Twelve months later
M y travel guide to Skye was released with fanfare just before Christmas in both e-book and paperback.
Here’s the foreword I wrote for it:
I never expected for my trip to Skye to turn out the way it did.
I was commissioned to write this travel guide to capture the spirit of this captivating Scottish island in springtime.
What I didn’t expect was to fall hopelessly in love not only with Skye, but also with one of its passionate, intelligent and gorgeous sons!
It was my pleasure and privilege to be catapulted into its environment, where its stunning landscapes, treasured nature and welcoming people are unrivalled.
I hope my A-Z guide is helpful, informative and goes some way to convey the magic I experienced while there on its shores.
I strongly urge you to visit the Isle of Skye and experience it for yourself.
The island changed me as a person – and for the better.
