Saturday Night

As we stepped on and off the subway, all I could think was: I shouldn’t be doing this.

But then he’d pull me closer, his voice deep and low in my ear as he reminded me that this was just between us.

And while that was true, the moment we stepped inside my apartment, reality slammed back into me.

“Are you sure we should be doing this?” I asked out loud, twisting my fingers together as I watched him take in my cluttered studio.

He gripped my hand. “That’s up to you. You already know what I want.”

“I know, but,” I waved around the room, gesturing to the double bed in the corner. “Are you really okay with this?”

He let out a laugh, and for just a second, I forgot how wrong this was meant to be.

“I’m here, aren’t I?”

His thumb brushed across my knuckles, and my legs felt like they might collapse out from under me. Which wasn’t surprising. After the orgasm he’d given me, I couldn’t believe I was still conscious.

“All I know is I’m tired of fighting this. Kira is with her aunt, and if you’re more comfortable here than at my place, I’m not going to argue with you.”

Well, that forced a grin out of me. “No arguments? Can I get that in writing?”

The corner of his mouth quirked, and he tugged gently on my arm, pulling me close. “I knew you were trouble.”

I laughed. “The kind of trouble you want to fuck?”

A full, genuine smile spread across his gorgeous face, and oh, if I thought I liked seeing it before, I loved it now.

“The only kind I want.”

Okay, I had to admit, that single line definitely earned him these stomach flutters. But before my heart had a chance to melt into my ribcage, his eyes darkened, his voice deep and demanding as he said, “Now, take that dress off. You won’t be needing it for a while.”
