FIFTY FOUR

"He is in love with her, sir," the man said in a bitter tone, "If you really want to hurt him again, we need to get to her."

"Excellent," I laughed darkly, "I am sure you will be able to do that with no problem. Won't you?"

He nodded his head, "It will be easy, no questions asked. She trusts me."

"Good, good. Go handle it," I said waving him off, "Oh, and good job, Austin."

"You so need these for the baby!," Ari beamed.

I laughed as she help up a bunch of baby onesies that were for a boy, "Ari, I don't even know if the baby is a boy."

Right now Ari and I were out in town getting things ready for the baby but honestly my mind hasn't been here all day as we shopped.

My mind was mostly on Tyson. It has been four days since we have talked and I was avoiding him like the black plague.

I was so over his 'man period' that it wasn't even funny anymore.

It really made my blood boil and I couldn't help but think he was playing with my feelings.

I could use a run but I feel to exhausted to do so sometimes.

"Hello, earth to Olivia," Ari waved her hand in front of my fast trying to get my attention and I snapped out of my thoughts real quick.

"Huh? Sorry," I raised an eyebrow in confusion.

She chuckled, rolling her eyes, "Nevermind. Let's go back home."

I nodded and we went to check out with what little baby stuff I had picked out today, my stomach has grew a little in size over the past four days.

It was weird seeing myself with a noticable baby bump.

We headed outside after I was finished paying and got in her car to make our way back home.

Ari turned up the radio as music played and I took that as my cue to just zone out.

I knew I needed to talk to Tyson and it angered me that we had to keep going through this, frankly it was annoying.

After a few minutes we pulled back up to the pack house and I let out a groan causing Ari to laugh. I step out of the car closing the door lightly behind me.

"We can get the bags later," Ari smiled, "I am gonna go hunt my mate down, I know he is around here somewhere."

I gave her a slight smile as she waved at me before walking off.

I looked at the pack house, standing in place beside Ari's car, dreading to have to talk to Tyson.

Deep down I knew I had to this. I walked up to the pack house door and opened it before stepping, closing the door behind me.

I see Austin walking down the grand stairs and he gives me wide smile that I quickly return.

His smile seems to falter a little as he looks down my body but he quickly musters it up.

"Hey, Olivia. I haven't seen you in a while," He chuckles a little but for some reason it wasn't the same laugh I once heard, It felt off.

Weird.

I smile and push the weird feeling away, "Yeah, I have just had a lot on my plate lately," I say softly, "Is Tyson in his office by any chance?"

I see something flash through his eyes but I couldn't quite tell what it was because it was gone in a blink of an eye.

"Yeah. Anyways, I'll see you soon," He says in almost a bitter tone but gives me a small smile as he quickly walks away.

I brush it off and try not to ponder on it too long seeing as I had other things I needed to deal with first. I walk up the stairs and take a left to his office and open the door not bothering to knock.

Tyson's head snaps up and his eyes soften, filling with concern as I keep my eyes trained on his while shutting the door behind me.

He stands up as I walk closer to him, stopping in front of his desk as he stood on the other side.

"What's wrong? Are you okay? The baby?" His voice filled with worry.

That only angered me more. Is he serious right now? He is more hormonal then I am. Is he always on his time of the month? 'Man period'.

I glared at him, "Are you serious right now?"

He returned my glare, "What is your problem, Olivia? Did you come in here just to start a fight?"

I'm gonna strangle this man.

I scowl at him, "My problem? That's funny, I almost died of laughter, Tyson," I snap, "You know what yeah, I do have a problem. What was that cold shoulder shit you pulled the other day?"

He growls, "Watch your tone with me!," He snaps back louder.

"No, I don't think I will!," I snap matching his tone, "Tell me what the hell that was!"

"Goddamit! I don't have to tell you nothing!," He yells.

"No, you do or I am leaving!," I yell back.

He went silent, he opened his mouth to say something nut nothing came out. I rolled my eyes and turned to leave but my hand was quickly caught by Tyson's own. I turned to look at him and his eyes were filled with sadness and it made my heart break looking at him.

"Olivia, why do you have to be so difficult?

," He sighs softly, I go to say something but he raises his hand letting me know not to speak so I don't, hopeful he will tell my why, "I ran out because.

..I wanted to fucking mark you! The only other person who wore my mark was my mate, Olivia!

I ran, I ran! You don't get this do you?

! She wore my mark and I couldn't even save her, my own mate!

I already fell in love with you and that is dangerous enough!

I could put you in danger if you become my mate, if you bare my mark on you!

You might leave me too!," He snapped, his voice cracking.

My heart sank and I felt absoultly guilty. Well shit. My stomach filled with butterflies at the thought of baring his mark and that made me feel even more guilty for feeling those feelings right now in this moment.

"Tyson..." My eyes soften as I speak his name softly.

I walked closer to him resting the palm of my hand on his cheek letting my thumb rub small circles. His body reacted to my touch, his statue became softer. He raised his hand placing it on top of my hand that rested on his cheek as he leaned into my touch.

"Olivia...I can't lose you too," He whispered.

My heart broke for him, "Tyson, I am here."

He dropped the hand that was holding my hand that he grabbed a minute ago, stopping me from storming out.

His eyes flickered down to my showing small bump, he raised his hand that he just dropped and placed it softly on my stomach stepping in closer to me.

His hand stayed rested on my bump but his eyes flickered back up to mine.

"I really do love you. I don't want to put you or our child in danger. Being an Alpha's mate is dangerous, Olivia," He said softly.

I let out a small sigh, "Tyson, you couldn't help for what happened to her. You can't help the past," I gave him a faint smile, "I do know right now that I love you and I know you will keep us protected."

He leaned in planting a small faint kiss on my lips before resting his forehead soflty against mine.

"Be mine, be my second chance mate. Be my mate," he said ever so softly making my heart flutter.

"Yes," I smiled with no hesitation.
