Chapter 12 Faith and Reuben

FAITH AND REUBEN

“Are you ready?” Reuben asked as he tucked a blanket around her legs. “You’ve got snacks, a drink, and Colin, Piggy, and Courageous Camel.” He did her seatbelt up before moving around to the driver’s side of their rental SUV and climbing in.

Yep, she was surrounded by her friends.

And she was snug as a bug in a rug.

However, she still felt a bit nervous.

“You really think we’ll be okay driving in this?”

“The storm has passed. We’re not traveling the whole way to Wishingbone today. Tomorrow is going to be a long day, not going to lie. But we should make it by late Christmas Eve.”

“I’m so sorry I didn’t want to fly again today!” she told him, feeling guilty.

Ralph and Alfie were flying back to New York tonight. They probably could have flown them to Montana, but she’d been unable to stomach the thought of getting back on a plane. She knew she’d have to do it at some stage. But not right now.

Maybe it wasn’t her fault that the storm had hit. Perhaps she hadn’t forced the plane to land because she’d wanted to get off.

But she really felt guilty that they were having to travel by car all the way to Montana because she was a big old wimp.

Reuben was missing out on quality time with Juliet. That’s why they’d decided to fly in the first place.

“I do not like that look on your face,” he growled. “What is going on in that head of yours?”

Turning to her, he grasped hold of her chin so she couldn’t glance away.

She sighed and shifted around in her seat.

“You’re blaming yourself again, aren’t you?” he said to her.

Drat.

What to say? If she lied, she’d be in trouble. If she didn’t lie, she’d be in trouble.

It was a bad situation to be in, quite honestly.

“You are. Faith, what have I told you?”

“Um, well, you’ve told me lots of things, if I’m honest. You might need to be a bit more specific.”

“Fine. Here it is, you are the most important thing in my world. That means your comfort and safety come first. Because I love you and if anything were to happen to you, my life would be over. I don’t want to hear any more guilt from you. Got it?”

She bit her lip. She didn’t quite agree with him, but his tone told her that would be the smartest move.

“Got it.”

“Good girl. I hear or see you thinking any differently, and you’re in big trouble.”

Faith bit her lower lip. “What kind of big trouble?”

“The kind that ends with you over my knee. And then my head between your legs, teasing you until you cry and plead with me to come, only I won’t let you. That kind of trouble.”

“I really don’t like that kind of trouble, Daddy.”

“I didn’t think you would,” he said dryly as they headed out on their trip. “I put your pacifier into your bag. In an hour’s time you’re going to have a nap.”

“I’m not really that tired.”

“You have dark marks under your eyes and you’re pale. I don’t like that. You’re tired, you just don’t think you are. So you’re going to have a nap,” he said firmly

Faith sighed as she turned her head to take him in. He was lucky he was so darn handsome.

Because he sure was bossy.

As she felt a yawn develop, she turned her head. She didn’t want him to see that.

Then he’d think he was right. And he already had a massive head.

“I saw that,” he told her.

“How could you see anything, Daddy?” she grumbled. “You’re supposed to be watching the road. Naughty Daddy, are you not paying attention while driving?”

Was she trying to distract him from the yawn?

Why yes, she was.

Was it working?

Probably not. Reuben was like a dog with a bone sometimes.

“I can do two things at once and I also know that you need a nap.”

Faith grumbled as he told her to get out her pacifier. She pulled it from her bag and snuggled into her seat.

“Put your pacifier in and go to sleep, baby.”

With a sigh, she did as he ordered. And she felt herself drifting. But then her bladder alerted her to the fact that she’d drunk way too much this morning.

Shoot.

They’d barely even started their trip. Reuben wasn’t going to stop for her to pee.

“What’s wrong, Little Blossom?” he asked as he laid his hand over hers.

She opened her mouth, taking out the pacifier, and glanced over at him.

“Are you uncomfortable? You keep shifting around on the seat.”

“Um, well.”

“What is it?” he asked in concern.

“I really have to pee. Sorry!”

“Don’t be sorry, Little Blossom,” he told her. “When you have to go, you have to go. I’ll pull over as soon as I see a place.”

“Thanks, Daddy.” She moved around again on the seat. Silly bladder.

Why wouldn’t it wait?

It should learn some patience.

“Perhaps I should have put some diapers on you for the trip. Then you’d be able to sleep the whole way through.”

“Daddy! I don’t need diapers. I’m a big girl. I can hold on.”

Sheesh.

The sounds of goats bleating distracted her and she reached into her handbag to grab her phone.

“It’s Charlie!” she cried, answering it. “Merry Christmas, Charlie.”

“Merry Christmas, Faith,” Charlie replied. “Are you all right? Are you still in Minneapolis? I’m so sorry, I just saw your text.”

She’d thought it was weird that she hadn’t received a reply from him. He didn’t usually go so long without answering her messages.

“That’s okay,” she said, even though she wanted to ask him what he’d been doing that he hadn’t noticed her message.

And why he sounded so tired. “We’re not in Minneapolis anymore, we rented an SUV and we’re driving to Montana.

The storm cleared although the sky isn’t looking the best out there.

But we’ll drive for a few hours today then stop for the night.

And then get to Montana hopefully tomorrow night. ”

“On Christmas Eve? Be careful. The roads sound scary out there.”

“They are. But Reuben is with me. He won’t let anything happen to me.”

“Of course not. He’s the best Daddy ever.”

Was it her imagination or did he sound sad? Maybe a bit envious?

Worry for him bit at her stomach.

“Are you all right, Charlie?”

“Me?” he said with fake-brightness. “Of course I am.”

She bit her lip. “You’re sure?”

“Yeah. You don’t need to worry about me. I’ve got Christmas plans with Christopher. We’re actually going ice skating tonight.”

“Ice-skating? Have you ever been ice skating?”

“Uh, yeah, fell on my butt and cracked my tailbone,” he said with an uneasy laugh. “But I’m sure this time will be great. Better go. Bye!”

Faith ended the call as Reuben pulled into a rest area.

“Everything okay?” he asked.

“I’m really not sure,” she replied worriedly. “He just doesn’t sound right, you know? I’m concerned that he’s hiding something from me. But I’m probably being silly, right?”

He frowned. “When we get back home, I’ll take another look at his new Daddy. Maybe we’ll have them over for dinner.”

“So you can intimidate him?” she asked.

“Yes.”

Faith nodded. “Good. I think that’s an excellent idea. Intimidate him so he knows that Charlie isn’t to be messed with.”

Reuben shot her a surprised look, then he grinned. “You still surprise me, Little Blossom.”

“In a good way?”

“Definitely in a good way. Wait there.”

He got out and grabbed his jacket from the backseat, pulling it on before he came around and grabbed her jacket. Then he opened her door and unlocked her seatbelt before extracting her from her stuffies and blanket. He helped her put her jacket on, zipping her up and drawing up the hood.

“Careful. Keep hold on my hand in case the ground is slippery,” he bossed.

Faith nodded. She always loved holding his hand. He led her inside and into a family bathroom so he could go in with her.

“Daddy, you don’t have to come in with me,” she told him as he crouched and pulled down her pants and panties before helping her sit on the toilet.

Reuben shot her a look of disbelief. “Like I’m going to leave you alone in a public bathroom? Who knows what could happen to you.”

He was too much. Shaking her head, she peed and let him clean her up and help her wash her hands.

Then he led her out of the bathroom. Faith spotted an older couple watching them. Both of them had gray hair. The man was huge, he had a bit of a belly, but he looked like he’d worked hard all his life and was still as strong as an ox. The woman was shorter and rounded with a kind face.

They were staring at her. Faith blushed. Did they see them come out of the same toilet? Maybe they thought they’d been having sex in there or something.

“What do you want, Little Blossom?” Reuben asked as he got a coffee.

“I’m all right.”

He shot her a look, then glanced around with a frown. “Something wrong?”

Faith shook her head and stayed with him as he walked over to the counter. Someone moved in close behind her and she turned to see the older couple.

“The two of you are so cute,” the lady said. “You remind me of myself and Nick. He always takes wonderful care of me. Merry Christmas to you both.”

Surprise filled her and she smiled. “Thank you. Merry Christmas.”

Reuben turned to look at the couple, his eyebrows rising high. Then he nodded to them and led her outside.

“Do you think they looked like . . .” she trailed off, unsure if she should say it.

“Like a nice, older couple?” Reuben said. “Yeah, they did.”

Hmm. That wasn’t quite what she’d been thinking. But she’d go with it.

Several hours later, they pulled into a hotel that was just off the highway. For some reason, Faith was wide awake. Probably because she’d had a nap on the way.

Reuben got out and grabbed their luggage before coming around to help her out. She put her smaller toys in her large tote bag and wrapped Colin up in her blanket before heading in with Reuben.

The place was quiet and check-in was quick. They walked into their room and she glanced around. It was a pretty standard hotel room. Clean and sterile. But it would work.

“Time to get ready for bed, Little Blossom,” Reuben said as he checked the door was locked behind them and then went over to pull the drapes.

“I’m not really tired yet.”

He shot her a look. “It’s late. You need to get some sleep and we have to be up early.”

Her lip popped out in a pout.

“Time for bed. If you’re a good girl, Daddy will let you suck his cock to get off to sleep.”

“All right, Daddy!” she cried as she unzipped her suitcase and grabbed out her toilet bag. After brushing her teeth, Reuben got her dressed in a pair of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer pajamas. He even put a pair of training pants on her.

“Just in case,” he told her as he popped her butt, then tucked her into bed. “I’ll just be a minute.” He headed into the bathroom to get ready.

She yawned again. When he came out, he wore just a pair of boxers. He laid his clothes out on a chair. “Just in case the fire alarm goes in the middle of the night. Happens more than you think in hotels.”

Sliding off his boxers, he got into bed and Faith slid down the bed with a sigh, taking his cock into her mouth.

Heaven.
