Chapter fifteen
South Tavia: Snorkeling: 9:00 AM
I pull the sliding door open and step out onto our balcony. It’s still early, but we had to get up before eight to get ready to go snorkling. The view is as beautiful as always. The ocean glitters like thousands of diamonds in the sunlight. The waterscape stretches out, endless and breathtaking.
When we arrived at South Tavia yesterday we spent the day hiking and exploring the ancient ruins in the jungle, before hiking to the waterfall and seeing their Meelae turtles, bright blue tiny turtles that this portion of the island is know for.
“Ready?” Dylan asks as he slides his arms around me and presses a kiss to the top of my head. I love that he’s always finding ways to touch me. He’s either sneaking little touches here and there, holding my hand, or cuddling against me.
“Yes, Daddy. Let’s go snorkeling.”
We make our way off the ship and follow our friends down to the beach.
By the time we make it to the designated spot, the sun is bright in the sky, reflecting off the pristine white sand of the beach. Off in the distance the ocean crashes against the shoreline.
“What do you say about us finding our own spot in the water?” Dylan asks, eyes sparkling. He’s so handsome with with golden curls shining in the sun, and his tight black swim trunks clinging to his hips. From this angle I can see the ancient ruins just behind him. If Dylan ended up confessing that he is Apllo, the sun god himself, in this moment, I’d believe it.
I glance back at our friends and see the couples pairing off, even Ash and Daddy John are here today. Both Dylan and I have been snorkeling before, so I don’t think it’s an issue if we do our own thing.
Nodding, I tug him further down the waterline. “Let’s just spend today together. You and me. What do you think?”
He gives me skeptical look and I know he wants to say something. We only have two days left on our cruise and I’ve been hoarding Dylan to myself afraid that when we go back home, this temporary agreement will end and Dylan will truely just be my Daddy in paradise.
I get the feeling he wants to talk to me, but as hopeful as I am, I can’t guarantee he’s going to promise me a full relationship, Daddy and boyfriend in one. So, instead of letting him talk, I change the subject everytime he tries.
Call me selfish, but if this is all the time I get with him, I want every moment to special. I rub at the ache in my chest, and Dylan’s eyes drops to my hand.
“Are you okay, darlin’? We don’t have to go out there.”
I shake my head immediately “No way. I’ve been dying to get out there.”
“Okay then.”
We put on our flippers and goggles and laugh as we waddle our way toward the ocean.
