I knocked on the door but there was no answer still shouting. I opened the door quickly closing it behind me so Ava doesn't hear anything. I looked over to Dylan and she was angry. 'Hey what's going on?' I ask looking between her and her father. She ran her hands through her hair and sat bcak down on her chair. 'It's none of your business' her father spoke to me. Dylan slammed her hands on her desk. 'Don't you talk to Elizabeth like that, she owns half of this company' Dylan spoke to him. I loved it when she stuck up for me. It's so hot.
'He wants half of the company' is all I heard Dylan speak. I quickly turned my head to her father. 'You gave it away , so why do you want it back now?' I questioned him. He doesn't answer he just stares at Dylan. 'He's broke' she says flipping through some papers not bothering looking up. 'If you need the money we can help you out' I spoke to him but Dylan shot her head around. 'Fuck no' she shouted at me. I breathed trying not to get annoyed. 'Dylan do not speak to me like that, it is our money, wouldn't it be better than handing half the business over?' I spoke to her calmly. Her father looked between us feeling the tension and decided to leave.
'He's your father and he needs your help, and you're just going to sit there and watch him suffer?' Dylan sat there ignoring me. Acting like a child. I quickly spun her chair around. 'Don't fucking ignore me Dylan' she tried to move her chair back around but I didn't let her. 'Look we're not giving him anything. End of discussion Elizabeth'. I just laughed walking away from her. 'So what, you make all the decisions?' 'Yes Elizabeth, always have and always will'. Dylan spoke to me. I could see her getting wound up so decided to leave it for now. She grabbed her suit jacket putting it on and walking out to Ava.
She smiled widely and lifted her in air and hugged her. Both laughing and smiling together. 'Ready to go home little one?' She asks and Ava nods her head cuddling into Dylan's neck. The drive home was silent between me and Dylan. Thankfully Ava is not old enough to catch on but it was so awkward in the car. I hated it. As we pulled up Dylan quickly grabbed Ava and made her way inside the house. Leaving me behind. I rolled my eyes and followed behind her grabbing Ava's bag.
