Chapter 19 - Stefano

Every year I book out an entire camp site to let my employees unwind, relax and have some fun. It is beautiful place that sits on the edge of a forest, with a massive river running around it. I arrange different events for entertainment, and this year I have organized laser tag as the main game we are going to play.

Apart from tag we are also going to be doing some team challenges, like rock climbing and raft building.

The whole point is to get everyone out here, in nature, and having a laugh.

I am pretty excited that Darya is coming with me, because in a way, this is my family—these are the people that I spend my time with, and I want her to be a part of my life as much as I am a part of her family.

We pull up to our camping spot amongst the other tents which have already been set up for us.

Darya scrunches her nose, but she is smiling.

“Camping?” she says skeptically.

“One of my favorite ways to relax,” I shrug, really hoping that she is the kind of girl who will enjoy this.

“I haven’t been camping since high school. This is going to be amazing. I am so glad you brought me along.” She hops out of the car, excited to take a look around.

I climb out and follow her. The people I work with come over to greet me and Darya moves closer to me. She leans towards me and whispers, “Do you know everyone at this campsite?”

“Yes, these are all of the people I work with. You’ve already met some of them, you’ll meet the rest over the course of the weekend. I booked out the entire place for us.”

She looks a little nervous at first. I can see she is not entirely in her comfort zone here, but that doesn’t stop her from diving in and having an incredible time right from the start.

The bonfire is lit a few hours before sunset, and we are all sitting around it, relaxing, having a drink and chatting. Darya is mingling with everyone, getting to know them all, and it looks as though they are loving her.

I sip on my whiskey, watching her, how she smiles and laughs and makes everyone around her feel comfortable, regardless of whether they are floor staff or high ranking managers. She has a beautiful way with people, and it is one of the things I really admire about her.

“Hey, handsome.”

I turn my head towards a familiar voice as Reina comes to sit next to me on the stretched-out log by the fire.

“Reina, how have you been?”

Her cheeks are glowing from the heat of the flames, or from the drink in her hand. It’s hard to tell.

“Obviously, I'm much better, now that you're here. I’ve really missed you.” Reina leans close to me and runs her hand over my bicep. I move slightly away from her. I don’t want to embarrass her, but I need to make it clear that I am no longer interested in the casual thing we had going on before I met Darya.

“You’ve been working out.” She giggles, sipping her drink. “So, do you know where my tent is?”

She stares at me with a glint in her eye and a suggestive smile painted on her lips.

“Reina, have you met my wife?” I glance over to Darya and notice that she is glaring in my direction. Perhaps at me, perhaps at Reina. The flickering light from the fire is making it hard to tell.

“Oh, I haven’t had the pleasure—I didn’t even know she was here with you.” Reina leans against me, resting her head on my shoulder.

“You know, if you were to disappear for a little meeting later, I am sure she wouldn’t even notice,” she giggles.

I stand up as Darya walks towards us with a storm in her eyes and determination in her step.

Right away, she wraps her arm around my waist and pulls herself close to me. I can’t hide the grin on my face. I wrap my arm around her as well.

“Who is this?” she says, curt and perhaps slightly challenging.

Reina stands up, a little too boldly. She runs her hand down my chest and Darya’s eyes darken.

“Stefy and I go way back. We have been working together for years.”

“This is Reina. She manages our client liaison department, handling their orders and shipments, making sure everything runs smoothly.”

“I do make sure everything runs smoothly,” Reina grins, and Darya’s nail dig into my side.

“Reina, this is my wife, Darya.”

Darya glares at her without greeting her.

Reina looks momentarily unsettled, but then grins again. “I am surprised you joined us. I didn’t think this was your style. The Dubrovs are usually five-star, not outdoors in nature.”

“I guess it is safe to say that no one should underestimate where you might run into us.” Darya’s voice is tight and clipped.

I have never seen her like this. She is gripping me so tightly, I almost want to cry out from the pain of it, and her eyes are like daggers shooting directly into Reina.

“Stef, I wanted to get another drink,” Darya says, obviously just trying to get me away from Reina.

“I’ll join you, baby girl.” I turn to Reina, not wanting to be rude. “Reina, I will see you around later.”

“Of course, you will.” She winks.

Darya bites her bottom lip and turns away, tugging me along with her.

When we are a few steps away and out of earshot, she demands that I tell her what was going on.

“Who was that and why was she falling all over you?” Her voice is so tense I feel a little intimidated, except it is too cute to genuinely be intimidating. She is incredibly jealous.

“Reina is an employee—nothing more,” I assure her.

“It doesn’t look like nothing more. In fact, it looks like a lot more than nothing.”

She folds her arms across her chest and glares at me.

“We used to have a fling. A few times. But it was never anything serious. It wasn’t a relationship or anything like that—just casual.”

“And when last did this fling happen?” Her eyes are locked onto mine with such force I don’t dare look away.

“Before you and me. Absolutely nothing has happened since I met you.”

“You better make sure it stays that way, Stefy ,” she says darkly.

I chuckle and she punches me in the chest. She is fuming. I can’t believe how jealous she is. She looks like she wants to rip Reina to shreds.

“Darya, no one in the world makes me feel how you make me feel. You have nothing to worry about.”

“Well, someone should tell Reina that because I don’t think she got the memo,” she says in frustration. “She was literally about to crawl onto your lap earlier."

I lean down and pull her into my arms, lifting her right off the ground.

Her heated anger is turning me on, and the fact that she is so intensely possessive over me is something I was not expecting at all.

“Maybe we should skip the drink and go straight to our tent,” I whisper against her ear.

“Are you sure you don’t want to go and find Reina’s tent?” she snaps.

I chuckle again and carry her towards the bar.

“Come on, let’s get tequila, and then you can roast marshmallows with me by the fire.”

After a drink Darya relaxes a bit, and she sits on my lap at the bonfire as we roast marshmallows and make smores with my employees. She is back to her usual happy self, but I am still thinking about how jealous she got and wondering what it means.

In the morning, we wake up snuggled right against each other in our tent. There is a soft rain falling on the roof of the tent, and it sounds beautiful. I pull her closer to me and nuzzle my face into her neck.

“What a beautiful way to wake up,” I whisper against her.

“Mm,” she replies sleepily. “I could snuggle in here with you all day.”

We lie together for another hour before we start to hear the noises of other people getting up and starting the fire to make coffee and breakfast once the rain has stopped.

Reluctantly, I let her crawl out of my arms and get dressed to join the others.

Fireside coffee is such a special experience. I stand with Darya wrapped in my arms as we sip coffee out of tin mugs and look out over the wide stretch of beautiful hillside with the river running through it.

“Are you ready to get a little muddy?” I ask, smiling.

“I was born ready.” She laughs. “The guys were telling me last night that it gets quite heated. Everyone is really competitive.”

“Yes, it does. One year someone got so overexcited with the rock-climbing race that they stopped paying attention and slipped, broke their leg, but still wanted to try and finish.”

“Oh my goodness. Well, that’s just silly.”

I chuckle. “It is, but that’s how into these games everyone gets. I guess it doesn’t help that at that particular camping trip they were taking shots during the day.”

After breakfast, one of my team managers stands up on the side of a rock to call for everyone’s attention.

“Okay, guys, are we ready for the most important event of the weekend?”

Everyone cheers excitedly.

“Excellent. We have four teams. Each of you will randomly draw a color and then collect your kit to the left of me. Remember, this is a fun game—good, clean fun—Tony, I’m talking to you—" the crowd laughs again. “So let’s all get ready for some laser tag!” he shouts, and people loudly cheer as we all start lining up to pick our colors and find out whose team we are going to be on.

Darya excitedly follows me and pulls a yellow tag out of the jar. She waits nervously to see what color I am going to pull. I breathe a sigh of relief when it is yellow as well. I definitely didn’t want to have to be competing against my own wife.

She squeals in delight and jumps into my arms.

“Let’s get our vests and laser guns,” I laugh, carrying her over to the equipment.

“Oh no, I was really hoping I would be playing with you,” Reina comments suggestively as she bumps her hip against me.

“Oh, honey, he’s got his hands full playing with me,” Darya chuckles.

Reina pulls a face of annoyance but then quickly hides it behind a wide smile.

“Well, then, I guess it can all come down to whoever handles such a large…gun…the best.” Reina eyes my crotch for a second and smirks.

Darya steps in front of me, pressing her ass against my crotch and staring Reina down.

I feel like it isn’t safe for me to intervene at this point, so I just let them have their moment. It seems to be relatively playful, in the spirit of laser tag.

The team leader calls out that it is time to head into the forest for the game to start.

“You will see orange beacons around the perimeter. If you step outside of it, you are no longer in the game, so make sure you stay in the lines—a shot to the arm or leg will remove twenty five percent of your life light, and a shot to the chest will put your life light out. The life light is the bar indicated on the left sleeve of your gear. Stay safe, go find a spot with your team, and the game starts in ten minutes. Strategize, make a plan, have fun.”

There is absolute chaos as we all bolt towards the forest, trying to follow our teams and take note of where the other teams are going.

Reina, on the red team, runs close behind me and grabs my arm.

She pushes me up against a tree, playfully threatening me with her laser gun.

“I’m coming for you,” she says in a heated whisper.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Darya comes flying into her and knocks her clean off her feet.

“Better keep your eyes open, Reina.” She laughs, then grabs my hand and pulls me after our yellow team members.

I can’t believe she pulled that move, and as we leave, I catch a glimpse of Reina’s sour expression as she stands up to dust herself off. Everyone knows these games get intense, but I guess this one just got personal, too.

Our team makes a plan to split into smaller teams of two and three and cover more ground to take the other teams out. And in the beginning, we are doing really well—in fact, it starts looking like we might even win. But then Reina spots Darya and the intensity level goes up.

Reina seems hell-bent on getting up and close and personal with me, and Darya and seems hell-bent on taking her out.

Every time Reina comes near us, Darya dives in front of me to block her, until finally Darya’s mood seems to darken with annoyance.

“Who the hell does she think she is?” she demands, crouching behind a tree with me.

“She’s just playing the game,” I try to reassure her, but Darya is not having any of it.

“I am going to take her out for real,” Darya snaps, her mouth tight and her eyes narrowed with determination.

“Darya, it’s just a game, baby girl.”

“Fuck this,” she shouts, standing up and getting ready to run straight into the middle of the chaos.

I grab her arm and pull her back down behind the trees.

Her possessiveness over me and anger towards Reina for challenging her place in my life is turning me on rather wildly. It already started last night, but now, with her becoming more heated, so is my response.

I tug her hard and she lands on her back next to me.

“Let me go,” she squirms.

I pin her down beneath me.

“Are you jealous, Darya?” I chuckle.

“Don’t laugh at me. This isn’t funny,” she snarls like a wildcat.

I grab her jaw and force her to look at me. “You are jealous, baby girl.”

She glares into my eyes with fury reflecting in her bright blue pools. Then she feels how hard my cock is against her, my body pressing into hers. Her lips part in realization and a sly smile crosses her lips.

She shoves me hard, and in surprise, I move off her, not expecting her to push me away.

But then, even more to my surprise, she rolls over onto me. Then, slowly, she moves lower down my body. Heat runs through me, and the air is tense with suspense.

She grabs my pants and pulls them open, freeing my cock.

I glance around us, wondering just how hidden we are behind this tree. She doesn’t seem to care at all.

“Just in case you were wondering if you made the right choice,” she says mischievously, then licks her lips and wraps them around my throbbing cock.

I groan loudly and she digs her nails into my leg, reminding me that we are definitely not alone enough to be making those kinds of noises.

She glides her tongue over my cock, rocking her mouth back and forth until I am practically exploding from the pleasure of it.

In the distance, I can hear our teammates shouting for help, but it’s the last thing I care about now.

She slips my cock deeper into her mouth and I shudder, starting to rock my cock in and out of her mouth. She the base of my cock in her hands and squeezes as I thrust forward, gasping loudly when the pleasure overwhelms me, and I explode into her mouth.

She swallows, sits up and grins.

Our vests start flashing an array of colors to let us know that all of our team members are out of the game.

“Whoops,” she says, still grinning. “I think I got a little distracted there.”

“Baby girl, you can get distracted any day you like.”

She stands up and I quickly pull my pants closed, standing up as well.

People are walking just a few meters from us.

We slip into the flow of players as they head back to the campsite.

I know my team is going to be pissed off about losing, but fuck me, that was worth it.

When we near the camp, Darya spots Reina and sighs loudly. I grab her around the waist and pull her close to me.

“Darya, just in case you were wondering—I have never doubted whether or not I chose the right girl.”

The way her eyes light up brings an odd warmth to my heart.

I know I didn’t choose the wrong girl. From the second I laid eyes on her, I wanted her.
