They step inside the cool, incense-scented air of the temple.
Aarav walks beside Ashiana, looking both handsome and slightly irritated in the kurta-pyjama she forced him to wear.
But the moment he sees her glowing in that beautiful anarkali suit, bangles chiming softly, dupatta fluttering his expression melts.
she both joins her hands, move toward the Shivling, and kneel.
Ashiana hand him the kalash of jal.
He gives a small smirk.
"Together?" he murmurs.
she nod, smiling softly.
Both of them lean forward and pour the water slowly over the Shivling.
Cold droplets splash lightly temple bells ring, priests chant mantras and the two of them... without even realising... are smiling at each other more than at anything else.
Aarav whispers in her ear, voice low but warm:
"Next time, if wearing kurta gives me this view of you... I'll wear it every day."
He brushes his fingers against hers as they both fold their hands to pray.
Ashiana's heart does a soft flip.
Ashiana close her eyes, hands folded, head bowed gently before the Shivling...
Temple bells echo softly, and her thoughts spill out like a whispered confession only Mahadev can hear.
"Hey Bhagwaan...
Mene aapko har dukh, har sukh, har pareshani me yaad kiya h.
Aapke alawa mera koi nahi tha...
Par ab aapne mujhe Aarav jaisa itna accha partner diya.
Unki itni pyaari family di...
Thank you... truly."
("Dear God... I have remembered You in every sorrow, every joy, every problem. I had no one except You... But now You've given me such a wonderful partner like Aarav. You've given me his loving family too... Thank You... truly.")
A small smile forms on her lips.
Then a tiny adorable pout.
"Bas... ab jaldi se kuch aisa kardo ki Aarav mujhe shaadi ke liye propose karde...
Aur main jaldi se inki wife ban jaun.
I want to become Ashiana Aarav Malhotra... please Bhagwanji... pleaseeee..."
("Now... please do something soon so that Aarav proposes to me for marriage...
And I can quickly become his wife.
I want to become Ashiana Aarav Malhotra... please God... pleasseee...")
Ashiana's eyelashes flutter open slowly.
beside her
Aarav, standing right beside her with folded hands, is praying too.
He keeps glancing at her from the corner of his eyes, his chest softening.
"Mahadev...
Ashiana meri zindagi ka ek important hissa ban gyi h , mujhe himmat dijiye usse hamesha ke liye maangne ka.
Uska dhyan rakho...
Usse khush rakho...
Aur usee kabhi mujhse door mat karna."
("Mahadev...Ashiana has become an important part of my life, give me the courage to ask for her forever. Take care of her... Keep her happy... And never let her go away from me.")
He takes a quiet breath... and in his heart adds:
"I am gonaa propose her Please help me propose to her...."
When you both finish and straighten up, he looks at her really looks her
like she is the answer to his prayer.
The air suddenly shifts.
The temple bells quiet.
Ashiana's dupatta flutters lightly as the morning breeze brushes past.
she turn to walk toward the exit
But Aarav... stops.
He just stands there, staring at her with something intense, something final.
And then
He bends down.
Right there.
On his knees.
At the feet of Mahadev.
As if bowing... and proposing... both at once.
People around gasp softly.
Pujaris pause.
Even the diya flames seem to still.
Aarav looks up at Ashiana with eyes overflowing with devotion not just for God,
but for her.
His voice is low... deep... steady.
"Ashiana..."
He raises his hands, in air between them asoffering Ashiana his entire life.
"Mahadev ke saamne...
Unki sakshi me...
Main tumhe apni patni banana chahta hoon.
Will you marry me?"
("In front of Mahadev... In His witness... I want to make you my wife. Will you marry me?")
Ashiana breath catches.
Ashiana look at him
her Aarav, in traditional kurta pyjama...
kneeling on the cold temple marble...
his eyes shining with a rare vulnerability.
The bells starts ringing as if the gods themselves are blessing this moment.
He continues, voice trembling with emotion:
"Ashiana mene sirf tumse aur sirf tumse hi pyaar kiya h,
Mei har janam mei bas tumhe hi chahta hu,
aur chahta hu ki tum meri ban jao puri tarah se..
bolo Ashiana kya tum mujhse shadi karogi"
("Ashiana, I have loved only you and only you... In every lifetime, I have wanted only you... And I want you to become mine completely... Tell me, Ashiana... will you marry me?")
People around are smiling, whispering blessings.
Ashiana's own eyes fill with tears.
her heart screams
Ashiana's voice comes out broken, trembling with joy
"Yes, Aarav... yesss...!"
she can't even control her tears anymore. They fall freely, beautifully, as she bent down too, matching him.
mirroring him.
as if her souls take the same shape.
her fingers shake when she place her hand in his.
"Han Aarav, Main... aapki Ashiana banna chahti hu, Aarav..."
he lips quiver, her heart pounding so loudly she can hear it.
"Puri tarah se... sirf aapki."
("Yes, Aarav... I want to become yours, Aarav...Completely... only yours.")
The moment her hand touches his, Aarav's breath releases as if he's been holding it forever.
He holds her hand with both of his, tight... reverent... trembling.
His eyes close for a second, a silent prayer of gratitude escaping him.
The pundit smiles,
people around softly clap,
the temple bell rings as if the universe seals their words.
Aarav looks at her with raw emotion:
"From today...
From this very moment...
You're mine, Ashiana.
Completely... officially... truly."
He slowly, still holding her hand, pressing her knuckles to his forehead gesture only a man hopelessly in love would do.
Then he whispers near his ear, voice rough:
"Welcome to forever, meri Ashiana Aarav Malhotra."
Ashiana blush so intensely her cheeks feel like burning coal.
Still holding Aarav's hand, they both bend together foreheads touching the cool marble before the Shivling.
The temple bells ring softly in the background.
And then
flutter
a fresh white flower drops directly on both of their heads.
Before they can even react, a soft red chunri of Parvati Mata rich, vibrant slips from the top of the mandir and lands gently over both of them,
covering their heads together,
tying them into a single blessing.
Gasps echo around the temple.
Aarav freezes for a momentthen slowly looks at her under the chunri,
eyes full of devotion and disbelief.
Ashiana can barely breathe.
The priest steps closer, smiling knowingly.
"Bacho" he says warmly,
"Ye bhagwan ka sanket hai."
He joins his hands.
"Shiv–Parvati ki kripa tum dono par bani rahegi. Auriss chunri ka girna...
bahut shubh hota hai."
("The blessings of Shiv and Parvati will always remain upon both of you. And the falling of this veil... is considered very auspicious.")
People murmur in awe.
The priest continues:
"Iska arth hai ki Parvati Mata ne tumhe apna ashirwaad de diya.Tum dono ka upar... khud bhagwaan ka ashirwaad h .
yeh rishta ye jodi hamesha bani rahgi... aap dono shiv parvati ji ki tarah apni zindagi m ane wali har mushkilo aur toofano se saath m ladoge...
hamesha ek doosre ka saath doge aur tumhara pyaar is rishte ko aur bhi mazboot aur sundar bnaa dega, Aur Shiv-Parvati ji ki tarah tum bhi ek doose ko poora karoge."
("It means that Goddess Parvati has blessed you. Both of you have the blessings of the divine above.
This bond, this union, will always remain... Like Shiv and Parvati, you will face every difficulty and storm in life together...
You will always stand by each other, and your love will make this relationship even stronger and more beautiful. And just like Shiv and Parvati, you will also complete one another.")
Aarav tightens his grip on her hand gently, emotion filling his eyes.
