Chapter 19
Riah
I peeled my groggy eyes open just as Korie and I were rolling to a stop. I sat up slowly and looked around me. The car was surrounded by tall, lush trees for as far as I could see. Out the front window, a small wooden cabin stuck out from between the trees, almost camouflaged in the heavy woods.
“We’re here,” Korie said softly, running a hand over my thigh.
My head was so heavy I could barely bring myself to speak.
“Where?” I croaked.
“Safehouse. I can’t tell you exactly where, though. You know, safety reasons.” She shrugged.
All I could do was nod. My mouth was sticky and dry. I reached for the water bottle, but Korie stopped me with a firm grasp on my wrist.
“Let’s get you some fresh, cold water and food inside.”
I nodded, too tired to protest. Korie helped me out of the car and I realized how bright it was outside. We had left my house around 10 pm, so we must have driven throughout the night.
Had I really slept the whole time?
She helped me inside and left me on the couch, brought me cold water and then carried my things inside. We went on a tour of the small, two-bedroom cabin, stopping at the room meant for me.
“If you want to get more rest, you can.”
“No, that’s okay. I actually would love to take a shower, I feel gross.”
“I’ll get you some towels,” Korie said. “The bathroom is stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors. Anything you might need.”
I nodded and disappeared into the bathroom. I turned the water up as hot as it would go and sat on the toilet top. A few moments later, Korie brought me two fresh towels and a washcloth.
“Take your time. I’ll make us something to eat.”
I thanked her and waited until the door clicked shut, got undressed and climbed into the shower. As soon as the burning water washed over me, my mind cleared and a wave of emotions flooded back.
I felt strange. Conflicted. Scared, of course. I should hate the thought of being stranded in the forest for an undetermined amount of time, but the thought of being alone with Korie was…tempting. I could get to know her more. Learn everything there is to know.
We could…I tried to shake the thought from my head, but it had already taken root. My clit began to pulse between my legs as I thought about Korie. Her tall, muscled body. How well she took care of me. Her grabbing my chin, eyes burning into mine, demanding me to tell her I wasn’t a burden.
My fingers mindlessly traveled down my damp skin and between my thighs. The second I brushed across my aching center, there was no stopping it. I needed to come to the thought of her. I rubbed careful, slow circles, but it wasn’t enough.
I grabbed the detachable shower head from the wall and tested each setting, keeping it on the one with a strong, single stream. Lifting one leg onto the edge of the tub, I positioned the stream of water directly on my clit. I was so unprepared for the shock that I didn’t have time to stifle my cry.
It echoed through the small bathroom and I slapped a hand over my mouth, but I didn’t move the showerhead.
I kept the stream constant in the same spot, trying to build to my climax as quickly as possible.
I imagined Korie on her knees in front of me, hair and skin drenched, fingers squeezing into my thighs as she looked up at me and wrapped her lips around my..
My orgasm was so violent that my whole body jerked and jolted. My moans broke from my fingers’ hold. Shampoo and conditioner bottles crashed to the floor as Korie’s name spilled from my lips and into the steaming bathroom air.
The second the overwhelming pleasure released me, I froze. The showerhead slipped from my hand and fell to the floor, spraying the stream of water straight up into my face.
“Everything okay?” Korie called out. “Did you call me?”
I could die. I could fucking die right here. If I shot this water up my nose long enough, would I drown myself?
“Umm.” My voice was still shaking and breathy from my explosive release. “Yeah. I mean no. I mean…I’m fine! I’ll be out in a minute.”
Even though I would rather beat myself over the head with the showerhead until I passed out, I couldn’t stay there forever.
I would have to face her at some point. So, I dragged myself from the shower.
I took my time doing my hair, washing my face, brushing my teeth and throwing on some comfy clothes.
Sucking in a deep breath, I pushed out into the living room. Korie was in the kitchen, her back to me as she worked on something that smelled amazing. I quietly crept over to the couch, trying to stretch a few more seconds of time before it got awkward.
“Made you some tea, it’s on the coffee table,” Korie called over her shoulder.
Fuck.
“Oh, thanks.”
A few moments later, she handed me a bowl of hearty soup and bread and took a seat next to me. We ate in silence. I wanted to tell her how delicious it tasted, but I didn’t trust my voice. But as we finished, there was no avoiding it.
“I’m sor-
“How are you feeling?”
We both spoke at the same time, my apology swallowed up by her steadier voice. But her soft chuckle and warm smile softened the awkwardness.
“I’m okay. Still a little tired, but I feel safe here,” I managed to say.
Korie nodded, grabbing her tea and gulping it slowly.
“It’s okay, by the way.”
My head snapped over to her.
“We all need to let off some steam sometimes.”
“Oh, God,” I groaned, hiding my face in my hands. “I’m going to just pretend that never happened.”
“I’m not.” Her voice was husky.
“What?” I looked over at her again. Her eyes were hooded with something dangerously close to desire.
“I’m just happy you feel comfortable here. This is your temporary home…whatever you need to do is more than fine with me.”
I had to get out of there before I jumped in her lap. I shot to my feet and grabbed my empty dishes.
“I’m going to get a little more sleep,” I squeaked, the panic clear in my voice.
Korie sat back on the couch and crossed her ankle over her knee, bringing her tea to her lips again.
“Sleep well. I’ll be out here if you need me.”
