Fumi

Islept good as fuck last night. I had to block out the noise and turn off my phone because I kept thinking about Hood. It’s Sunday; I’m not staying home. I’m going to my momma’s house to chill with her and my grandma.

I still have a room there. I ain’t trying to have any meaningless conversations with niggas who don’t deserve it. I packed my bag to make sure I have everything I need. It’s a chill day for me: white T-shirt and gray sweats. I hopped in the shower to take care of my hygiene.

Istepped outside with my bag on my shoulder and froze. My pink Benz sat crooked in the parking lot, all four tires slumped against the pavement, glass glittering across the concrete like someone had emptied diamonds at my feet.

Spray paint bled across the driver’s door, loud and ugly as hell.

For a second, I couldn’t move. Then my hands started shaking.

Hood had been home less than a week, and already one of his messy-ass hoes had brought trouble to my doorstep.

I yanked my phone out and called him before I talked myself out of it.

“Good morning, you miss a nigga?”

“Nigga, wake yo motherfucking ass up… I know it was one of your hoes who fucked up my car. I don’t even fuck with you, so I don’t understand why these bitches are coming for me?”

“What happened?”

I FaceTime Hood so he can see the damage his hoe did to my car.

“You see what this bitch did to my car?”

“I’ll get it fixed…”

“I know, and you finna buy me something else.”

“Ok…”

“You tell that Moon Pie-faced bitch I’mma beat her ass when I catch her.”

“I don’t want you doing all that; I’mma handle it…”

“Is that all you have to say… I’mma touch that hoe; this shit ain’t about you. It’s about me and my shit.”

“I’m sorry, I’m on my way… I’mma bring you something to drive until I get your car fixed, and I’ll get you something else.”

“Drop it off at my momma’s house. I don’t want you coming by my house.”

“They still stay in the same place?”

“Yep.

I can literally cry right now. I worked so hard for this car. I bought this car without any nigga’s help. Just because she has an issue with him, don’t start fucking with me. I promise you I’mma beat Adrienne’s ass when I see her.

I gave her a pass when she came to the shop being messy, but fucking up my BENZ? I’mma take it there. I had to call Nuri. I don’t give a fuck if she’s with Cash or not; Adrienne is about to see me. I called Nuri; she answered on the first ring.

“What’s up?”

Shit, what’s not up? My whole day is ruined. I know it’s just a luxury car, but it’s mine.

“I need a ride?”

I know Nuri doesn’t mind picking me up, but I don’t like asking people to do shit for me, and I have my own shit.

“What’s wrong with your car?”

I tapped the FaceTime button to call Nuri, and she answered. I turned the camera toward my car.

“What the fuck?” Nuri yelled. “A bitch must want her ass beat.”

“Exactly.”

That’s the only way I’m coming. This shit has nothing to do with Hood, but it has everything to do with my personal property. She violated me. I know I was tired, but not that fucking tired. My alarm should’ve gone off.

“You think Adrienne did that?”

“I know she did it.”

It’s obvious; she pulled up to the salon looking messy. She showed up at my house to make a statement.

“What Hood say?” Nuri asked.

“He’s getting it fixed and buying me something else.”

I don’t even want Hood’s money, for real; I just wanna show this bitch… This nigga will do whatever I say, and I don’t even want him, hoe. That’s what got me hot.

“I’m on my way… I’m sorry this happened to you.”

“Thank you, Nuri. You know I wouldn’t bother you.”

“Bitch, you good… I’m not sure if you know. I tried calling you last night, but your phone was off.”

“Y’all went Viral?”

“Who went viral?”

“Bitch, you and Hood?”

“How?”

The last thing I need is for anyone to know Hood is up to his bullshit again; ain’t no telling who all saw that shit. I’m sure Adrienne did, and that’s why I’m even more pissed. How else would she know where to pull up?

“Girl, I don’t know which one of your neighbors recorded his ass on your porch, begging you to let his ass in.”

“Oh God…”

“I thought you weren’t answering because you finally let him in and y’all fucked and made up.”

“Bitch, please, that nigga wasn’t getting here. I sent him home. I’m not sure how he even knows where I live.”

“I started to call you after it happened, but I assumed you were with Cash, so I was like, fuck it. I’ll get up with Nuri tomorrow.”

“Bitch, I wasn’t with him last night… You should’ve called me; I wanted the tea.”

“I was blowing up yo damn phone…”

“Girl, he’s embarrassing.”

“Hood wants his woman back.”

“I’m cool…”

“Girl, that nigga is not finna let you be with nobody else… I told you how he was acting after you left VIP…”

“I don’t care; he has too much baggage…” I said, and Nuri and I finished our conversation as she pulled up.
