Chapter 26
Several Weeks Later
Icouldn’t believe I agreed to come on this trip, but here we were. Lyric thought she was going to continue to play in my face, but she had me fucked up.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Lyric whispered with her arms folded in front of her chest. Her breasts were noticeably bigger, and I was wondering when she was finally going to stop living in denial.
“Like what?”
“Like you don’t know whether you want to fuck me or knock me between the washer and dryer.”
I smirked, knowing she wasn’t too far off in her assessment. “If you didn’t test me so much, we wouldn’t have this problem.”
“I know, and I’m trying to do better this time around. I’ve put you through enough bullshit in the past, and I really want us to work.”
Her declaration made me feel good because I wanted the same thing. We had gone through a lot, and I was tired of the back and forth. I was ready to settle down and continue to build our future together.
“I hear you talking, but I need to see some action. Clearly, we’ve fallen back into that same old routine of sneaking around, and you already know how I feel about it.
I love you, Lyric, I really do, but I can’t keep repeating myself when it comes to this situation.
You’ve got me sneaking in hotel rooms and fucking in cars at my big-ass age.
The fact that I’ve even allowed you to get away with this shit is proof of how much I really love yo’ ass, but that’s not enough.
“There are too many bitches I can fuck out in the open, so if you aren’t willing to finally have that conversation with your brother, there is no point in us even trying this shit again,” I acknowledged.
“I hear you, and you’re not wrong. I should have been told Keynauri, but I was too busy trying to maintain the perfect image in his eyes.
I didn’t want him to be disappointed. I never considered your feelings in any of this and expected you to wait around for me to grow some balls.
I’m really sorry.” Lyric threw her arms around my neck, and I naturally held onto her waist.
“I’m not used to you admitting when you’re wrong. A nigga could get used to this.”
“Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I’m trying to turn over a new leaf, but I’m still spoiled and stubborn.”
“At least you can acknowledge that shit.” Leaning down, I pecked her lips, relishing the feeling of having her close to me.
The time we spent apart was necessary, and it helped us both grow, but it also showed me that I never wanted to be without her.
Even though I told her I was willing to walk away, I knew deep down it was going to be easier said than done.
Lyric was my heart. She was the person I wanted to share my life with, and I couldn’t see myself with anyone else.
We had grown together, through the good and the bad.
No other woman would ever understand me the way she did, nor would they love me in the same capacity.
I was a flawed-ass mothafucka, but in her eyes, I was perfect.
She accepted me for who I was and never tried to change me unless it was for my best interest. Lyric taught me how to love and accept love from a woman.
While it wasn’t something I openly talked about, being abandoned by my momma fucked me up mentally and emotionally.
I went through life expecting the worst from women, so I never trusted them with anything outside of catching my nut.
Lyric managed to tap into a part of me no one else even knew existed, not even me.
For that reason and many others, I wasn’t willing to let her go.
She was gonna have to get her shit together. There was no other option.
“I hope you know I’m fuckin’ you on this trip, and I don’t want to hear shit about Keyz hearing us. He could walk in while I’m balls deep, and I promise I’m not pulling out.”
Our schedules had been so busy, and we were spending time with each other when we could.
Keynauri’s schedule had been insane, and since the two of us were unofficially working for him in our free time, it made things more hectic in our everyday lives.
Add that with us both having our own businesses and outside obligations, we were stealing moments where we could.
“You won’t get any complaints from me. I’m horny, and I need to sit on it.”
Her admission made my dick hard, and I was tempted to get a quickie in before we got the day started.
We had just touched down at the villa Keynauri rented for the family, and the shit was even nicer than I thought it would be.
Of course, Lyric and I were in separate rooms, but I had no plans of us sleeping separately.
“Yeah, I bet you are. You’ve been horny a lot more than usual, and that pussy has been extra juicy. You have any idea why that is?” I questioned.
Her face answered my question before she spoke. “Umm, I—”
“Lyric, don’t play with me.”
“I was gonna tell you, but we’ve both been so busy, and I haven’t even gotten to confirm. My period hasn’t made an appearance in a while, and I’ve been eating everything I can get my hands on. My boobs are sore as hell, and I can smell a musty nigga from a mile away, so yeah.”
“I’ma tell you right now, if you run off to the clinic this time and kill my seed, you’ll be joining them. Bitches love single fathers, so I’ll be able to find Noodle a step momma in no time.”
She laughed, but I meant every word. I was still hurt by her actions, even though I understood where her head was at. She got a pass once, but the shit would never happen again.
“You don’t have to worry. I would never put myself through that again.”
“I’m glad you know. I love you, and I would hate to have to live life without you.”
“The fact that you are casually threatening to take my life is crazy, but the fact that I’m turned on by it means I’m just as fucked up as you.” She snickered, standing on her tiptoes for a kiss.
“What can I say? We’re meant to be.” I shrugged, meeting her halfway for a kiss. Her lips were soft and juicy, and I couldn’t get enough. When we pulled away, Lyric looked at me with a pensive expression.
“What are you thinking so hard about?”
“You just found out that I might be pregnant, and you never asked whether it was yours or not.”
“Should I be concerned?” I observed her, taking notice of her demeanor.
“Not at all. Based on my period calculator, I got pregnant the night of the grocery store incident. I don’t know. I guess I was expecting more of a reaction.”
“I mean, if we’re being honest, it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. We’re so deep in this shit that any child you carry belongs to me regardless. I would probably have to kill that nigga, though.”
“I thought you were calming down now that you’re elevating and expanding your legal and illegal businesses?” she inquired.
Gunna had taken me under his wing and began preparing me for the big leagues.
His connect, Luciano, had taken a liking to me and my business practices and wanted to offer me a seat at the table.
While I never thought I would be making moves like this at my age, I wanted to prove I could handle anything thrown my way.
“I am, but I’m still a hoodlum at the end of the day.
Hell, you’re lucky I didn’t slit that nigga’s throat for the simple fact that he knows what my pussy feels like.
That’s a capital offense in my book; punishable by death.
” I frowned, just thinking about how Mendeecees was still trying to get in touch with my woman.
He created a fake IG page and had been blowing her up, begging her to hear him out.
Lyric thought I didn’t know about it, but I saw everything.
Luckily for her, she ignored him and eventually blocked him.
I was waiting for her to respond so I could get in her ass, but she did exactly what she should have and left that nigga where he was at.
I thought about sending the video we made at the mansion, but when I watched that shit back, it was too good to share with anyone else.
Little mama was taking this dick like a pro, and I didn’t want to risk it getting into the wrong hands.
“Your daughter is taking a nap, and I’m tempted to follow her lead. I’m not sure how this vacation is going to go, but I don’t see myself having much fun,” Lyric whined, rolling her eyes.
“This vacation will be what you make it. Look, you know I don’t get into all that catty drama, but you need to squash whatever bullshit you have going on with Ari.”
Lyric glared at me as if I had called her out of her name.
“You can look at me crazy all you want, but it’s time to let it go.
Naiari is the mother of your niece and nephew.
She isn’t going anywhere, and based on the stars in your brother’s eyes, he has no plans of letting her go again.
I understand you feel some type of way about her keeping the kids a secret, but you’ve got to get over it. ”
“Are you kidding me?” Lyric scoffed. “I’m sorry if I’m not easily fooled like my brother.
Regardless of Keynauri saying it was his fault, she purposely kept those kids away from me.
We used to be close, and then the minute Nauri got locked up, she bailed on all of us.
Maybe I’m not blinded by pussy, so I don’t see things the way he does. ”
When Keyz went to prison, it shook the foundation of our crew.
Lyric was younger than the rest of us and, unfortunately, suffered the worst due to his absence.
While I understood why she felt like she had the right to be angry, I wanted her to understand that with growth came forgiveness.
At the end of the day, we were young, and they both made mistakes.
Keynauri finally explained what happened between him and Naiari when the two of them ran into each other the night of his performance.
