Preface
Ethan and Kat have gotten through their terrifying adventures.
There are still problems to be solved…their shadowy enemy remains at large, and Ethan’s brother Shane is still in that enemy’s grip—but every last person they could have questioned about his whereabouts is now dead. It maddens them both.
At least they are together, but the trouble in Kat’s past still haunts her. She uses a false name and is still in hiding after testifying against Tony Petruzzi, the mafia don’s son who murdered her two sisters fourteen years ago, and who is still hungry for payback.
But the Petruzzi problem? Hell, that’s a problem that Ethan can actually do something about. One piece of garbage he can take out.
Kat is a warrior, a firebrand, and fiercely independent, not the kind of woman who needs rescuing by any means, but damn…they both could really use a win. It would be great, to just move on and plan their future together.
So it’s settled. He’s going after that bastard Petruzzi, and Kat can hear about it when it’s a done deal.
And God help him then.
