Epilogue #2
IZZY
Derrick lies on his side on the floor, staring at our baby girl.
I swear I blinked, and she went from a newborn to a full-on baby.
Nine-month-old Eleanor babbles in her adorable baby speak, and Derrick smiles.
“Is that so, baby girl? And then what happened?”
She babbles some more, rolling onto her stomach and giving him a drool-filled smile, showing off her two teeth. He rubs his hand over her soft dark hair. There’s not a lot of it, but it’s growing in.
I thought I loved this man before, but witnessing him with our daughter is on a whole new level.
Eleanor giggles, reaching out with a chubby hand to grab his nose.
Derrick takes her hand and presses a kiss to her silky skin.
We spend most of our time in the nursery these days. It’s become our favorite room in the house. When we found out I was pregnant, we immediately got to work planning all the details of the space. Every inch has been customized, some details his, some mine. He was still in here working on finishing touches when I went into labor.
“Ellie”—he taps her nose—“do you want a brother or sister?”
He looks over at me with a wink.
We didn’t plan on having another child so soon, but I’m already eight weeks pregnant with baby number two.
I shouldn’t be so surprised.
My husband is hot, and I have a difficult time staying away from him.
My life looks vastly different from what it was just a few years ago, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I found what—and who—I’d always been searching for.
Luckily, most of my followers have stuck around despite the pivot in my content and life. It’s incredible to know that so many of them like me for who I am and not just the videos I put out.
Lux even sent a gift when I announced my first pregnancy.
Life can work in mysterious ways at times. When I got canceled, I was sure my life was over, and I knew things would never be the same.
They certainly aren’t the same, but that moment really was the beginning of everything.
