Jett

I was never a risk taker, planning and overthinking everything, but being around Wes makes it impossible. We just took a huge risk, getting off in a fucking shower stall. I’m waiting for my freakout, but nothing happens. I just feel sated and… I don’t know, happy-ish.

Wes reads the menu with huge eyes. “Fuck, I could eat everything.” He grins at me, licking his lips.

Shit, it was so hot when he told me he’d want to go down on me sometime.

Not just the image itself, but his honesty.

I’ve never been around someone who just says exactly what they think. It’s fresh and kind of liberating.

Before I can analyze it, I say, “Why don’t we order a little bit of everything and just share?”

He stares at me, his hair still damp from the shower. “Yeah?”

I shrug. “Sure.”

“Cool.” A wide smile splits his face in half as his eyes trail over the menu. I can’t get over how blue they are.

We’re sitting in a booth in the back, away from the counter. It’s not too busy; most people just come in for a coffee to-go and some pastries. I can’t remember the last time I went out for breakfast, but this place Wes chose is actually kind of nice and laid-back.

“How do you know this place?”

Wes looks up, the smile lingering. “I used to come here all the time when I was in college. They’re very student-budget friendly, and the portions are generous.”

“So, you ran for the cross-country team here?”

“Yeah. With my best friend, Dennis.” His eyes turn wistful. “He and I are kind of a package deal. Well, now he’s all domesticated, but before that…”

“Domesticated?”

“Yeah, he’s all married and shit. Lives back in Cannon Beach with his hubby, Mike. Sickeningly happy.” He makes a face, but his eyes spill over with warmth.

“Your best friend is gay?” I didn’t know what I was expecting. Wes is kind of a dude-bro, or at least that was my first impression. I’m starting to see more nuances as I get to know him.

“Yep. Do you like buckwheat?”

“Huh?”

“Buckwheat. They’ve got regular pancakes and buckwheat. I kinda prefer the buckwheat ones, but they’re sort of an acquired taste, but if you haven’t tried it before, then—”

I laugh. “Go for it.” Shit, his rambles are cute.

“You sure?”

I just nod, and his smile grows even wider.

While we wait for our server, I can’t stop staring at him.

His full lips I kissed in the shower. His soft chin, dusted with a fine layer of golden scruff.

His floppy hair spilling onto his forehead.

Now that I don’t think he’s annoying anymore, I can appreciate Wes for who he is.

He’s really attractive, actually. I see why the women like him so much.

He’s got that certain something. An energy and spark that draws you in.

His vibe is positive and outgoing. We couldn’t be more opposite.

He narrows his eyes. “What?”

“Nothing. You’re just… different than I thought.”

He tilts his head. “You’re different from what I thought, too.”

“Burst your pink bubble, did I?” I can’t hide the bitterness in my voice.

“Maybe at first,” he says. “But I think I like this version of you, too. I mean, once you get past the assholish behavior, you’re not so bad.”

“Assholish?”

“Yeah, I mean, come on. You were kind of an asshole to me at first.”

He’s not wrong. Again, his casual honesty blows me away. Perhaps I owe him a little honesty in return. “I’m not a people person. I mean, I don’t like it when people recognize me.”

“Fair enough. I can sort of relate to that. When going back home, I sometimes prefer to lie low, too. You know, with my family and Dennis.”

I nod. “You close to your—”

“Okay, guys, hit me with it!” A middle-aged woman beams at us, a notepad and pen in her hands.

“Yes!” Wes rubs his hands together, then starts listing all the dishes. We’re probably going to be late for work with all the food he wants.

“Jeez, you boys are hungry! Busy morning already?” The waitress, whose nametag reads Lauren, fans herself with her notepad.

“You have no idea.” Wes winks at her, and I want to slide down my seat and hide under the table. Then he nods at me. “Big boy, big appetite.” I groan, because could he be any more obvious?

The server appraises me briefly, then she turns on her heel and hurries off toward the counter.

“You’re impossible,” I say when she’s out of earshot.

“Whatcha mean?” Wes pretends to look oblivious, but he isn’t fooling anyone.

“Just… Your mouth has a life of its own, doesn’t it?”

His face transforms, his eyes darkening to a deep blue. Then he leans over the table, his voice a low hum when he speaks. “You didn’t seem to mind my mouth in the shower.”

I swallow as images of earlier invade my mind. Wes’ hands on me, the words spilling from his lips, his hungry eyes roaming my body. “That was different,” I rasp.

He nods, then leans back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest. The muscles of his shoulders flex behind his T-shirt, and I recall how he wrapped his hand around my wrist and pulled me with him into the stall. How assertive he was. How sure of himself. It was such a huge fucking turn-on.

“You really don’t remember me?” he asks. “From back home? From high school?”

I shake my head. It’s nothing personal, I want to say.

I really don’t remember much from that time.

Everything was drowned out by practice, competitions, and personal bests that were never good enough.

I wish I could remember him. I wish I’d had a friend like Wes back in school.

Maybe things could’ve been different. I rub at my chest, jealous of this Dennis guy—a guy I don’t remember either.

The food arrives, and our table turns into an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I wonder where he puts it all. Wes seems to read my mind and laughs.

“I don’t eat like this every day, but S-E-X makes me hungry.

” He waggles his eyebrows, then reaches for the scrambled eggs and bacon.

When he’s piled half onto his plate, he hands them to me. “Better stack up on protein.”

“Jesus,” I mumble, but I can’t hide the smile tugging at my mouth. Within seconds, Wes starts scarfing down forkfuls of food, humming around every bite like he’s never tasted anything this good before.

I swallow, recalling how the flavor of his cum exploded on my tongue earlier, the heady tart taste of man. I can’t wait to blow him, to swallow down his entire load. Maybe next time, because I’m pretty sure there’s going to be a next time.

“Don’t just swallow your food. It’s not good for you.”

Wes tilts his head, dipping out his tongue and licking his fork. “Okay. I won’t swallow my food then.” His eyes grow dark with trouble, and my dick hardens… I can’t get over how fucking sexy he is.

“You’ve never been with a guy before? Not even… Dennis?”

Wes’ lips curl, his eyes growing huge, the fork hovering in front of his lips. “Eww, no! Seriously, dude? Just… no.”

“What? He’s not hot?” I can’t help chuckling at the way Wes is gaping at me.

“I don’t know. I guess, maybe, but no.” He shakes his head, his bangs falling into his eyes, and he has to finger them back. “It would be like… You know, kissing your brother. Not that I have a brother, I’m an only child, but you know what I mean.”

“So I’m your first?” I wince at my words, because shit, that sounded a little needy. Wes doesn’t seem to notice, though, too busy piling pancakes onto his plate.

“Yep.” Unfazed, he pours an obscene amount of syrup onto his mountain of pancakes. He regards his plate, then looks up at me. “What?”

“Nothing.”

“You waiting for me to have a freakout or something?”

I kind of am. “No. I’m not waiting for you to do anything.”

“Good to know,” he says, diving in, humming around every bite. I grab a pancake too, but I’m not really hungry. I usually have a large breakfast after running, but the unexpectedness of this morning has completely thrown me off my routine.

When Wes has cleaned his plate, his gaze dips to mine. “Not a fan of buckwheat after all?”

“Oh. Nah, it’s not that. I’m just full.”

“Okay.” He gestures at my plate with his fork. “You mind if I…?”

“Nope. Knock yourself out.”

“Cool.” He stabs the pancake, then drops it onto his plate and drowns it in syrup.

I sip my coffee, my eyes fixed on Wes. Does he ever stop smiling?

He acts like eating itself brings him immense joy.

When he’s finished, he leans back in his seat with a deep sigh.

His eyes are glued to my chest, while he licks excess syrup off his lips.

I swallow, feeling flustered under his hot gaze. “What?” I ask, noticing how guttural my voice sounds.

“Nothing. It’s just… This is surreal shit, isn’t it?” He shakes his head, then brushes a rogue strand of hair out of his eyes. The simple movement makes my heart race as I recall how he stroked me earlier, his firm grip around my shaft and the way it loosened around my cockhead.

“What is?”

Wes leans over the table. “Look, I just didn’t see this coming, okay? That I’d run into my childhood hero, then end up doing swapsies with him in confined spaces. Not to mention eating breakfast together. Like I said, surreal shit.”

“Swapsies, huh? What, are you like sixteen?”

Wes waggles his eyebrows, which is the corniest thing ever. “Libido-wise, yes.”

“You’re ridiculous.”

“Pft, you’re warming up to me, admit it. I see you, Coach Cordier.”

I see you. I think if he really did, he’d run screaming for the hills. If Wes saw what a mess I truly am, he’d soon get over sharing swapsies and breakfast with me.

Wes twirls a finger around the excess syrup on his plate, then mirrors my movement from earlier when I sucked his cum off my thumb.

He’s shameless, really, and still, I’m transfixed, pulled into his orbit, unable to resist him.

He moans around his finger, then shoots me a blinding smile.

My dick stirs, straining against my pants. A smudge of syrup clings to his chin.

“What?” he breathes, still licking his lips.

“Nothing. You’ve just got a little…” I nod at his chin.

“Oh.” He wipes at his chin, but he just makes it worse. “Did I get it?”

“Yeah.” I force myself to look away before I lean over the table and suck his entire chin into my mouth.

“You’re such a fucking liar,” he laughs. “Get it for me, will you?”

Fuck my life.

I look around the café, but everyone’s minding their own business.

I reach out and wipe the syrup away with my thumb.

Wes’ skin is so hot under my touch, or perhaps it’s just me, burning up.

My thumb hovers in front of his mouth, and before I can pull away, he sucks it, humming exaggeratedly.

His eyes roll all the way into his head, and I can’t tell if he’s playing with me or if he’s really that into sucking my thumb in a public place.

It doesn’t really matter. I’m fucking into it.

He releases my thumb, a string of saliva suspended between his bottom lip and my finger.

A groan builds between us, and when Wes smiles at me knowingly, I realize it stemmed from me and my reaction.

“Omg, stop!” he hisses. “You’re gonna get me hard with all that sinful moaning and groaning.”

“Suits you just right,” I whisper back. “Looking like a fucking porn star making love to my thumb.”

“Aww. Some other part of you is jealous, huh?”

“No.”

“Liar.”

Liar. He has no fucking idea. But it’s hard to keep up my walls when he looks at me like this, when he bares himself to me.

It dawns on me that I’m the most honest when I’m with him.

Letting down my guard, even just a little, is a scary thought.

I hope it won’t backfire, but even if it does, I know the truth.

I’m drawn to Wes like a moth to a flame, and I couldn’t stay away even if I wanted to.

So I give him something, even if it’s just a small concession.

“Maybe.” I hold up my thumb and index finger between us. “Maybe I’m just a little jealous.” And I don’t regret my openness for a single second when I’m rewarded with the biggest smile ever.
