Ash
It’s insane the way that man can work with his hands. The amount of detail he puts into his work. His mom must be really proud of him for all that he’s accomplished.
Me, on the other hand? I haven’t done anything. I didn’t even go to the youth center like I had planned. I’ve been too wrapped up in Tristan, and maybe that’s wrong.
“Will you take me out?” I ask him, catching his attention.
“Where?”
“Wherever you go. I want to see what it’s like being you,” I tell him. I’ve been wondering what it would be like to hang out at the places Tristan does.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
“Why not?”
“Because you’re not like me, Ash.”
“And that’s supposed to mean what?” I huff now. I can handle myself with him, so I should be fine with his friends.
“You know what? Never mind. I’ll take you,” he says, getting back to work. I grin because I finally have a win with him. He’s going to take me out and show me what he likes to do with his free time. Not that I would know what I like to do. I haven’t done anything.
I watch as he finishes what he’s working on and then cleans himself up. He comes back out of the bathroom with wet hair and black clothes as per his usual. He walks over, pulls me off the chair, and spins me around, making me laugh before he pulls me into him.
“We’re going to do so many things together,” he tells me.
“Like what?”
“I can’t ruin the surprise for you, Little Nun, but when I get done with you, you’re going to be the Little Unholy.” My heart leaps inside of me a little, and I don’t know if it’s from fear or excitement. Or maybe a little of both.
“Is this wrong?”
“Nothing is wrong,” he says before pulling me by my hand and out of the warehouse.
“Why do you have so many snakes?”
“I have two. A boa named Max and a python named Jones.”
“They’re big,” I tell him as we climb on his bike, and he passes me a helmet.
“They’re not fully grown yet. They’re basically babies.”
“That’s a baby?” I ask, not sure I heard him right. There’s no way. Those things are huge.
“Yeah.”
“Aren’t they dangerous?”
“If not handled correctly, they are, but I know what I’m doing.”
I shrug as he tugs my arms around him and then revs his bike. We take off down the road, and I smile behind the helmet. I love this. I know it’s only the second time I’ve been on his bike, but this is perfect.
He stops the bike at the same place I hid in his trunk. When the helmet is off, Tristan grabs my hand and leads me down the steps and inside the place once again. This time, he crosses the room with me in tow and drops down into the chair, pulling me into his lap.
“Well, look who decided to come see us,” one of the guys sitting there says as he eyes me and Tristan.
“You miss me, fuckers?” Tristan asks.
“Thought you were locked up,” the other says.
“They released me after seventy-two hours.”
“I take it you’re not on the meds?” Tristan shakes his head as if they should have already known that and then orders a few beers and a shot. I watch him take down the shot and then the beer like it’s nothing before he offers it to me. I shake my head. I’m not a drinker and never have been.
“You wanted to see what it was like,” he tells me. He goes on and introduces me to his friends as I sip on the beer, even though it’s nasty.
“So you’re the stepsister, huh?” Andy asks.
“That’s me.”
“He said you were a bible thumper,” Rod inserts himself into the conversation now.
“I am. I was. I honestly don’t know what I am anymore,” I admit to them.
“Nothing wrong with that. Fuck, we don’t know who we are most days. The thing is, you should never let anyone tell you what or who you should be, right? You’re your own person. There shouldn’t be any fucking judgment from anyone.” He’s right. I shouldn’t be judged for who I want to be, but I don’t know who that is anymore.
Tristan has shown me a side of myself I didn’t know I had, and now I want to explore that more. But if my dad finds out, he’ll surely lock me away so I can never see Tristan again.
“I’m just enjoying feeling free. I don’t think I’ve felt that in a long time,” I tell them. Tristan’s hand clamps down on my thigh, giving it a little squeeze when another girl comes walking over.
“What’s this?”
“What’s what?” Andy asks her.
“Who the hell is she?”
“She’s my girl,” Tristan tells her. I can see the anger in her gaze and by the way she looks at me, she isn’t happy I’m here.
“Since when?”
“Since I fucked her senseless, that’s when.” I tense a little, not knowing he was going to tell her that, but then again, Tristan isn’t one to hold back.
“Was that before or after I sucked you off?” she asks. Now, I move off Tristan’s lap and rush toward the stairs as quickly as I can.
I hear him laughing behind me, but when I rush up the steps, he’s already there, wrapping his arm around my waist and dragging me back into him.
“Let me go.”
“You wanted this, Little Nun.”
“I didn’t need to hear about all the girls you slept with.”
“Did you think it was only you?”
“I … I don’t know what I thought!”
“I’ve fucked other people, Ash. I don’t plan on it while I’m with you,” he tells me. I slowly relax into his hold and he spins me in his arms so I’m facing him.
“I can’t do what she did.”
“What?”
“Suck you or whatever she’s talking about.” Now, he laughs once more.
“Oh, you can, and you will. She’s just being a bitch to try and piss you off. Why are you letting her?”
“What? Because I’m here with you and clearly she has an issue with that!” I snap at him.
“You think I give a shit about her issue? No, I damn well don’t, and neither should you. You wanted to know what it’s like to be me? Then try not giving a shit, Ash. Fuck her.”
“You did,” I remind him. He laughs again, and this time, I find myself smiling with him.
“See that? You did good just now. Fuck her, Ash. Really, she means nothing.” I nod my head, and he leads me back down the stairs and back inside, where his friends are still drinking.
“Don’t let that bitch get to you, Ash. She’s fucked half this club,” Andy informs me. That doesn’t really make me feel any better, but now I’m kind of glad it wasn’t just Tristan.
“Already forgotten,” I tell them as they pass me another drink. I sip on this one until my head gets a little fuzzy and listen to the guys talking and just messing around.
My body feels hot, too hot. My insides are burning as Tristan runs his hand up and down my thigh. I gasp when he moves it slightly higher.
“Tristan,” I whisper his name near his ear.
“Yeah?”
“I feel warm and tingly all over.” He laughs and presses a kiss to the side of my head.
“It’s the alcohol,” he tells me. “It’ll make you feel like that.”
“No. It’s like I need something,” I admit to him.
“You’re horny, Little Nun?” he asks me. I don’t know what that feels like, but if this is it, then yes.
“I don’t know,” I tell him. He leans in, nipping my earlobe, sending more heat coursing through my body.
“I need you, Tristan,” I tell him.
“You have me.”
“You know what I mean. I think … I think I need sex,” I whisper causing him to laugh once more. He bites my earlobe harder this time and nods his head.
“Home or here?”
“Home?” I ask him. He nods his head, but then I see some strange look in his eyes. He moves his gaze from me to someone else and then to his friends. They both see what I don’t.
“What?” I ask. Tristan shoves me off his lap before standing and moving toward some other guy. His fist pulls back and slams into his face before I hear the name Shane leave his mouth. The man falls to the floor with Tristan on top of him, but I’m so out of it right now that I don’t know what to do but stand and watch.
His friends move in to pull him away from the guy’s lifeless body, and that’s when he turns to me and grins. I should be scared, but with this much alcohol in me, I’m not.
“Fuck, Tristan,” one of the guys says, but I can’t tell who. The room is spinning, and my body is humming with need. Need for Tristan.
“You see that, Little Nun? That’s who the fuck I am!” Tristan yells as his friends usher us toward the steps.
“Go home. We’ll handle this,” Andy says as he shoves us toward the steps. Tristan grabs my hand with his bloody one and drags me up the stairs and toward the bike quickly. He shoves the helmet on my head and forces me onto the bike before he’s on it, and we’re taking off.
