Epilogue.

JUSTICE.

“ Tag, you're it," Andrew or should I say Sammy hit his father as he ran away and Cole chased after him trying to tap him.

I couldn't help but laugh at his little laugh, it was filled with so much joy.

Cole ran to me and I dodged taking the route my son took and he laughed, turning back to see if his father was close.

“ Got you,” Cole said as he caught Andrew.

" No, no,” Andrew laughed as he tried to get away from his father.

" Mummy to the rescue, tag, you're it,” I said as I touched Cole, making him our target as Andrew and I started running after him.

“ I'll get you daddy, mummy go that way,” Andrew said as we both blocked Cole and tackled him and he fell to the ground laughing.

" Okay you both win,” he said as we both fell to the ground on each side of him laughing.

" Sam baby,” Cole suddenly called as Andrew turned him smiling.

" Yes Daddy,” he said,

" How would you feel about Anna being your mom?” he asked,

" Cole,” I warned, I don't know if this was the right time. I was worried that Andrew would be scared, I didn't care what he saw me as, I just wanted to be close to him.

" I know she's my mom,” Andrew said as Cole and I immediately sat up as we looked at him in shock.

" I heard you talking about it," he said and I looked at him in shock. For a four year old he was just something else.

“ When?" Cole asked and he just shrugged,

“ My other mommy told me she doesn't like me, she said I was a bad boy," he said and that made me angry.

How could Mirabel say something like that to a child?

“ Listen to me Sam, you're not a bad boy okay?" I said and he nodded.

“ Yes daddy tells me I'm a good boy," he said with a happy smile and I couldn't help but release a breath as I hugged him.

“ We have to take it easy with him, please," I said to Cole and he nodded and he placed his hand on Andrew's head.

I wanted him to be comfortable with the idea of knowing I'm his real mother and then he'll be comfortable to call me mom.

I can't wait for that day.

“ The court therefore finds Mirabel Oscar guilty as charged for the abduction of Andrew Jason Fredrick, for the attempted murder of Anna Rose Fredrick and for fraud against Cole Leonard, you're thereby sentenced to seventeen years in prison.” The judge said as Anna held my hand.

Mirabel's family wanted to use their influence and let their daughter get away with her crimes but I wasn't going to have it. I had more than enough support.

Even Anna's fans were crazy about it and took it up as a campaign for justice and now we've won, she'll be paying for her crimes. As for that bastard Derick, he was taken back to the mental asylum where he belongs and when he recovered, he had a five year jail term waiting for him.

With the judge's final decision, I didn't see a need to be here. The Oscars were crying but I didn't care as I took Anna's hand and we both walked out of the courtroom.

“ We won," Anna said as she hugged me and I wrapped my hands around her.

“ Yes my love,” I said.

" Cole,” I suddenly heard my Dad's voice and I stiffened.

" I'll wait in the car,” Anna said before walking away and I turned to my Dad.

" Cole I know…I know there's no amount of apologizing that can mend the pain I caused you but I hope one day you find it in your heart to forgive me,” he said as he looked down in pain. It was unusual for my Dad to look down.

" I forgive you,” I said as I walked to him and hugged him and I knew he was shocked but what could I do? He's my father after all, I can't hate him forever. He's been a good grandpa to Sam. My son needs him.

" I'm sorry son, I should have listened to you," he said,

" It's in the past, let's look at the future. But first you need to forgive yourself,” I said and he nodded with a smile before I pulled away.

“ We're having dinner tonight with Anna's family to celebrate, you'll come right?" I asked him.

“ Yes, I'll be there," he whispered.

“ See you then," I said as I hugged him one more time before walking away.

I think of the future and I know it's going to be bright.

Very bright.
