Epilogue

Marco

"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited it's time to get my cast off!" Kai said excitedly. They were waiting in Vince's new private clinic that he shared with Dr. Bird.

"It might not happen today, bambino," Marco chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"But, Dr. Black said six weeks. It's been six weeks!"

"He said six to eight weeks. You might have two more weeks to go, baby." Marco held Kai's hand and squeezed. Kai just sulked and Marco chuckled.

"Kai Jackson," a nurse in pastel pink scrubs called.

Marco stood with Kai and they were led back to an exam room and she took all of the normal vitals.

Marco looked around and realized this exam room looked very similar to a pediatrics office.

Bright fun colors, cartoons on the paper in the exam table.

Marco chuckled, this must be the Little exam rooms Vince was telling him about.

Apparently Bird was able to hire everyone who was either a Little, Middle, Top or someone who knew the lifestyle but didn't live it.

That way they could see their Little and Middle patients but also see anyone else.

"Dr. Vince will be in shortly to finish," the nurse said softly before leaving.

"I know my cast is going to come off today. I can feel it," Kai said stubbornly. Marco chuckled again then leaned against the soft table and kissed Kai's forehead. Vince walked in carrying a couple black and white, slightly see through papers.

"Hiya, Kai," Vince said cheerfully as he stuck them on a box in front of the table.

"Hiya, Dr. Black. Is my arm healed? Can I get this cast off?" Kai looked so hopeful. Vince flipped a switch and the box lit up showing two different views of what Marco assumed was Kai's arm.

"These are two X-Rays we took of your arm.

This one is right after the car crash." Marco winced as he saw the bones very obviously broken and separate.

He didn't like it when he thought back to Kai getting hurt.

It frustrated him that Barry still hadn't been able to catch the guy who'd crashed into his baby boy.

"This one is one we took two days ago. See this slight grey line?

This means that the bone has calcified and there is a small callus that is holding the two parts together.

It might be a little sore but yes, I feel comfortable taking your cast off.

" Marco smiled as Kai cheered. He stepped back as he let Vince do his job.

Marco was feeling very content and happy.

He loved Kai. They had an amazing relationship and they'd be getting married in about eleven months on Christmas.

Kai wanted to do it on the anniversary of when Marco had proposed.

He'd decided that was the best time and he wanted Kai to have everything he'd ever dreamed of.

Kai

"Yay! I'm so glad!" Penny cheered over the phone. Kai was sitting at home coloring on the coffee table. He'd remembered that Penny had asked him to update her after his appointment so he called her.

"I know. I'm glad too. That cast was getting on my nerves!" Penny laughed.

"Are you happy, Kai?" Penny asked seriously. Kai paused and looked at his phone in surprise.

"Yes, Penny, more happy than I've ever been. Are you okay?"

"Yes, I was just thinking that it might be time I find my own Daddy, you know. I see you, Marshie, Amy, Amelia, Ruby with their Daddies and I feel happy for you all but I also feel..."

"Jealous?"

"A little bit. I want that happiness, you know?"

"I know. So, you're gonna ask Landon?" Kai smiled, happily. His sister had a smitten and built in Daddy for her.

"What, no! I don't shit where I eat, you know that. I'm not Landon's perfect Little. He's not into me like that."

"Oh."

"I'm going to do normal person things and date the Tops who I spend time with at the club if they want."

"Yes! Thank you!" Marco said from the other room.

"It sounds like your Daddy has some news to share with you. Talk to you later. I love you."

"I love you too. Just be safe, Pen."

"Always." The call ended and Kai found his Daddy standing in the kitchen over a steaming bowl of mac and cheese.

"Daddy? Is everything okay?" Marco turned toward Kai and swooped him up, twirling with Kai.

"Daddy!" Kai squealed and laughed.

"Barry found him!" Marco explained as he sat Kai down and kissed his head.

"Found who?" Marco picked up the fork and fed Kai a few bites before he explained.

"The asshole who crashed into you."

"Wait, really?"

"Yeah, his ex-girlfriend turned him in. There was enough forensic evidence to put him away. He'll be going to jail for ten years."

"Ten years? That seems excessive for a hit and run." Kai let Daddy wipe his face as he listened. Marco being so happy made more sense. He didn't like that the person that hurt Kai had been walking free.

"Yeah well, it turned out he was beating his girlfriend and almost killed her. He would have gotten seven years for that alone but with the attempted hit and run and being drunk while driving. He'll be getting ten years."

"Oh, well that makes sense. That poor woman. Is she okay?"

"Yeah, she's under cop protection in the hospital until they arrest and try him. Barry is going to be sending a police officer over here every once in a while."

"I doubt he's going to try to hurt me. It's been six weeks."

"Yeah, but I don't play with the safety of my Little boy and future husband.

" Kai rolled his eyes but he was happy. Marco showed him how much he loved him by everything that he did or said.

Kai knew he was lucky to have Marco and was so excited to spend the rest of his life with him.

He needed to give Landon a gift basket or something for convincing Marco to give Kai an interview.

"What do you want to do after lunch, Daddy,"

"Whatever you want, bambino. I love you."

"I love you too, Daddy, forever and always."

"Forever and always."
