Epilogue
. . .
I scaled down from the cold, barren tower at the outlook of Blezen, a frustrated sigh escaping me as I landed in plush snow below. “It’s confirmed. They have at least fifty drake scales hidden in barrels.”
Another piece of the puzzle found in the dragon and drake scale operation we’d been tracking…unfortunately, it was also leading to the much bigger cult-like problem we had been afraid of.
Thankfully, worrying about that shit was above my pay grade as a spy for the Supernatural Council.
“It has to be a contact point,” Jesper muttered. “Okay, get out of there, honey drop. Drecken’s going to be waiting on you.”
Drecken shimmered into existence in front of me and held out his hand with a small bow. “Viperling?”
“He’s here,” I murmured through the comms, taking his hand. He teleported us out of Blezen and into our home—the Grimsworn Estate.
The smell of stew hit my nose, and my stomach growled. “You cooked?”
“You asked me to.” Drecken’s cheeks turned red as he rubbed the back of his neck. “It’s my mom’s recipe.”
“I helped.” Reggie sniffed, calling from the couch.
“Sir Reginald helped me find the journal my mother had the recipe written inside,” Drecken clarified.
“It’s scrumptious,” he told me, rolling over onto his stomach. “Master Drecken gave me some already. I’ll be napping if you need anything, Mistress.”
Drecken rolled his eyes as sparks of magic crackled off him. He snapped his fingers, and the table was set with seven bowls of stew and glasses of water. “Yes, well…I hope you like it. I know it’s not as good as Jesper’s, probably.”
I pushed onto my tip-toes and kissed his lips softly. “I’m going to love it, spell daddy.”
He groaned, leaning his head back as he did so. “Why does that sound so good coming from you?”
“Because I’m your mate.” I rounded the table and took my spot, grabbing my spoon and taking a bite. The herb and garlic flavor burst in my mouth, and I moaned. “Fates, Drecken, this is scrumptious.”
He snorted, claiming the seat next to me and taking a bite himself. His eyes widened. “It tastes just like my mother used to make it.”
I reached over and fixed a stray hair on his head. “You’re an excellent cook, and your mom made a lovely stew.”
“Thank you, viperling.”
The wayfaer portal in the living room gave off a bright light as magic funneled in. Jesper, Dimitri, Koa, Slater, and Zuko came in with various expressions of exhaustion on their faces.
“You could’ve come and got us, too,” Slater pouted, stealing the seat next to me.
“Ah, I suppose I could’ve.” Drecken shrugged.
“Would’ve been nice.” Zuko sat next to Slater and immediately scooped a spoonful of stew and ate it. “Damn, this is good.”
“Thank you for fixing dinner,” Jesper murmured as he sat across from me with Koa next to him.
Koa took a bite before groaning. “Yeah, seriously. Thanks. This is delicious. Jesper, it rivals your dinners.”
Jesper took a tentative bite before he let out a noise of appreciation. “Drecken, I need your recipe.”
“Sorry, but Sir Reginald said I can only give it to Rune.” Drecken gave him a sheepish smile.
Jesper pouted before turning toward the spider monkey already sleeping on the couch. “And he’s sleeping.”
“You just missed him.” Drecken took another bite.
I giggled before taking a drink and meeting Jesper’s gaze. “Do we have any idea what those scales were going to be used for?”
He shook his head, swallowing the bite of food in his mouth and taking a drink. “Still no leads. Whoever is taking the scales knows where they’re being held, but we’ve confiscated a lot of them back.”
“That’s insane,” Zuko muttered between bites. “We have a missing drake scale notice at least every month.”
“Not to mention that new body in the lake in the Bizarre,” Slater huffed.
“Nothing helpful there either,” Koa sighed.
“That sounds frustrating,” Drecken comforted us. “Have I told you about the nanobots I found in Allison’s bloodstream yet?”
“Yes,” Dimitri muttered dryly. “Many times.”
“Nanobots are such oddities. No other human body I’ve done autopsies on had them,” he said with a hum. “Well, aside from when Norman found some in human specimens back in Kalista’s Second War…”
“What about Allison’s parents?” Zuko asked. “Sure, the mom’s unusable, but the dad maybe?”
Drecken sighed. “Well, you took the mom’s body for Cthulhu, remember?”
Zuko chuckled. “How could I forget? I had you create an enchanted enclosure with her corpse as the centerpiece. He loves it, by the way.”
“He really does,” I cooed.
“Right.” Drecken nodded. “Anyway, the dad’s body lacked any magic at all.”
“Doesn’t surprise me,” Koa muttered, fussing with a medium-sized terrarium Drecken had enchanted for Ragnar to shift through different environments that he liked.
It was by far the best gift for him, and it held spatial magic so Ragnar could explore to his heart’s content.
“Jeff wasn’t the type to get involved on a personal level when I was spying on them.
He let everyone else be the guinea pigs. ”
Rolling my eyes, I took another bite. “That makes sense. I’m just glad it’s over until the next human kicks up a fuss.”
“Hopefully, that won’t be for a long while,” Slater said as he stuffed his mouth with another bite.
“At least the academy held a memorial for Seth, after all that happened at the formal,” I murmured.
“Of course they did.” Jesper’s brown eyes bored into mine. “Seth’s sacrifice didn’t just save you, honey drop, it saved us all.”
“I know.” I stared into my almost empty bowl. “I’m still worried about the Montclair family. You know, Octavia and Delphine.”
Jesper sighed. “I know, but there’s nothing we can do until we are made aware of something we can’t look away from.”
“Stupid.” I swallowed my last bite and cracked my neck. “I need a shower. Drecken, can you unzip me?”
Drecken’s lips curled into a smirk before he snapped his fingers. Instead of unzipping me, my suit lay in my chair, folded neatly.
“Thanks, spell daddy.” I waved before walking toward the bathroom.
“I’m not that hungry.” Slater scooted his bowl and stood up quickly, his chair screeching across the floor. “Hey, venom baby, instead of a proper shower, let me shower you with my love!”
Zuko stood up next with a low hiss. “By the time we’re done with her, she’ll need a proper shower.”
My feet hit the floor as I ran to our ensuite bathroom, two distinct footsteps behind me.
“Oh, not again,” Reggie groaned. “I’m tired.”
“You’ve slept all day,” Koa snickered.
“Oh, stop, Sir Reginald,” Drecken sighed. “Our bedroom is completely soundproof.”
“Only when you remember to shut the door,” he scoffed.
“I’ll remember this time, okay?” Dimitri promised.
“If he doesn’t, I will,” Jesper placated him.
As soon as I stepped into the bedroom, Slater had me pinned to the large enchanted bed Drecken had created for us.
“You didn’t think you could run from us, did you?” Zuko purred, walking toward the bed.
“She likes the chase,” Dimitri mused, walking in next.
“No!” I giggled as Slater nipped at his mark on my shoulder, making me squirm. “I mean—yes! Okay! But I really need to shower after the mission.”
Drecken snapped his fingers as he came in, blue eyes glowing as his magic washed over me. “There. All clean, viperling.”
I huffed out a laugh.
“That’s one way to do it.” Koa strolled in and placed Ragnar’s enclosure on the dresser.
“I believe it’s effective,” Jesper murmured, shutting the door behind him. “Don’t you, honey drop?”
“Y—Yes, I do.” My breath hitched.
“She says it’s effective, so that means…” Slater’s tongue licked over my collarbone and dipped down the valley of my breasts before stopping and sucking my left nipple.
“We get to play.” Zuko’s tongue slithered out before splitting, making my insides clench in anticipation.
“We do.” Drecken snapped his fingers again, and everyone else was as naked as I was.
“Is that what you want, lethal darling?” Dimitri tilted his head, red eyes burning into me. “To play?”
“Yes!” My back bowed off the bed as Slater switched nipples, making room for Zuko to spread my legs apart, spearing his tongue inside of me. “Fates!”
“The Fates gave us you, little vixen…” Koa moved to the other side of me and caught my free nipple in his mouth.
“Mmf…” I gasped, tangling my fingers through both Slater’s and Koa’s hair.
Zuko’s fangs sliced into me as he ate me out, sending his venom through my veins.
His long, split tongue curled inside of me, taking me apart with every movement.
The stimulation from Slater and Koa on my nipples and Zuko bumping my clit with his nose, slipping his tongue in and out of me, caused the pressure to build fast.
“I—I can’t—” I cried out as an orgasm blasted through me, robbing me of any other thought than of my mates.
“Can’t what?” Zuko purred, licking up my arousal with lazy strokes of his split tongue, swirling around my clit. “Can’t handle all the pleasure?”
Slater and Koa bit down gently at the same time. Every lick and suck sent another shockwave of pleasure rolling through me.
I screamed out, Zuko’s venom pushing me further off the edge as I came again. My veins were on fire as I fell into the abyss of ecstasy.
My matebonds thrummed with raw need.
“I need you inside of me…all of you,” I moaned out.
“We can do that, viperling,” Drecken assured me, using his magic to slather lube over my ass as Slater and Koa popped off my nipples with an audible pop.
Zuko moved back, licking his lips as he grabbed his cock and stroked it. “Who do you want first?”
“I want all of you.” I squirmed under their heated stares.
Zuko moved closer, dark orange eyes boring into mine. His magic poured over me. “Tell us who you want where, pretty little poison.”
“I want Jesper inside my pussy, Koa in my ass, Dimitri in my left hand, Drecken in my right, you in my mouth, and Slater sucking my nipple while he strokes himself.” The words of my most visited fantasy spilled out with his power, and my body flushed with need.
