MONROE
Six months later
Dear Diary,
I want to marry him. I know we haven’t been together long, but I don’t want to wait.
I want to live. Finally. I’ve always wanted something special, like what my parents and my grandparents have, and now that I’ve found it, I want to celebrate it.
How lame would it be if I proposed? Would he hate that?
Why is being a woman so hard? Why does society say that we have to wait for the man to decide when we can be engaged or when we can get married?
Isn’t that outdated? Damnit, I want to ask this man to marry me, so I’m going to do it. Enough waiting.
Time to live, right?
