I try running. Although, being able to keep up with the wolves all my life is no match for a perilous man that moves with the shadows. The universe is pushing us together, begging for us to rekindle a love from a past lifetime. I don’t want to defy it. I want our bodies molded, our hearts beating in tandem and thumping their melody into each other. But I’m prone to getting dragged into the swallowing darkness—and I’m grieving while processing trauma.
