Appendix 1 The Empire of Lumeria

There are twelve countries united under the Lumerian Empire, Lumeria Nutavia. Each country is presided over by one of the Twelve Ruling Kavim. Each country is governed by an Arkasva, the High Lord or Lady of the ruling Ka.

All twelve countries submit to the rule and law of the Emperor. Each Arkasva also answers to an Imperator, one Arkasva with jurisdiction over each country in either the Northern or Southern hemispheres of the Empire. In addition to the Emperor’s rule, twelve senators, one from each country, fill the twelve seats of the Senate. A senator must not belong to the ruling Ka of their country.

The roles of Imperator and Emperor are lifelong appointments. They are not passed onto family members, but must instead be elected by the ruling Kavim. Kavim may not submit a candidate for either role if the previous Imperator or Emperor belonged to their Ka.

Imperators may keep their ties to their Ka and continue to rule in their own country, but an Emperor will lose their Ka upon anointing and must be like a father or mother to all Lumerians.

Empiric Chain of Command

Emperor Theotis, High Lord of Lumeria Nutavia

The Emperor rules over the entire Empire from its capitol, Numeria. The Emperor oversees the running of the Senate, and the twelve countries united under the Empire.

Devon Hart, Imperator of the North

The Imperator of the North is an Arkasva who not only rules their own country, but also oversees the rule of the remaining five countries belonging to the North. His rule includes the following countries, currently ruled by the following Kavim:

Glemaria, Ka Hart

Payunmar, Ka Valyan

Hartavia, Ka Taria

Ereztia, Ka Sephiron

Aravia, Ka Lumerin

Sindhuvine, Ka Kether

Avery Kormac, Imperator of the South

The Imperator of the South is an Arkasva who not only rules their own country, but also oversees rule of the remaining five countries belonging to the South. The sitting Imperator is also nephew to the Emperor. His rule includes the following countries currently being ruled by the following Kavim:

Bamaria, Ka Batavia

Korteria, Ka Kormac

Elyria, Ka Elys (previously Ka Azria)

Damara, Ka Daquataine

Lethea, Ka Maras

Cretanya, Ka Zarine

The Immortal Afeyan Courts*

The Sun Court: El Zandria, ruled by King RaKanam

The Moon Court: Khemet, ruled by Queen Ma’Nia

The Star Court: Night Lands, ruled by Queen Ishtara

*Afeyan Courts are not considered part of the Lumerian Empire, nor do they submit to the Emperor. However, history, prior treaties, and trade agreements have kept the courts at peace, and working together. They are the only two groups to have shared life on the continent of Lumeria Matavia.
