Chapter 16
Bode
I woke to Wade’s arm heavy across my chest and Lucky’s breath warm against my neck, her small body trapped between ours.
The bedroom was bathed in a strange, ethereal light, too bright for morning, bouncing off the snow outside and filtering through the blinds I’d forgotten to close.
I knew what it was before I even glanced.
Snow. The first real dump of the season had arrived overnight, and my chest tightened at the thought, a response I couldn’t suppress.
My body remembered how to want the mountain even if my mind was determined to forget.
I glanced at the nightstand, and saw that my phone was blowing up with text messages from my friends.
As far as I knew, Mack and Ashton were at some indoor snow dome event in Japan, and the others were…
somewhere. But they still needed every detail about a powder day back home.
I flipped my phone over, because I just… couldn’t.
Lucky stirred, her eyes fluttering open. Her whole face transformed as she realized what was happening outside, lips parting, eyes widening with childlike excitement.
“Bode,” she whispered, her voice hushed with wonder. “Holy shit.”
“First big snow of the season,” I confirmed, trying to keep my voice neutral, but my throat felt tight around the word.
She was out of bed in an instant, the sheet falling away to reveal her naked body, all smooth brown skin and soft curves that I was still getting used to having permission to touch, though we’d fucked several times since that first night.
She padded over to the window and pulled the blinds open with a flourish.
“Holy shit.” She pressed her palms against the glass. “It must have dumped at least a foot overnight.”
Wade groaned beside me, his arm tightening around my waist. “Why is it so bright?” he mumbled, snuggling into the space Lucky left behind. “Turn off the sun.”
“Better than that.” Lucky turned back to us with a grin that lit up her entire face. “First real snow of the season. And it’s a weekend!”
Wade’s head popped up at that, his sleepy confusion morphing into excitement as he processed her words. “Really? How much?”
“At least a foot,” Lucky repeated, bouncing on her toes in a way that made her breasts jiggle distractingly. “Maybe more up on the mountain.”
I didn’t look toward the slopes visible through my bedroom windows. Didn’t want to see the fresh powder coating Elkhead Butte, didn’t want to imagine how it would feel to cut the first tracks through that pristine snow, didn’t want to remember the sensation of floating through untouched powder.
Instead, I pulled Wade closer, my hand sliding down his muscular back to cup his ass. “Or we could stay in bed all day,” I suggested, pressing my morning erection against his thigh. “I can think of better ways to spend a Saturday.”
Wade laughed, a warm rumble I could feel through his chest. “Tempting.” He nuzzled against my neck in a way that made me shiver.
“Absolutely not,” Lucky said, her voice taking on that commanding tone that made both of us snap to attention. Over the past week, we’d learned what that meant. “We’re not wasting snow by staying in bed all day.”
I groaned, burying my face in Wade’s shoulder. “It’s frozen water.”
“Blasphemy,” Lucky gasped, mock-scandalized. “From an Olympic gold medalist, no less.”
Lucky crossed the room and crawled back onto the bed, her naked body sliding against mine as she positioned herself on my other side. “Besides,” her lips brushed my ear, “one week, no fucking each other.”
“Today is one week, isn’t it? It’s Saturday.”
“Nope. We first fucked Sunday night, and I am a stickler for the rules. Tonight, you guys suck each other’s cocks. Today, we play!”
My cock twitched with interest, and Wade’s breath hitched beside me.
For the past week, Lucky had been enforcing her punishment, barely allowing us to touch.
The anticipation had been building to a level, especially after watching Wade with her, seeing the way his large hands gripped her hips, the way his face transformed when he came.
Now that I wasn’t allowed to have him, I couldn’t stop thinking about all the ways I wanted him, imagining his big cock inside my ass, wondering how he would taste, gripping my hair as he fucked my face like his life depended on it.
And I had a feeling Lucky knew exactly what she was doing, making us so desperate for each other that we’d follow her every command.
Wade blinked down at me. “That means tonight we can...?”
“Fuck each other?” I supplied, smirking at Lucky’s intake of breath. “Is that the plan, Duchess?”
She rolled her eyes at my deliberate use of her preferred title, but I could see the flush spreading across her cheeks. “Yes, that’s the plan. But first, snow.” She hopped off the bed again, heading for the door. “I’ll go make coffee while you two get dressed.”
“Wait,” Wade called after her. “You’re going to leave us like this?” He gestured at our hard-ons.
Lucky paused in the doorway, giving us a wicked smile over her shoulder. “Consider it motivation to get through the day.”
“Can we kiss each other, at least?”
“One kiss,” she said. “I’ll be back before you can do more.”
And she was gone, her bare feet padding down the hallway toward the kitchen. Wade flopped back on the bed with a frustrated groan. “She’s evil,” he complained, though the fondness in his voice belied any real annoyance.
“Completely,” I rolled over to press a kiss to his collarbone. “But you love it.”
“I do.” His arms came around me. “And so do you.”
I couldn’t argue with that. Instead, I kissed him, desperate for the taste of his mouth after being denied for so long.
And he moaned against my lips, threading his fingers through my hair and pulling me fully on top of him.
I ground my hard cock against his, tongue thrusting into his mouth in an exploration that had us both breathing harder by the time we broke apart.
Wade rested his forehead against mine, his blue eyes serious and searching as our erections pulsed between us.
“You okay with all this?” he asked softly.
“Not fucking you until tonight? I’m so hard it hurts.”
He laughed. “The snow, I mean. It’s complicated for you.”
I shrugged, pulling away. “It’s fine. Weather.”
Wade’s expression told me he wasn’t buying it, but he didn’t push. That was one of the things I was coming to appreciate about him: when to back off, when to give me space. “Okay,” he said. “But if you want to talk about it—”
“I don’t.” I swung my legs over the side of the bed, eager to escape this conversation. “Come on. If we don’t get out there soon, Lucky’s going to find out we just touched each other’s cocks.”
He grinned. “I complain about this punishment, but it has me so fucking horny. I can’t hate it.”
Neither could I, if I was being honest.
In the kitchen, I found Lucky dressed in thermal leggings and one of my old hoodies. She was humming as she poured coffee into mugs, so at home in my space that something in my chest ached at the sight.
“I’ll make eggs,” I said, moving past her to the refrigerator. “You two are going to need the energy if you want to play in the snow.”
“You’re not playing with us?” Lucky handed me a coffee mug.
“I’m making breakfast,” I said, dodging the question as I pulled eggs, peppers, and cheese from the fridge. “And someone has to clear the driveway.”
“We’ll help with that.” Wade entered the kitchen wearing sweatpants and nothing else. His broad chest was still faintly flushed from our activities in bed, his big cock still tenting his pants. I had to force myself to look away before I got distracted again.
The domesticity of the scene hit me as I cracked eggs into a bowl, the three of us moving around each other in the kitchen like we’d been doing it for years, though they hadn’t even been living here two months.
Wade grabbed plates from the cabinet while Lucky set out silverware, their bodies navigating around mine with a familiarity as I worked at the stove.
When had this happened? When had my empty house become so full of life?
“What’s the plan for the day?” Wade leaned against the counter beside me, close enough that our shoulders touched. “Besides clearing snow.”
Lucky hopped up to sit on the island, her legs swinging. “We need to get you on a snowboard,” she said. “The resort opens next weekend, and you need gear.”
“What, today?” Wade was surprised but not opposed to the idea. “I thought we were going to play in the snow.”
“First we clear the driveway…”
“And…?” Wade batted his eyelashes.
“Fine, maybe a brief snowball fight. Then we go shopping,” Lucky said. “The storm system is supposed to continue all week. We could have three feet by next weekend. There’s no time like the present to start learning.”
She said this with such glee that I couldn’t help but smile, despite the knot forming in my stomach at the thought of the resort opening. People would be arriving soon, industry folks, other riders. They would all have questions I didn’t want to answer.
“Eggs are ready,” I said, sliding omelets onto plates. We moved to the table together, settling into what had become our usual spots, Lucky at the head, Wade and I on either side. The snow-brightened morning light streamed through the great room windows, illuminating the domestic tableau we made.
“These are amazing,” Wade said around a mouthful of eggs. “How are you such a good cook?”
I shrugged, pleased by the compliment. “My grandmother taught me some of it. I learned the rest. Had to fuel my body right for…” I cleared my throat, trailing off before I could start talking about my old life.
Lucky’s eyes softened as she reached out and rubbed my arm. “Well, thank you. You’ve been holding out on us.”
“Pretty sure I’ve been giving you plenty,” I countered, enjoying the blush that spread across her cheeks.
Wade laughed, the sound warm and genuine. “This is nice.” He gestured with his fork at the three of us. “This whole... thing.”
