Chapter 2 #2
“What? Why? Nothing happened.” He narrowed his eyes at me.
“Um. Okay. Does that mean you did or didn’t talk to him?”
“Yeah, I talked to him. I told him that he should ride Amber.”
My behavior wasn’t suspicious at all. I needed to stop thinking about how good his brother was at sucking dick and how much I wanted to do it again.
Drachen, the green dragon that Arthur had as an emotional support animal, cocked his head at me like he knew what I was thinking.
I glared at the animal, willing him to keep it to himself. I was spiraling.
There was no particular reason I hadn’t told Arthur that his brother and I were fooling around.
We were both adults, but for some reason, it felt like I was doing something dirty.
And obviously, Arthur, and more importantly, my boss—Arthur’s husband—scared me a little when it came to this particular situation.
I gave him a weak smile. “He said he was nervous about the lessons.”
Desperate to avoid any conversation about his brother, I stowed my bag and went to talk to the concert manager to see if there was anything she needed. When I returned to my seat, Mont looked at me, clearly curious about how I was acting.
Arthur leaned over, “You sure you are okay?”
“I am great. Had a great evening. This trip should be great.”
“That’s great,” Mont said to me sarcastically.
“I really am fine, a little distracted, but everything is good.”
I smiled at him, made an effort to clear my head, and began to cover the things that were important for this tour stop.
Mont and Arthur almost always went on these trips together.
As one of the most popular bands in the industry, they did only eighteen concerts a year, carefully scheduled so the husbands wouldn’t be separated.
We also had several other things planned while on this trip, including interviews, meetings with the label, and four vacation days at a resort.
I wish Joe could share those four days with us. The trouble we could get into during the downtime.
“Hey. Have you guys ever considered having a photographer with you on these trips?” I asked when the conversation lapsed.
“For concerts, we usually hire someone locally.” Mont looked at me, considering what I had said. “Do you think your brother would do it for us? Behind the scenes, family moments would be cool. I prefer to keep those private.” He turned toward his husband.
“I am sure he would,” Arthur responded. “It’s a pretty good idea. We could get some concert pictures and candids at venues.”
Something inside of me bloomed knowing that Joe might travel with us. It would be nice to have him to play with when we are on the road.
“What has you grinning, Dusty?” Startled, I looked up at them.
“Nothing. Not a thing.” I opened my laptop and focused on avoiding eye contact. I had a great time last night, and I realized how much I enjoyed being around him even when we weren’t naked. I picked up my phone.
DUSTY
How do you feel about traveling with DRACO?
They only travel like eighteen times a year and only for three days at a time, unless they plan a vacation trip, which would include you. They want a trusted photographer for behind-the-scenes photos and concert shots.
Before I could give it too much thought.
DUSTY
We could share a room. It would be fun.
My message sounded like I wanted more with him, which I did, but I didn’t want him to think I was trying to start a relationship. Maybe I should clarify, but I didn’t want to run him off. A message interrupted my thoughts.
JOE
Man, that would be amazing. I can already think of a bunch of shots during concerts and backstage I’d love to take.
I don’t know if I can make it to all the concerts, because I’m getting busier every day.
The things about sharing a room and having fun with each other weren’t even addressed.
After yesterday, I couldn’t get Joe out of my head for some reason.
And after I sent the last message, I realized how much I was fixating on him and how much I wanted to spend time with him as soon as possible.
The bigger surprise to me was that it wasn’t only for sex. I needed to get out of that headspace.
DUSTY
You can come to half of the events. That would be perfect. Can I tell him it’s a go? We travel again in a few weeks.
JOE
Yeah. I’m excited. My brother will be there too, which is awesome.
DUSTY
That’s great. I’ll send you a contract with an offer.
JOE
Sounds good.
By the way, I would like to share a room with you.
Separate beds, though. I don’t think we should sleep, sleep together.
I had to agree, but his declaration made me feel weird because I liked the idea of being with Joe, then cuddling him all night. I shook my head. Shit. That is the exact opposite of what I want—what he wants. I must be tired.
DUSTY
Sounds really good.
Setting my phone aside, I put Joe’s contract together. I felt like I should have said more to Joe about sharing a bed, but it was probably best this way. I needed to get Joe and how good he looked with my cock in his mouth out of my head.
“Joe said he can make half the events. He already has some ideas for shots he wants to take.” I told Mont.
“That’s great. Set up a contract to pay thirty percent over what other photographers would get.” He kissed the side of Arthur’s head. “Having your brother here will be fun.”
Arthur smiled at his husband. “I’m going to love it.”
I sent Joe an email with a contract right as the wheels touched down. The idea of Joe traveling with us simultaneously excited and terrified me.
