19. Thea
Chapter nineteen
Thea
The Winter Court
T he Beast nodded and let me follow his sister. His brother had been so welcoming that I hadn’t expected hostility from his sister. Her warning filled my heart with happiness, though. My sister wouldn’t do the same for me. Perhaps the demon’s family was better than my own. Discovering the Beast had known I was his fated mate most of his life made me even more impressed with his power and strength to wait until the time was right to claim me. I made my way through the crowd of various demons who parted for me with respect for my status and perhaps the guards at my back. I was a bit surprised the Beast let me go by myself.
“Tay,” I called out to her as she slipped through a door and ducked outside.
I steeled myself against the cold before stepping outside into the falling snow.
Tay stood on the balcony overlooking the white landscape. The trees below us were like crystalline statues, eerily pretty with their simple bare limbs covered in snow.
She spun and faced me. “Do you love him?”
“What?” I staggered back a step.
“My brother, do you love him?”
“I don’t think that’s any of your business.” I stepped forward again.
“It’s my business as his family, so answer the damn question.”
I inhaled a breath of the icy air, but it didn’t ease the warmth in my heart when I thought of the Beast.
“My heart fills with warmth when I’m with him,” I conceded.
Tay nodded.
“So his name is Ron?” I smirked.
Tay flicked her long, dark hair over her shoulder. “No, that’s not his name, but it’s what Rexan and I call him. Everyone else calls him Beast.”
“Ron just doesn’t seem masculine enough for his name.”
“That’s why we call him it.” Tay laughed.
I leaned against the snow-covered white stone balcony rail. “I have a sister. She’s nothing like you.”
“Is that meant to be a compliment or an insult?”
“Compliment all the way.” I ran a finger through the snow, watching it break off and fall to the ground. “I understand why you weren’t happy fate chose a siren for him, as we can be cold. Not like this snow, but…” I shrugged.
“Everyone thinks demons are beasts. It’s why Ron took the name. He figured if people thought that, he might as well call himself it first.” She eased closer to me. “I guess we all have our problems.”
“We do.” I turned to face her. “I don’t know about you, but I’m hungry, and your brother promised a feast tonight.”
Tay laughed and waved her hand at the door. “This way to the food.”
“I like your gown,” I said, following Tay back into the castle.
“Thank you. Rexan must have the best seamstress around. It wouldn’t surprise me if he tries to steal yours since your gown is so gorgeous.”
I ran my hand down the bodice. “I wanted to put on a better dress, but your brother insisted we needed to leave straight away.”
She paused, and I stopped beside her.
“Ron is the best. If you hurt him, I won’t care that you’re the siren queen. I’ll hurt you back, even if it starts a war between our courts.”
“So feisty.” I grinned. “I can see it’s a family trait.”
Tay laughed. “Any other woman would have run a mile by now.”
“I’m not any woman.”
“I suppose not. It takes a lot to be queen.” She resumed walking toward the dining hall.
I caught up to her as she entered the large room. The demons had laid rows upon rows of food out around the room. Baked slices of bread, bloody meats, fresh fruit, and everything in between. The scents ranged from savory to sweet.
The Beast and his brother walked toward us, concern etched on their brows. I stepped into the Beast’s arms, raised on tiptoe, and kissed his cheek.
“What was that for?” he asked quietly.
“For being my mate, of course.” I stepped back. “Now, feed me.”
He chuckled.
“I’ll feed you all right.” He led me toward a table. “Because in about another half hour, the tonic you drank will hit your system and then you’ll want me to feed you my cock.”
My eyebrows rose. Little did he realize I wanted his cock already. The Beast grabbed two plates, piled them high with an assortment of food, and settled us in a quieter corner of the room. He tugged me onto his lap and fed me with his fingers. The moment was more intimate than we’d experienced so far.
“My sister didn’t scare you off?” he asked between mouthfuls.
“Your sister is amazing.” I licked his fingers.
“She is. I wish she’d see it too.”
“She will, one day.” I snapped at the next mouthful of plump strawberry between his fingers and caught it between my teeth.
“My ravenous little queen.”
“Shh.” I placed my finger against his lips.
He nipped at the skin on my fingers. I sucked in an aroused breath. His warm scent filled my lungs. It swamped my entire body with arousal. My nipples tingled like a thousand volts of electricity were running through them and the sensation traveled lower to the junction of my legs. The Beast’s eyes darkened.
“The tonic has hit at last. Took long enough,” he said.
I slammed my mouth against his, so hungry for him I couldn’t stop myself. He inflamed my heightened senses with his lips and tongue. He sucked my tongue into his mouth, making me moan in wanton abandon.
“Your majesty,” Raelin interrupted us.
“What?” I mumbled as I licked and sucked the Beast’s neck.
“Perhaps the Beast can take you to a bedchamber?”
“Right.” The Beast stood with me in his arms.
I wrapped my legs around his waist as he carried me out of the dining hall. Not caring one bit who saw me, I gripped his horns in the way I knew he liked. He rammed my back against the hallway wall and slanted his mouth over mine again.
“Yes,” I cried as his mouth progressed down my neck.
“Let go of my horns, little queen,” he rumbled against my neck. “Otherwise, we’ll give everyone at the party a show.”
His words brought some semblance of sanity to my heightened arousal. I peeled my fingers from his horns. He spun and strode down the hallway again. I tugged at his shirt.
“Bed?”
“Upstairs,” he grunted.
“I can’t wait that long.”
He groaned and picked up his pace, his long, muscular legs eating up the ground. A second later, he threw open a door and slammed it shut with my back against the timber. A second after that, he’d gathered the length of my dress to my waist and fingered my dripping wet arousal. He suckled the skin on my neck into his mouth. Teeth nibbling on the tender flesh and shooting desire through my entire body.
“Not enough, Beast.”
“My demanding little queen.” He spun around and marched us over to a desk.
For a split second as he laid me down on the hard timber, I registered we were in a chancellery, but then his hands wrenched my panties from my legs and tossed them to the floor. He sank to his haunches and licked my slit from opening to clit. I clutched his horns and rammed myself into his mouth. He was relentless with his tongue on my sensitive flesh as he drove me over the precipice into a quivering mess of an orgasm.
I floated in the stratosphere of pleasure, but I needed more. I clamped my fingers into the base of his horns. He stood in a rush of rippling muscles as he wrenched his pants down, freeing the erect length of his hard cock. His large hands spread my thighs. His dark gaze drilled into me as he fed his hard cock into my slick welcoming embrace. The Beast pounded into me as though he was a demon possessed. Although I was the one who’d drank the tonic, if I didn’t know properly, I’d say it was the other way around.
The desk rattled as he thrust into me again and again, driving me up into the peak of pleasure with his hard rutting.
“More,” I pleaded.
He pinched my nipples through my dress. The pain and pleasure shot straight to my core. I clamped around his long length as I came again, screaming my release before he slammed his hand over my mouth to silence me.
His eyes darkened, then he pulled out, flipped me over, and filled me from behind. He pressed my neck into the desk, found my over-sensitive clit with his fingers, and toyed with me until I begged him to let me come. He stroked the bundle of nerves until every muscle in my body quivered in anticipation of the building release.
Tears leaked from the corners of my eyes. He leaned down and licked them from my face.
“Come for me, little queen.”
I came in a blinding bright light, taking him with me over the precipice. He moaned as he filled me to the brim with his recent release. Every part of my body eased into a happy bliss.
“That was…” I sighed.
“You’re not finished, not by a long shot.” He smoothed the hair back from my face. “I told you not to take the tonic.”
My muscles clamped in need again. How was I still writhing with desire after the intense orgasms he’d already given me? The Beast hardened inside me. I sighed in happiness. At least he’d take care of me.
My Beast. My lover and soon-to-be siren mate.
