THIRTY FIVE
I carried Olivia up to my bedroom and softly laid her down on my bed, planting a small on her forehead.
She had fallen asleep on the car ride back to our pack house I knew she was exhausted and probably sore, I just didn't want to wake her.
She looks so beautiful when she is sleeping, not that she isn't beautiful already.
I exit my room and softly close the door as I head to the other side to go to my office to work on some papers since I have been gone. I close my office door and sigh as I walk over to my desk, taking a seat in my chair.
I start working the left over papers I didn't finish before we left. Just was I was about to get started there was knock on the office door.
I let out a sigh of annoyance, "Come in!" my voice stern.
I looked up from my papers and see my father walking in smiling at me.
"Son," he acknowledged me, taking a seat in the chair across from my desk.
"Dad, what brings you back?" I smile.
"Nothing really, son. I wanted to check in on you, I know you just made it back from Alpha Dawson's."
"Yes, I did. I am glad you dropped by," I told him.
"Alpha Dawson and I spoke over the phone. I heard somethings..." he trailed off, "He told me you went balistic when no one could find Olivia for several hours."
I let out yet again another sigh, "I am just looking after her like you and her father asked."
"Now, son, you don't need to lie to me. I may not be getting any younger but I know a little about protecting something that you love or even care for," he smiled, " Alpha Dawson informed me that he was afraid you were going to kill everyone if no one found her.
Just don't hurt her, she is a sweet girl, she has been through enough in her lifetime. "
She knows everything about my past and I still no nothing about her's. I still wondered about what she could have happened to her that was so bad that she just disappeared from the past. I deeply care for her, so much that I would kill whoever hurt, making her shut down.
"What happened to her?" I asked feeling anger rise in me.
"Son, I don't think that is my-" I raised my hand silencing him, shaking my head.
"I demand to know. NOW!" The anger coming out of me.
"You really care for her, don't you?" He sighed and gave me a small smile.
"Yes," I said with no hesitation.
"Olivia, was a great kid, loved coming over to the pack house, always smiling, very cheerful.
.." He trailed of with a sad look on his face, I nodded for him to continue, "I very much care for, Olivia, your mother and I would always watch over her when her parents are out recruiting.
I had an emergency the day everything happened, we left Olivia outside, she wanted to continue playing.
Her parents where with us that day. She was thirteen or fourteen at the time everything that happened. .."
He looked sad like he was gonna cry. It must be something really bad and that thought made my heart clench in paind and anger boiling to the surfice. He keeps trailing off, hesitation clear in his voice.
"What happened, dad?" I pressed, needing to know.
He sighs, "I was in the office discussing the important matter, her parents were with me in the meeting.
A scream came from outside so loud we ran fast to see what happened.
When we got outside, the smell of blood hit our noses and Olivia was no where in sight.
Rouges had taken Olivia, masking their scents.
Olivia was presummed dead for almost two years.
The rouges wanted to punish her for her parents killing Kade's brother.
The man named Kade was the one who planned to take her. We never found him."
I felt my heart drop and it was like time stopped. I could feel myself turning pale. Then the anger rose up.
"WHAT DID THEY DO TO HER?" I yelled, slamming my fist into the desk, standing up, my voice booming off the office walls.
"Don't talk to me in that tone!," He said sternly.
I let out an angry sigh, "Just tell me what they did to her," I demanded, "Did they touch her?," I asked through gritted teeth.
"Son... Calm down," His eyes softening, "They didn't touch her like that, no.
Thank god. They abused her severly. That is all I am saying about that, you need to ask her.
Eventually we caught onto their scent. Not a day went by we didn't try to look for her even though everyone thought she was dead.
She just wasn't the same after everything"
"I WILL KILL THEM" I roared as I slammed my fist into the wall making a large hole.
I felt a hand rest on my shoulder, my dad. I tried to calm down but I was finding it impossible. I wanted to go to Olivia. I shrugged my dad's hand off my shoulder and stormed out of my office, heading straight to my room where I left, Olivia, sleeping. She could calm me down just by being around.
My door was cracked open and I didn't like that because I knew I had closed it when I left earlier.
I push open the door and she is no where in sight.
My anger was rushing through me in waves.
I hear laughter coming from downstairs. I ran out my room and straight down the stairs.
I run to the living room where I heard laughter and the TV talking.
I instantly felt relieved when I saw her sitting on the couch with Ari. Her head snapped back looking at me with a confused expression.
"Hey, Tyson, I was wonder-" Ari started.
"Not now, Ari!," I snapped at her and she instantly shut up.
I walked over to Olivia, her eyes were wide as she was shocked at why I just snapped at Ari. I just want to hold her. I just wanna smell her wonderful scent and feel her touch.
"W-wha-" Olivia started but was imediately cut off when I pulled her up from the couch bringing her into my arms as I held her tightly against me, calming me down instanly.
"Son, you are gonna cut her circulation off if you keep holding her that tight," I hear my dad say as he chuckled.
I let her go and she looks up at me with her beautiful eyes. I push a fallen piece of her behind her ear as I gave her a smile. A blush came to her cheeks as she broke our eye contact.
"John," she smiles, acknowledging my dad.
"How are you, Olivia?" He smiles back.
"I am good!," she beams at him before looking back to me, "If you will excuse us, I need to talk to, Tyson."
She laced her fingers in mine and I lead us up to my office. She walks in and gasps as I close the door and lock it. She turned to look at me and I frowned, knowing she saw the huge hole in the wall.
"Tyson, what's wrong? Why did you come grab me like that? Why is there a huge hole in your office wall?" she asked, concern flashing in her eyes.
"I just haven't had a good day and I needed you," I told her semi honestly, not wanting to full on lie to her.
She walks up to me, placing her hand on my cheek, her eyes softening. I felt relieved in this moment as I just looked at her, feeling her soft small hand on my cheek.
