Chapter 9
meet me at lilith’s, it’s going down.
Rodney
saturday night
I order a Divin whiskey and grab a seat at a booth, keeping a watchful eye for the door. I worry that I may have asked for her to meet me too soon, but if she needs more time, I understand.
I meant what I said. I do like Emerald, even more now that she exists beyond my wildest thoughts.
I’ve waited a year to be able to speak to her, but the ball is still in her court.
That is, whenever she’s ready to live out some of these fantasies with me.
This arrangement starts and ends whenever she says so, and I’ll respect that.
I glance at the clock behind the bar and worry that she may not join me. There’s nothing else I’d like to get into around here; I’ll wait a bit longer before taking my ass home, just in case she’s running late.
A few moments later, I notice a figure enter the room and I glance up, sighing in relief at the sight. Her black dress shows off every generous curve and I smile to myself, knowing she dressed up just for me.
It’s not emerald, but I don’t care. Even if I don’t get to take it off, I still get to see her. When her eyes meet mine, she smiles brightly, offering a wave that reveals an orange bracelet.
Fuck yes.
Orange if you’re interested in sex with one partner.
I breathe through my excitement, closing the distance between us, hoping I don’t come off too eager.
“Hi,” she says sweetly. “Sorry I’m late. I knew you wouldn’t see my text because your phone is up front.”
“Don’t be. You got here safely and that’s all that matters. And you look fucking incredible,” I say, looking her up and down. “Would you like a drink?”
“A cosmo would be great. Thanks.”
“Sure. Take a seat. I’ll get that for you.”
I wave my hand toward the booth and she scoots in, folding her manicured hands in her lap. I order her drink at the bar, eyeing her across the room as she studies the space, her usual shyness taking a backseat.
Her smile radiates as I approach the booth, placing her drink in front of her before joining her at the table.
As much as I’d love for us to be alone, it’s important that we discuss her expectations and limits for the evening.
I’m happy to meet her where she’s at and don’t mind if that doesn’t extend past conversation. I’m just grateful she’s here with me.
“Thank you for coming. I want you to know that I’m on your time tonight and am open to whatever. We don’t have to do anything you aren’t comfortable with, and I don’t want you to feel pressured in any way.”
“Okay,” she says, taking a sip. “I appreciate you saying that. I haven’t changed my mind about anything on the form, and I’m not ready for an audience, but I would like to get a room and see where that takes us. If that’s okay with you?”
“Of course. I’d like that.”
“While my bracelet doesn’t match my eyes, I hope this will suffice,” she adds with a smile.
“I don’t mind at all. You are in this club allowing me to speak to you, and I wasn’t sure that would ever happen,” I admit. “I have to ask, what would you like to be called here?”
“Em or Emmy is fine. And Daddy for you?” she asks, tugging her full bottom lip between her teeth.
“That’s fine by me.” I nod, wrinkling my brow as I assess her. “I see you aren’t wearing emerald? I thought you wanted to be good for me.”
“I’ll let you keep thinking that,” she quips with a devious smirk, tipping the glass to indulge in her cocktail. “The look on your face will be worth it.”
My mind races with all the possibilities and I can’t wait to see how that tone compliments her rich brown skin.
“Did you edge for me?” I ask, lowering my voice as I lean in close.
She peers over with a smirk, closing the distance between us, inching herself closer. “Guess you’ll have to find out, OG.”
I’ll show her an OG.
Emerald baits me, brushing her lips against mine before my mouth closes over hers, admittedly taking the bait.
Our tongues entwine as she succumbs to me.
Her moans paint a vivid picture of her need, reminding me we’re not alone and very well should be.
There are strict rules against sex in common areas like this one.
I will get banned from this club if I don’t get her alone. Now.
The rule-follower I am breaks the kiss reluctantly, nipping at her lip as we part.
“You ready to get out of here?”
“Yes, Daddy,” she teases, tugging at the last of my restraint.
”Bet,” I say, exiting the booth, taking her hand as she follows behind.
“After you, OG.”
Once again, she has me right where she wants me and knows it.
