Chapter 9- The Stalker Ex
I tried opening the door but it didn't open, I tried a few more times it still didn't bulge. Why was I even trying? It was locked from the inside.
" Get out of my house!!" I heard Anna yell from inside and I didn't have to think twice before I broke down her door.
The loud noise caught their attention and they both turned to me.
" When a woman tells you no, you're fucking supposed to leave her alone, but like the bastard you are, you sneak into her house and try to harass her," I said to him as I took threatening steps towards him and he looked at me with his chest raised like he stood a chance.
" What is it to you?" He asked me in a challenging tone like he expected me to be scared of him.
" You're harassing my staff and I think that should concern me."
" Do you stick your nose in all your staff business?"
" If they happen to be in danger and I'm there I would do anything to protect them."
" Is this it?" He said as he turned to Anna
" So You've been whoring around with him." My jaw ticked at hearing him call Anna a whore, he was walking on dangerous waters.
" Get out of my house Derick, or I swear I'll call the police,"
" So you both can have fun? I thought you were innocent, turns out you were just looking for the perfect opportunity to be a who..." I didn't let him complete his words as I landed a punch to his ugly face.
" I told you...punch...not to...punch...call her a whore." I landed him a final punch to the face.
" Mr Leonard it's okay, just get him out of my house, please," Anna said in disgust as she made a face.
I held the Derick guy by his collar and dragged him outside the door then I threw him out. I would have shut the door but I already ruined it.
I returned to where Anna stood looking very uncomfortable.
" We need to move to a new place, he knows everything about here and that pisses me off." she groaned as she sat down on the couch covering her face with her hands.
" We?"
" I live with my best friend" And just on cue, I heard a female voice.
" What the hell happened here?" I saw a girl come in with shock written on her face.
" Anna, are you okay?" She asked as she rushed to check on her friend.
" Derick," Anna said as her voice broke and then she hid her face in her friend's neck trying to hide her tears.
I didn't know why seeing her like that made my heart tug in pain, I was going to make sure that bastard never comes near her again even by an inch.
" How did things turn out like this? I loved him but he didn't want me. What could I have done? Now he wants me back but I don't think I want a psychopath like him in my life," She whispered, her hands going around her friend like she was afraid she would disappear, I wished I was the one she was holding onto like that.
I left them and went outside, I had to call someone to come fix this door, I didn't want that crazy ex anywhere around here.
Fifteen minutes later the door was fixed and I thanked the carpenter because of how impromptu this was. It was late and I'm sure he must have been sleeping when I called.
I turned to Anna who still looked quite sad lying on the couch. I walked to her and squatted so I could see her face.
" Hey," I said as she sat up, giving me a forced smile, something I hadn't seen on her face before.
" Thank you for being here, although you were a little dramatic with the door," she said and I couldn't help but laugh.
" It's late, you should get going," she said as she stood up while I did the same.
She walked me to the door and to my surprise she kissed me on the cheeks before bidding me good night and then shut the door.

It was a good thing Mr Leonard was still here. I don't know what crazy thing Derick would have done. I just couldn't help but feel disgusted with myself. I couldn't believe that at one point in my life, I had called him my boyfriend, I even felt hurt when he said he didn't want a relationship anymore.
How could I be such a fool? Tears rolled down my eyes in confusion, now he was stalking me.
" Anna," I heard my best friend calling so I quickly wiped my tears because I didn't want to worry her, but I guess I was late because she saw me. She just has this motherly instinct, she was like a lioness protecting her young cub.
" Anna, come on, you're letting Derick win again, he doesn't deserve you, you never asked for a breakup, he did, why do you have to suffer for it?" She said as she engulfed me in a much-needed hug.
" I'll be fine, it's just that what if I did this to him, Derick never behaved like this, he wasn't the best but now I don't even know him, what if I'm the reason he's behaving like this?"
" Don't you dare!! How can you think like that, you have nothing to do with how he's behaving so don't you put any blame on yourself. okay," she said and I nodded, wiping my tears as I chuckled at how Bella sounded so protective like she would hit me if I was the one hurting myself.
The next morning I woke up feeling refreshed as I got ready for the day.
I settled for a black pencil skirt and a blue button-up shirt and then I paired it with black heels.
I had my breakfast in a rush because I was running late as I got into my car and drove to the office. Who knows if my boss's mood will be sour today and he'll abandon me again.
I parked in front of the company and gave my key to the company valet. I got into the elevator and patiently waited for it to stop at the floor I was going to.
As I got to my office I dropped my bag and brought out my tab from my bag and some documents my boss needed to sign as I headed to his office, I could tell he was already here.
I knocked on his door but got no response, could it be that I was wrong and he wasn't in the office yet? So I pushed the door open but what I saw made me drop everything I was holding.
