28. Kyrian

Energy courses through my body like I’ve never felt before. When we left the hospital, we came straight to the warehouse.

It was time to end two worthless pieces of shit. Hearing Elena tell us in vivid detail what she went through that night, I wanted to puke. She was so strong to withstand that abuse. How could any parent do that to their own child?

We’ve spent the last hour torturing them, but now it’s time to finish it. I’m ready to go home and change. The sun is down so it’s the perfect time to enact our plan.

“Oh, Sally Anne, what a caring mother you are.” I can’t help but laugh at the insane words that just come out of my mouth.

She makes a gurgling sound as blood pours from between her lips and down her chin. It’s kind of hard to talk without a tongue. That was the first thing to go when I got here. Every word she spoke after I removed the tape was full of hatred against my sunshine.

“No, wait, that’s not accurate. You’re a waste of breath and space. How anyone as sweet and caring as Elena came from the two of you is beyond me. But I’m done. Neither you nor your fucking husband will ever hurt anyone else again.” With that I stick the ice pick I grabbed from the tray of toys into her eye and rip it from the socket. But that”s not all; I stuff it in her mouth, taking hold of her chin and nose with my hand, pressing them together, over and over, forcing her to eat it.

Killian lets out a sinister laugh as he does his last bit of justice to Jeffrey. Holding Jeffrey’s shriveled cock in the air, he turns on the electric meat carver and slices through it, blood splattering everywhere before dropping the pieces on the floor.

“Hey, asshole! You got me with his tainted blood,” I bark at him.

“You wanted to be part of this. Just say it’s your christening to the family. You’re finally a full-fledged Sartori.”

I guess I am. A small part of me wonders if our parents would be proud of me. Oh fuck, what will Elena think? Will she be okay with this?

“Killian.”

“Yeah, one second,” he responds as he takes the saw and moves up to Jeffrey’s head, placing the blade at his ear. It powers on and he slices through the cartilage holding it in place.

He fucking taunts the bastard the whole time. The macabre scene stirring a part of me I never knew existed.

I’m so deeply lost in that thought I don’t even hear Killian calling my name until something comes flying at my face. I’m barely able to dodge the object, and when it lands on the floor beside me, I see it”s the fucking severed ear.

“Fucking Christ, Killian!”

“Well, you wouldn’t answer. What did you want to ask?”

“It’s Elena. What do you suppose she’ll think of us when she finds out what we”ve done to her parents?” My shoulders slouch as I blow out a deep breath. After everything that’s happened in just a few short days, I don’t want to lose her yet again.

“We don’t tell her. She’ll know they’ll never hurt her again and that’s enough. We”ll ensure she”s aware of that. How it happened or who did it means nothing.”

I think about it. We’d be keeping information from her. Something that could totally change how she feels about us. It’s not a lie technically, but will she see it as one?

A lie of omission versus the truth.

Which one do we do? Which one do I do?

“Come on, let”s get this over with,” Killian says, as he drops the meat cutter on the table and grabs the tape, placing a strip over the bastard”s mouth. “I’ll get the van, be ready to load them up.”

Killian heads into Liam’s office to get the keys so we can dispose of the two pieces of scum.

We thought about what the best way to get rid of them would be and finally landed on the only one that would give Elena closure so she would never fear him coming after her again.

It doesn’t take long before Killian’s pulling the van up. I unlock the wheels on the bitch’s table and roll her over, stopping at the cabinet to get some rope out.

Killian gets out of the van and heads to the back, undoing Sally’s hands, holding them in place while I tie them up, then do the same to her feet. Once I’m done, we each take an end of her squirming body and toss her into the back of the van. Not caring that her head hits the metal floor. Serves the cunt right.

We do the same with Jeffrey before we both get in the van.

It’s dark out, now that it’s almost midnight and we head further out of town, straight to the address Liam gave us for the house that Jeffrey has been hiding out in for the last year. Pulling up outside the broken down home, the bones of it barely holding the roof up.

“This is even more perfect than we thought. It’ll go up in a blaze of glory.” Killian backs the van up so we can go straight into the house with the passengers in the back. With how secluded this place is, it”s very unlikely that anyone will see what we’re doing, but we still need to be cautious.

It takes us about thirty minutes to get them inside and everything set up.

“Okay, inject them, then we’re good to go,” Killian announces as he splashes gasoline around.

Heading back out to the van, I open up the chest and pull out two needles. Paralytics to ensure the scumbags don’t manage to crawl out of the house. When I step back inside, Killian”s dousing both of them in gas.

“Hey, you get him.” Killian drops the gas can as I toss a syringe to him.

Finally, my parents and the woman I love will have justice.

Stepping into the room, Uncle Liam is slumped over with his head resting on the bed. My girl is awake, though, a hand gently resting on his head.

“Hey,” comes softly from her.

“Got you some coffee,” I tell her as I step further into the room. Killian pushes past me, heading straight for her, taking the seat which should be mine right beside her bed.

“Thank you.” She tries to move, but grimaces.

“Let me help you.” Killian jumps to his feet at the same time Uncle Liam lifts his head.

“Boys.” His voice is deep and gruff from being asleep. “Little Mouse.”

“Good morning, Sir.” Even though I can’t see his face, I know it’s lighting up with pride.

“How was your night, boys?”

“Good, I would have rather been here, but I had fun playing games with my brother,” I say, hoping that Elena doesn’t catch on to the fact that I’m speaking in code.

“Good. I was thinking we need to talk about our living arrangements. Elena will require assistance during her recovery, and considering I have space in my house with vacant rooms, I thought we could all move in together.”

“What?” Elena asks, as she glances between the three of us.

I have to admit the old man has a good point. I want my girl with us, and there’s no way in hell she is going back to her home alone. Not now, not ever.

“We... we just met. That’s crazy and I can take care of myself,” she replies.

“It’s not crazy, Cookie. I think it’s perfect. We get a head start on being a unified group. Plus, if you think you’re going back to that house by yourself, you’re crazy. No way in hell am I risking something happening to you again.”

“Agreed,” Uncle Liam chimes in, indicating unanimous consensus among us.

Before we can say anything more, there’s a knock on the door. Turning, I see the investigator from yesterday and another officer standing there.

“Good morning, Miss Hastings. May we speak with you for a moment?”

“Yes, come inside.”

“Is it okay to speak in front of everyone?” I see how he looks at us. The slight tremor in his body.

“Yes, they’re… um they’re—”

“We’re her men,” I add, saving her from having to say it. I know it’s new to her and she’s probably afraid of what people will think.

“Thank you. Miss Hastings, is it okay to speak freely?”

“Yes, they’re my boyfriends.” She clears her throat as she shifts uncomfortably.

“In the early hours of this morning, emergency services were dispatched to a fire. The house was burned to the ground and the remains of two humans were found inside. The coroner examined them and dental records identified them as your parents, Jeffrey and Sally Anne Hastings. You identified both as your attackers and we wanted to let you know the case is now closed. As the next of kin, you will be notified after the investigation is over to dispose of the remains. In a weird way, justice was served.”

My brave girl breaks down, and Killian quickly hugs her, whispering in her ear.

“I’m sorry to bring such grim news. If you need anything, please contact me.” He hands his business card to Uncle Liam and they both turn and leave the room.

“Little Mouse, look at me.” Uncle Liam’s deep, soothing voice breaks Elena from her sobs and Killian releases her so she can look over to him.

“Yes, Sir.”

“I know that no matter how badly they may have treated you, they’re still your parents. It’s okay to mourn the loss of the people they could have been. But do not mourn who they are. Just know that they can never hurt you or anyone else ever again. So cry if you need to. But tomorrow there will be no more tears for them. I can handle the arrangements for the disposal of what’s left of their bodies. If you want a grave, I’ll do it. If you want them tossed into the ocean, I will. It’s your choice.”

“Okay,” she whimpers.

We sit with her, letting her shed all the tears for the life she used to have, knowing that today starts a new one. It’ll be one filled with love, happiness, and babies. Lots of babies. I just wish that my parents could be here to spoil them.
