Chapter Eleven
Milly
I am nearly sobbing as I walk down the sidewalk. I don’t know where I’m going. I have nowhere to go but back to Grayson’s or to Mom and Greg’s house. I told on him, though, so that’s a death sentence.
I come around a corner and damn near have a heart attack when I run into someone. I gasp and nearly fall back, but they catch me before I can hit the ground. “Whoa. You’re okay. I didn’t mean to scare you,” he says. He looks familiar.
“Adrian?” I ask. “Grayson called you, didn’t he?”
“No, Adam texted Alania,” he says, stepping to the side.
“Hey!” Alania says sweetly. “I hear Grayson is being a dick?”
“I should have known better than to think he’d want me,” I say. “Sorry you came out for this. I’m fine.”
“Mmm, no, you aren’t. But that’s okay,” Alania says.
“Who is Hope?” I ask.
“She’s just someone who dom hops,” she says. “Whoever pays her the most attention. She’s just a bit obsessed with Grayson.”
“Heads up,” Adrian says, nodding behind me. I turn, and Adam hugs me.
“Hey, Adam,” Alania says.
“Hey,” Adam says, holding my face between his hands. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” I say quietly. “I’m sorry I ran. That was childish.”
“No, you were upset,” Adam says.
“I would have punched Adrian in the throat,” Alania says.
“He’s going to be mad at me,” I say. “I shouldn’t have run away like that.”
“He can get the fuck over it,” Adam says.
“Hey, dick head,” Alania says.
“Milly,” Grayson says, gently touching my back. I pull back from Adam and glare at him.
“If this is how shit is going to be, I’m…”
“Please don’t say it,” Grayson says softly. “I know I deserve it. I know I fucked up.”
“If you ever let that bitch touch you again, I’m done. I don’t give a fuck about The Society or our marriage. I deserve better than that,” I snap at him.
“It won’t happen again,” Grayson says, taking my hands into his. “I don’t know how to get rid of her, but I will.”
“I think you should punish him,” Alania says, making Adrian laugh.
“Okay. How so?” Grayson asks her.
“Oh. Easy,” she says. “You have to sit and watch Adam fuck your wife.”
“If that’s what she thinks is fair,” Grayson says.
“This feels like a trap,” I laugh nervously.
“Not a trap,” Grayson says. “Can I take you home?”
“Fine,” I say with a frown.
“Unless you’d rather go back.”
“After running out like a lunatic? No,” I say. “You go right ahead, if there is someone you’d like to see.”
“Ouch,” Alania laughs. “Give ’em hell, Milly.”
When we start to walk back, I glance over at Adam. He looks like he is lost in thought. Would he rather someone else, too?
As soon as the truck stops, I get out and run inside. I go upstairs and pull my dress off when I get into the bathroom. I get the water turned on before taking my bra and panties off. As I step into the shower, the bathroom door opens.
“Don’t worry. I haven’t found the sharp objects yet,” I mutter.
Whoever it is doesn’t say anything as I stand under the scalding water with my eyes closed.
There is movement that tells me someone is in the shower with me, so I open my eyes to glare at Grayson.
Instead of speaking, I turn my back to him.
I expect anger for my running, or at least to be scolded, but he starts washing my hair.
I sigh and relax when he scrubs my scalp.
“That feel okay?” he asks softly.
“Not fair. I’m trying to be mad,” I mutter.
“I’m sorry, Milly. Admittedly, I didn’t understand at first why you ran instead of talking to me.
I was confused because I guess I didn’t want to see my own faults.
The truth is, I fucking suck at being a partner.
I suck at communicating. I am quick to get defensive but slow to see reality.
I’m overly confident when I should learn how to watch sometimes instead of lead.
I have a lot to learn about how to be a husband, but I want to learn,” he says.
I turn to face him, and he looks… broken.
“You tell me you want to take care of me…” I say.
“But you don’t know how to. You know how to keep me from killing myself.
You know how to help me through being triggered.
But you have not one fucking idea how to treat me like a person and not a patient.
Like this is some fucking fantasy about fucking your patient. ”
“Milly, it’s not like…”
“I’m done,” I say, interrupting him. “I’ll call Alania and tell her. I’ll be out by tomorrow afternoon.”
“Milly. Please…”
“Just go fuck Hope. That’s what you’re good at,” I yell at him. “You’ll leave me, and go fuck her. Now you can do that.”
I turn and rinse the conditioner out of my hair before quickly washing my body.
When I’m done, I step out of the shower and wrap myself in a large towel.
When I get a smaller towel wrapped around my head, the shower cuts off.
I walk out of the bathroom and go to my bags to find clothes.
Adam is watching me as I get dressed, but doesn’t say a word.
“Milly, can we please sit down and…”
“I’ve said my peace,” I interrupt. “Whatever this was supposed to be, it’s done. I’m done. I’ll go back to Mom and Greg’s, you go back to Hope. All is right in the world.”
“You are not going back to that fucking house,” Grayson snaps.
“You couldn’t even stop Hope from dry humping you in the goddamn club, and you think you can stop me?
!” I laugh. “Fuck you, Grayson. You don’t give a fuck about me.
You never fucking did. I was a goddamn charity case.
You saw a pitiful girl seeing people who didn’t fucking exist, and you just had to have me.
Just like every other fucking man in my life.
Congratulations, Grayson. You’re just like the others.
How did it feel, Gray? How does it feel knowing you got to use me just like Greg?
Just like every other fucking man he let fuck me. ”
“Milly,” Grayson says calmly.
“You wrote the goddamn test, Grayson. Are we even a match? Huh? Or did you just want to fuck me like the others!” I scream at him.
He steps closer, and I am suddenly terrified that he’s going to have me committed.
I am losing my goddamn mind over what? Over him being nice and not knocking the bitch out? He apologized.
I step back and turn to run, but Adam wraps his arms around me and sends me into a spiral. “Stop!” I scream. “Please don’t!”
“Shhh. Relax. It’s okay,” he says softly. Grayson helps him move me to the bed as I panic. As time passes, I become more and more hysterical. I am hardly aware of what’s going on.
I am suddenly snapped out of my hysterics with a gasp when I am pulled down on Grayson’s cock.
“Breathe, Milly. I’ve got you,” Grayson says as he wraps his arms around me.
We are sitting on the bed, and I am straddling him.
Adam roughly kneads my shoulders, and I groan as I melt into Grayson’s chest.
“That worked surprisingly well,” Adam says.
“It’s a distraction, and it pulls her out of her anxiety,” Grayson says as he sits me up and holds my face.
“I’m sorry,” I whisper.
“It’s okay, Baby Girl,” he says with a sweet smile. “Can we talk about some of what you said?”
“Yeah,” I sigh.
“Do you really think I am manipulating you?” he asks.
“No,” I say. “I just… I’m trying to convince myself that you don’t want me because then it will be easier when I lose you.”
“You aren’t going to lose me,” he says. “I know words don’t mean anything, but I’ll do whatever I need to prove it.”
“What else?” I ask.
“Who were the others you referred to Greg letting assault you?”
“Uh. I don’t know their names. I don’t even remember who they are. He just always said that I earned him a lot of money. I figured he was letting others assault Molly when I wasn’t around, but Molly is me, so maybe there is more I don’t remember.”
“I haven’t shown you the photos we looked up earlier,” he says. “That might be a good place to start.”
“Yeah,” I sigh.
“As much as I want to delve into that right now, I think we need to have a conversation about Adam,” he tells me.
“What about him?” I ask.
“I am starting to think he is attracted to you,” he says. “Which should piss me off, but then Alania suggested how to punish me.”
“Oh?” I ask.
“Mhmm. He lit up when she said that, and you didn’t object,” he says.
“I’m gonna be honest, I can’t exactly picture him as anything but submissive, so it’s hard to imagine him dominating me to punish you,” I say. Adam grunts behind me, and Grayson chuckles. “Is that funny?”
“Adam is good at hiding it, but he is probably more dominant than I am,” Grayson says. “I don’t think he is very keen on you insulting yourself.”
“Oh… like if I called myself fat?” I ask. “Greg used to always tell me that my fat was a turn-off.”
I yelp when Adam grabs me by the hair and yanks my head back. I giggle when he frowns at me.
“Don’t say that,” Adam says firmly.
“Say what? That I’m fat?” I ask innocently. “Fat and crazy. Terrible combination.”
I shriek when he drags me out of Grayson’s lap and tosses me on the bed. He kneels between my thighs and pulls my arms above my head. The second I am pinned, memories suddenly flood my mind. “Fuck. Fuck. Fuck,” I whimper and pull against his hold.
“Oh, look at that,” Adam says as he holds my arms with one hand and pulls his cock free with the other. He is massive and pierced. All I can think of is Greg on top of me, though. “She’s triggered.”
“You’re an ass,” Grayson laughs.
“Adam, wait. Fuck. Please wait,” I beg.
“Oh, sweet girl. You didn’t want a safeword, remember? You know what that means?” Adam asks with a mocking tone.
“What?” I whisper.
