Chapter 5
Summer
My breathing quickens, the urge to fall to the ground and sob hits me so hard but I try to pull it back, I try to keep it in as my shoulder throbs from the altercation with Gabriel, not even half an hour ago and run as fast as I can.
I feel like everything around me is spinning, the autumn wind not doing anything to help me catch my breath as pure pain radiates through me.
I thought he loved me, I-I… he said he loved me...
The first tear falls, and I quickly wipe it away as I slow my pace from a run to a speed walk down the sidewalk, adamant to get home before I fall apart.
Before I realize that the bike pipes I heard when I was being assaulted was Eric who clearly saw my attack but took it the wrong way.
Instead of confronting me, instead of kicking the crap out of Gabriel, which I would have loved to have seen, he decided to get even when I hadn’t done anything wrong.
When I was assaulted and to add insult to injury, he was soft, even I could see that, he didn’t want her, he just wanted to hurt me even if I hadn’t walked in on it.
“You don’t need a man.”
My dad's voice whispers, and another tear falls, but again I wipe it instantly, trying to keep my heartbreaking sobs that want to release inside me until I’m in my own comfort.
He didn’t even stop to confront us. He took matters into his own hands, trying to enact revenge by screwing another woman, and whether or not he knew I was going to show up, his revenge worked out perfectly in his favor.
His smirk flashes in my mind, and a small sob leaves me, but I try to swallow it down and walk quicker just as my phone beeps.
I grab it from my bag with shaky hands and unlock it, trying to ignore the picture of Eric and me smiling into the lens —or should I call him Anchor now?
Shaking my head, I open the message.
Amber:
I just spoke to your lawyer about your inheritance. Pop over, it is important!
I sniffle, trying to keep my emotions under control and change direction towards the apartment building Dad rented out, an apartment I know she’s struggling to stay in.
Last time I was there, she had a notice pinned to her door.
I don’t think about calling my lawyer, knowing she’s talking out of her ass, that this could be a trap. I don’t think about anything. My heart is shattering, and the only thing I can focus on is, I thought he loved me.

Twenty minutes later, I walk into Amber's apartment, the smell of weed instantly hitting my nostrils, while moaning hits my ears before I stop in the living area to find Gabriel screwing Amber from behind. His small dick shoved in her ass as she moans and groans with fake pleasure.
Geeze, if anything, she looks bored as she holds the chair, her eyes on the TV as she moans loudly for his pleasure.
See, I knew she was sleeping with him, and all she wanted was my inheritance.
She will never touch it, even if she tries to contest it, she won’t get any of it, including access to the house because it isn’t a normal key in the door, my dad was a little paranoid where my safety was concerned, so for her to enter it, she’d have to not only know the pin but also have to speak it out loud for voice recognition.
My dad was so paranoid, just before he died he added a security eye scanner and not just to the front and back door but also to the garage where my car is currently parked, a car I’m suddenly wishing I had because then maybe none of this would have happened.
Though I wouldn’t have known how nasty Eric can be when he takes a situation the wrong way.
She also can’t access my accounts, I have the lawyer transfer no more than one thousand a month into my normal account and even then he calls to confirm it.
Amber isn’t getting anything so whatever this is, it’s going to fail for her.
“Well, isn’t this cozy?” I announce as I tilt my head, my whole body numb after what I witnessed earlier, gaining both of their attention, their eyes widening seeing me.
I snort out a laugh, seeing the strip across Gabriel's swollen nose, bruising already forming around it and underneath his eyes, and he quickly pulls out of my mother's ass and puts his, yep, I was right, his small dick away, and he growls, “This isn’t fucking funny!” as he points to his nose.
“And you trying to sexually assault me was?!” I scoff, making his jaw tick, and I look at Amber, who is straightening her clothes.
“Yet again trying to get something that doesn’t belong to you, huh, Amber?
” I chuckle, “When are you going to learn that you will never touch what my father left me. You couldn’t even be bothered to stick around when I was born.
” I look her up and down and sneer, “Why don’t you go get a job on the street corner, since you are so fricking good at faking it. ”
Gabriel looks at her in shock, but she ignores him and states, “Actually, I think I’d prefer to get what I’m owed for carrying you to begin with.”
A smirk appears on her face is the last thing I see as something hard hits the back of my head, and everything goes black as my body falls.
***
“Wakey-wakey,” a voice snarls as pain throbs through my head, and I squeeze my eyes tightly, not wanting to open them, but a hand grips my hair tightly, and I cry out as I lock eyes with light green ones that are so cold I shiver.
His eyes run down my body, and it is only then that I’m conscious that I’m naked and terror runs through me.
Oh god…
“You’ve been out for three days bitch, and three days is a long time to wait to see what you really are made of.” The man says with a gleam in his eyes, and my breathing picks up as true fear hits me and I shake.
He grins, his crooked black teeth coming into view as he admits, “Mama dearest wasn’t very happy with you.
Not only did she not get a payment from me, but she realized even with you gone, she can’t touch everything that daddy dearest left you,” he leans forward and I hold my breath at the stench as he whispers, “You’re going to call your lawyer and get me everything. ”
He pulls back a little, a dare shining in his evil eyes, and I snarl at him, not caring what happens to me as I spit in his face and croak, “Go fuck yourself.”
Like hell will I allow this scum to touch what my dad worked so hard to get.
He looks at me, but instead of anger, there’s a gleam in his eyes that scares me even more.
“Gabriel said you were a fighter, but I didn’t believe him,” he says with a smirk, “My clients are going to love you…”
“And you are going to die,” I say softly in return, and he raises a brow until I state, “I’m seeing a Rebel’s brother, as soon as he realizes I’ve gone missing, he will find me, and he will kill you.”
It’s a lie —the picture of Eric with that woman is clear as day, the pain in his eyes despite the smirk on his face, proof he took the situation wrong and wanted to hurt me, but it is all I’ve got.
He curls his lip and sneers, “Then I’ll just have to make sure that MC scum thinks you left town,” and grips my hair tighter, causing me to cry out in pain before he drags me out of what I’m now realizing is a cage, and several whimpers hit my ears as I fall to the floor with a thud and a cough to hide my cry.
I look around with fear, seeing several women, a few men, even kids locked up in cages, and my eyes tear up.
Oh god…
My situation finally hits home and it’s a terrifying situation to be in. I’m in some sort of sex trafficking ring, and all these people are the ones that have gone missing from town.
I go to try and move, but the man shoves me hard to the ground, and a foot stomps on my head, making me cry out again as the person puts a lot of pressure on it, keeping my head down as I feel my hips being lifted.
I try to fight back, try to kick, but all that does is make the men laugh as I’m spread apart before I feel something at my entrance.
“No!” I scream, trying to fight harder, trying to kick my legs, but all that does is make the men in the room laugh some more as someone chokes, “Just give in, it’ll be easier...”
I choke out a cry as the man thrusts inside me, absolute pain radiating down below and into my stomach and terror flitters through me as he cackles, “Fucking hell, boys, we have a virgin!”
A round of cheers echoes as the man above me thrusts hard and fast, tearing my insides as more excruciating pain fills me.
I try to fight harder, not willing to give up only for the person standing on my head to press down harder on it and I sob, the images of Eric’s smile hitting my eyes, his laughter flittering through my ears and I try to wiggle my body, to dislodge them, needing to get out of here but it’s no use.
Just as the man groans, coming inside my unprotected body, the boot on my head relieves the pressure before I’m kicked in the head and everything goes dark with laughter echoing.
