EPILOGUE

FELIX

My tail flicked side to side as I wandered through the remaining festival booths.

The grumpy sea creature omega was matched with her alphas. My work here was done. Of course, I would continue to monitor them. They clearly needed my guiding paw at all times.

I passed the rock where I’d stored my carving knife. You never knew when it would come in handy… when someone might need to be put in their place.

“Oh, sorry, Felix,” a frazzled voice cried out as I narrowly avoided being stepped on.

I let out an irritated noise and turned my piercing gaze onto the culprit—the shy teacher omega. She was carrying a large box of rocks that blocked most of her view.

She set the box down on the grass and scratched my ears.

“I’m really sorry. Are you okay? I didn’t see you there.”

I leaned into her touch. Mmm, that was nice. The teacher omega always gave me treats. She kept some in her desk drawer in her classroom in case I slipped in after hours for a visit. She smelled like gingerbread, like Christmas.

Hmm... Christmas was just around the corner. I fixed the omega with my piercing stare and a little purr rumbled in my chest as a plan fell into place.

My tail flicked back and forth as I set off again, towards home.

Yes, this would be a very good holiday season.

The end.
