Prologue

After we danced three slow dances, I unwrapped all the bandages around my head and face. When I asked her out on a date, she answered by saying, “Oh yes, You’ll do nicely.” I would find out much later that there were many who would do nicely for her.
Ally and I dated for six months and then ran off to Las Vegas to tie the knot. At our age, we both felt it was time to settle down.
Ally’s sister Piper tried to warn me several times before we travelled off to get married. “You know that my sister has been a party girl since her sixteenth birthday?” She asked me. “She has been passed around more than a bible in a Babtist church,” she told me.
“4She promised me that she wants to settle down with me,” I had told her that day. “Yeah, good luck with that. Time will tell,” she retorted.
