Glossary

I am no expert on Latin. I do not claim to be an expert on Latin. I took a lot of liberties.

Alter : Second in the chosen line of succession for Lord.

Antiletum : (anntee-lay-toom) A rare herb that reverses magical necrosis from over expending magic or using it outside of a vinculum bond.

Caelo/caelos : Heaven/heavens.

Deo/deos : God/gods.

Infernum : Hell.

Murmurare : Panthera exclusive gift capable of creating smoke creatures that read energy and report to user in exclusive language.

Noctua: The faction under the Nocturne worshiping owls.

Nocturne : The trio of dead gods. A barn owl, a black fox, and a caracal.

Ocellus : I guess you’ll just have to find out, won't you?

Panthera : The faction under the Nocturne worshiping caracals.

Suredeis : (sure-daze) Resistance group that wants to overthrow Parliament and bring the Nocturne back to life.

Spirlinary : A church-like sanctuary, dedicated to worshiping the Nocturne . Often used along with magical ingredients and offerings to amplify unbound magic.

Strigi Forest: Forest surrounding the Greystone Estate. Location of the Noctua Heartstone.

Vinculum: Binding metal.

Vulpes: The faction under the Nocturne worshiping foxes.
