Maria,

So I hope you are doing well. My life has been pretty hectic but I’m rolling with it. Your last email…well…it made me so happy. I am trying very hard to be the type of role model that Mikey needs and deserves. I hope that I can achieve that.

Just the other day, I was thinking about us. The odd situation we find ourselves in. Can you believe we started dating 17 years ago? You wrote The Chad letter 11 years ago. Or that we are in our 30s. I used to dream about what our lives would be like in our 30s. And I promise you, it wasn’t corresponding via email.

Do you think about what could have been? Or is it just me?
