Chapter Sixteen

Aaron tried to relax, just have fun, and live in the moment.

After all, he’d dreamed about stuff like this! Being at an ABDL daycare with other Littles? Come on. What wasn’t to love for someone like him?

But he’d also dreamed of Amber going on a date—and doing…things—with another man for so long that it was hard not to focus solely on that.

He gave it the ol’ college try, though.

For the next hour, Millie introduced him to people, and he made a few new friends. It still felt strange being Little in front of others, but he was getting used to it.

One of the new friends, Beckett, was a guy about the same age who served as a police officer back in his hometown. Both being first responders, there was an instant connection.

“Hey, the ball pit is cool,” Beckett said after about thirty minutes of playing in it. “But have you been to the indoor trampoline park yet?”

This momentarily took Aaron’s attention away from obsessing over his lovely wife. “There’s even an indoor trampoline park here?”

“Yep,” Millie and Beckett answered in unison.

“We didn’t hit that up on our tour earlier,” Millie explained. “We missed a few other spots, too.”

“Dude, there is so much stuff here that it would take hours to see it all,” Beckett added. “The trampoline park has a foam pit with ropes and stuff where you can swing out into it. It’s awesome!”

That might be just the ticket to take his mind off everything, Aaron thought. “Can we go there?”

“Yeah,” Beckett said. “We can go anywhere.”

“We don’t have to get permission?”

It was Millie who answered. “No. We’re adults, after all, paying to be here. If your Big tells an employee not to let you leave, they’ll play along. But even then, they can’t hold you anywhere if you really press it.”

Beckett gave them a wry grin. “Take it from a cop. It would be super illegal to keep someone anywhere against their will.”

That all made sense to Aaron.

“Let’s do it!” he said.

The trio told Gina goodbye and then left the daycare, walking along the grounds toward the trampoline park.

A steady chorus of frog croaks arose from somewhere in the distance, along with the high, electric sound of cicadas vibrating through the warm but pleasant air. With the sun preparing to settle in for the night, the beautiful tree-surrounded space was bathed in soft pink and yellow hues.

And Amber was off somewhere on a date with another man.

Damn, Aaron thought. This is the perfect summer night.

They reached the building that housed the trampoline park and went inside, checking in with a worker who was sitting behind a counter. Once they were in the massive, high-ceilinged room that held all the fun stuff, they took off their shoes and stored them in the provided cubbies.

“It’s not very busy. Score!” Millie said.

Aaron looked around and only saw five other people—three in one group and two in the other. “Yeah, it’s almost like we have this whole place to ourselves.”

“Wait until you see the foam pit,” Beckett said.

He led the way, and a moment later, they were climbing onto a raised platform with a bouncy trampoline surface.

“Check it out,” Beckett said, sweeping a hand toward the rectangular pit full of foam blocks that was below them.

“You can either just jump in or use the rope.” He pushed a red button on the wall to his left and an overhead mechanical pully system hummed to life.

A moment later, it delivered a nylon rope to the platform’s edge. “Ladies first.”

He stepped aside and Millie moved to the edge.

Taking the soft rope in her hands, she cast a glance over her shoulder and said, “Here I go!”

Aaron watched as she swung out high over the foam pit, making several passes before she returned to the middle and released her grip.

“Woohoo!” She yelled before her entire body disappeared in the colorful foam blocks.

Her head broke the surface again a moment later. “Come on in! I’ll move to a corner so you don’t have to worry about landing on me.”

It was obviously difficult for her to wade through the foam, but she made it to her destination after about a minute.

“You can go next,” Beckett said.

“You sure?”

“Trust me, I’ve done this a bunch of times. This is my favorite spot in the whole resort! Though the water park is a close second, I guess.”

Aaron moved to the ledge, but he didn’t bother recalling the rope. Instead, he started bouncing on the squishy surface beneath him. “Let’s see if I can do it.”

“You’ve got this,” Beckett encouraged.

To Aaron’s surprise, his new friend was right.

He bounced high, soared through the air, and felt a thrill surge through his entire body as he free fell for just a brief couple of seconds before plunging into a sea of soft foam.

Laughing, he managed to get back to the surface and scramble toward Millie.

“This is hard!”

It was almost as if the foam was pulling on him, wanting to keep him back.

“Yeah,” Millie agreed. “But trying to move in this is half the fun!”

He finally made it to her, and they both watched as Beckett took a turn, using the rope.

When they were all together again, Beckett said, “Well, what do you think?”

“I think you were right! The ball pit at the daycare was great. But this place is amazing!”

“Wait until you see the trampoline basketball court over there.” Millie jerked her head to indicate the direction behind them. “It’s a lot of fun.” She studied Aaron for a moment. “But you’re still distracted, aren’t you?”

Nodding sheepishly, he said, “Sorry, guys. It isn’t anything personal. I love hanging out with y’all. Just can’t keep my mind focused.”

“What’s going on? Everything all right?” Beckett asked.

Aaron perked up. “Better than all right!”

Over the next couple of minutes, he and Millie both explained what their Mommy and Daddy were up to.

Beckett listened intently and then said, “Whoa! That’s amazing. If I ever have a Mommy, I hope she’ll give me that kind of experience!”

Aaron hadn’t even thought of the possibility that Beckett was single. He wanted to ask more but figured it might be a delicate subject based upon the longing he saw in his eyes.

So, he let it lie for now.

“I just wish I could sneak a quick peek at them. See what’s going on. You know?”

His friends nodded.

“Well, you can,” Millie said. “I know where Daddy took her. They’re at the nicest restaurant the resort has.” Her smile widened. “I think he really likes her. Trying to wine and dine her and all that.” A giggle followed.

Aaron’s face lit up, too. The thought of another man feeling that way about Amber drove him wild in all the best ways.

Part of him knew he should give the couple—or potential couple—privacy. But the other part of him—the bigger one—desperately wanted to see, even if it was only for a brief few seconds.

“Y’all think we could do this without getting caught?” he asked.

Millie and Beckett exchanged mischievous glances with one another and then looked at Aaron.

“We’re pretty darn sneaky,” Millie said.

Beckett nodded. “Yeah. And we’ve been known to bend the rules a little from time to time.”

Aaron grinned right along with them. “All right. Let’s do this!”
