23. Kyan
Chapter 23
Kyan
The playdate was well and truly back up and running by the time that a sore-bottomed Reece rejoined Kyan and Benjamin. The three of them decided to take their stuffies downstairs and have fun in Matteo’s rather grand living room, and the subject of Reece’s spanking came up sooner rather than later as the three friends gathered on the large, antique Persian rug in the center of the room…
‘Sure you can sit down?’ Benjamin asked, giggling as he noticed Reece’s somewhat ginger squat down to the floor.
‘Yes, I’m sure,’ Reece said, blushing. ‘Faustino made sure I was fine after he was done. And even though I can still feel my cheeks glowing, the cooling gel did its job.’
‘I’m actually jealous!’ Benjamin admitted. ‘Faustino’s hot. And there’s something about those brooding eyes that tells me he doesn’t hold back when it comes to spanky-spanky time.’
‘Hush, Benjamin, he might hear you,’ Kyan said, craning his neck and trying to catch a glimpse of Faustino as he padded along the corridor and in the direction of the kitchen. ‘If he tells my Daddy that we were gossiping, it might mean a sore butt for me too.’
The three friends exchanged a look between them and fell about laughing.
While Kyan was still very much worried about his Daddy, it felt so comforting to be amongst friends. The fact that Faustino, who was soon to be joined by Michael, was there to guard them was great too. But mainly, Kyan felt reassured by the presence of his Little friends. Together, the three of them had the kind of bond that only Littles could have with one another. It might have been tricky to explain to someone from outside of the lifestyle, but when you’ve had your diaper changed on the mat at the same time as your BFF, it’s kind of a lifelong connection…
‘You’re still worried about your Daddy, aren’t you?’ Reece asked, keen to move the subject along from his punishment under Faustino’s large, flat hand.
‘Yeah, I am,’ Kyan said, doing his best to put a brave face on things. ‘It just feels like every minute he’s not here, he might be getting himself into more and more danger. And it’s all because of me.’
‘No, that’s not right,’ Benjamin said. ‘You’ve got a Daddy who’s going to protect you, keep you safe, and make sure that no one ever hurts you. He’s your Daddy, he feels this in his bones. Keeping you safe is what he was born to do.’
‘Benjamin’s right,’ Reece said. ‘Matteo will be back before we know it. And the two of you can live your best lives for ever and ever and ever.’
Kyan could feel a swell of emotion rising inside him. He knew that his friends were speaking from the heart and only had his best interests in mind. Kyan couldn’t help but feel guilty that his arrival in Matteo’s world had caused so much trouble, but on the other hand he couldn’t even imagine what might have happened had it not been Matteo that was sent to kill him on that fateful day.
I’ve got the best Daddy
I’m a lucky boy.
I just hope my luck doesn’t run out…
‘Okay so let’s get this stuffie hide and go seek game started,’ Kyan declared, snapping himself out of his thoughts. ‘We’ve been talking way too much about me and my silly situations. Our super-cute friends will be feeling left out. You two hide your stuffies somewhere in this room while Gambit and I count to ten.’
‘Hooray!’ Benjamin said, snuggling his neon green squirrel stuffie. ‘Come on, Tricksy, let’s hide.’
‘You’re never going to find Squirt,’ Reece squealed in delight, his little red dragon looking as cute as ever as he flew him over his head.
‘Guys, I’m up to four already, you’d better get moving!’ Kyan laughed, covering his eyes with his hands. ‘And just so you know, Gambit has never lost a game of hide and go seek.’
With much merriment in the room, the three Littles began their game.
But what they didn’t realize was that there was a far more dangerous game being played by the Fendi clan – and it was getting dangerously close to involving them too…
‘Faustino, no fair!’ Kyan called out, frustrated that he and Gambit had lost yet another game. ‘Michael! My friends are cheating!’
Kyan stomped his foot and walked into the kitchen to fetch Faustino – who had been joined by Michael too as they were due to switch guarding duties.
‘ Hmmm , I’m sure they’re not really cheating,’ Faustino replied, sharing a knowing look with Michael as the two Fendi Daddies walked with Kyan back into the grand living room to find both Benjamin and Reece shuffling behind the ruby-red curtains.
‘We weren’t cheating,’ Benjamin said, his voice sounding muffled from behind the heavy, thick curtains.
‘No, we’re just too good at hiding!’ Reece added, a giggle at the end of his sentence as he poked his head out from behind the curtain.
‘Ha! Got you!’ Kyan squealed in mischievous joy. ‘I tricked you to reveal your positions!’
The three Littles burst into laughter, much to Faustino and Michael’s amusement.
‘Well, I think that clears that matter up,’ Faustino said, shaking his head.
‘Coffee?’ Michael asked, arching his eyebrow. ‘I’ll make you an espresso before you head out for the night.’
‘Capital idea,’ Faustino said, taking his cell phone out of his pocket. ‘One second.’
‘Everything okay?’ Michael enquired, the concern in his voice drawing Kyan’s attention.
‘Is it Daddy? Tell me that Matteo is okay,’ Kyan pleaded, a sense of panic bubbling up inside him as he looked at the grave expression on Faustino’s face as he studied his cell phone.
‘Everyone. Out of this room. Right this fucking second,’ Faustino bellowed. ‘Move!’
With that, Faustino and Michael grabbed the three Littles and hurried them out of the living room. Kyan’s heart was thumping inside his chest. Something was up – and it was evidently a very real and dangerous turn of events.
‘Lights off. Michael, all lights off downstairs. Now,’ Faustino said. ‘We’ve got a direct threat inbound.’
Kyan let out a cry of pure fear as he, Reece, and Benjamin huddled together around Faustino.
‘W-w-w-w-what’s happening?’ Benjamin asked, panicking as his eyes filled with tears.
‘Quiet,’ Faustino barked, his voice gruff and full of urgency. ‘Boys, stay low and get yourself into the kitchen.’
But before Kyan and his friends could go anywhere, there was a sustained, incredibly loud sound thundering outside the house.
‘Direct fire,’ Michael said. ‘Boys, with me.’
The boys scurried toward Michael and huddled around his legs. The loud, heavy sound continued outside. Kyan knew that Matteo’s windows were bullet proof, but that was of little comfort in that moment. He could tell from Michael and Faustino’s reaction that they were far from safe.
Matteo’s house was under siege. And as the bullets continued to rip, Kyan began to cry. Kyan needed his Daddy, and he needed him right that second…
