Chapter Eleven
Abigail didn’t know how she was supposed to concentrate on work with a plug up her ass, and the promise that if she kept it there, he was going to have a lot of fun with her tonight. This was close to torture, and she had a feeling Roman enjoyed it. Each time she moved, she felt it in her ass.
He’d call her into his office, and she had a feeling she was blushing all over. She hoped no one else noticed, and to any onlooker, she just appeared frazzled. At least, that was what she hoped.
Roman had a sudden meeting and she was alone in the office with Angel. She’d already played ball with Angel for a good twenty minutes, and she’d gone to sleep in her bed in Roman’s office.
She stood next to her desk and couldn’t help but think about this morning. Roman had told her it would be a lot of fun, and she couldn’t help but admit it was a lot of fun. A part of her was apprehensive as well. This was all new to her.
Every single part of her felt on edge, for so many different reasons. Arousal consumed her. She couldn’t stop thinking about Roman’s hands and how good they had felt all over her body, and she wanted them on her again.
There was also another part of her that wanted to tell him how she felt, but she was also afraid that admitting her feelings might scare him off. Men didn’t like to be told they were loved, did they? She didn’t have all the answers.
Right now, with a butt plug up her ass, she couldn’t exactly think straight. Her mind was on sex and Roman. He had an afternoon filled with appointments, none of which he had asked to be pushed back, so she had no choice but to live with this until they were alone tonight.
By lunchtime, she had been able to focus, and as the elevator doors pinged open, she looked up, hoping to see Roman. Only, she was surprised to see Brad, her ex.
Getting to her feet, the butt plug was forgotten about. Seeing her ex was like a bucket of ice water being thrown over her.
“What are you doing here?” Abigail said, getting to her feet.
Roman didn’t associate with Brad’s law firm. There was a time they did do business together, but Roman never dealt with Brad. There was no reason for him to be here.
“You don’t have an appointment,” she said, checking through the diary.
“I came to see you,” Brad said.
She frowned. “How did you get up here?”
Usually, the front desk had to alert her to visitors coming to the top floor, so she could prepare Roman.
Brad smiled. “I politely asked the young woman on the front desk not to alert you.”
Abigail shook her head. “You have no right being here.”
“I need to talk to you. You’re not returning any of my calls.” She had changed her cell phone number as well as her apartment’s, when they broke up. The locks had also been changed on her apartment. She didn’t peg Brad as the stalker type, but she preferred to be safe than sorry.
“I don’t want to talk to you.” She folded her arms across her chest.
Brad ran fingers through his hair and looked at her. “Look, I know I fucked up with everything, but it’s not like you’re a saint either. You’re fucking your boss, so we both know we made mistakes.”
Abigail, at first, couldn’t believe what she had heard. She looked at Brad, and he was being serious.
“Are you kidding me right now?” she asked. “You’re seriously going to say we were both in the wrong?”
“You’re fucking your boss!”
“Long after I ended things with you! Nothing happened between Roman and I until you were long out of the picture, and trust me, I was over you.” She thrust her hands out to the side.
“You were the one cheating on me, and I know your little secretary at work was not the only one.” She glared at him. “Do you take me for a fool?”
“I messed up and I know that, but you have to look at it from my perspective. You were ... getting promotion after promotion, and you moved into that nice apartment. I was struggling to make ends meet, and I couldn’t impress the partners.”
She rolled her eyes. It was always the same excuses. “You were more interested in chasing other women than you were cases, Brad. I’m not an idiot.”
He let out a growl. “Do you even know why you came home early that day?”
She didn’t want to hear this. His excuses were exhausting. “I wasn’t feeling well that day.”
“Roman set me up. Your boss planned this whole thing,” Brad said. “He made sure you would be home so you would catch me.”
Abigail looked at him, and then she burst out laughing.
“Wow,” she said. “Seriously, you would rather blame my boss for setting you up. You’re telling me right now that my boss held your dick and actually put it into your secretary as well as all the other women you were fucking at the time. Is that what you’re trying to tell me?”
Brad had gone red in the face.
“I’ve heard enough of your crap, Brad. I don’t know what you were hoping for today, but I’m not buying it, and you need to leave.” She pointed her finger toward the elevator.
At the same time, Roman stepped off. She watched him, and the moment he saw Brad, she watched how he tensed up.
“I was told you had forced your way into this building,” Roman said. “Security is on the way up.”
“Forced his way in?” Abigail asked.
“Yes, the new girl on the front desk wouldn’t succumb to his flirting, and he hit her hard and got access to the elevator.”
Abigail turned toward Brad. “Are you insane?” she asked. “Assaulting a woman, just so you can come and lie to me—”
“It’s not a lie. He fucking manipulated everything. We’d still be together if it wasn’t for his shit!” Brad turned toward Roman, and she saw the look of pure hatred. She had never seen him act like this before. “Why don’t you just admit it?” Brad yelled.
“He’s right,” Roman said.
This surprised her, as she looked toward Roman. “What?”
“I was aware he was cheating on you, but I didn’t want to be the one to break the bad news.
He was making you miserable. Refused to support you.
I saw the way you came in every single day, and you looked exhausted.
He didn’t see what I did—a smart, beautiful, amazing woman who deserved a man who loved her, and that’s how I feel, Abi.
This is not just a fling for me. This is love.
I’m in love with you, I have been since that moment on the elevator. ”
“Are you seriously going to admit you messed up her whole life? That you lied to her?”
“He didn’t lie to me,” Abigail said, turning toward Brad. “I was never in love with you, Brad. Things moved way too fast, but I could never seem to tell you I didn’t want to be with you. I figured I was the one getting cold feet.”
“You’re happy?” Brad asked.
“Yeah, I am, and what Roman did doesn’t change anything. You still cheated on me, and we both know it’s not the first time you did. You don’t know how to keep it in your pants.”
The elevator doors pinged open, and seconds later, Security stepped onto the floor. There was also a police officer with them. Abigail stepped away from Brad and moved toward Roman.
The woman on the front desk wanted to press charges. Abigail just wanted Brad out of her life.

Roman took Abigail and Angel home. There was no way they were going to be able to work the rest of the afternoon. They didn’t speak as they took Angel for a quick walk before heading up to his penthouse apartment in his building.
Abigail hadn’t said much to him, and he was waiting for her to freak out, be upset, or angry. They walked into his apartment, and he kissed the scruff of Angel’s neck and placed her on the floor as she trotted off to go and play.
Abigail stood in the main hallway, and then she turned away. With a hand on her hip and the other in the air, she looked at him.
“You love me?” she asked.
Of all of the things she could have said, that was not what he expected.
“Yes, I’m in love with you, and I have been for a very long time.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?”
“You were with Brad, and you didn’t look happy.” Roman frowned. “What are you pissed about?”
Abigail smiled and walked toward him. “I’m not pissed about anything. Why do you think I am?”
“With everything that happened.”
She put her hands on his chest and stroked her fingers across his heart.
“My life with Brad was miserable. I knew he was cheating on me, but I just couldn’t figure out how to prove it, and he always had so many reasons.
I was stuck. It did suck to see him cheating, but that was more my pride than anything else.
I’m not angry about you giving me the chance to find out he was cheating.
I’m not angry about anything. How could I be? You love me and I love you.”
Roman stared at her for just a second, then he reached out, cupped her face, and kissed her.
She moaned. He groaned and started to move her back.
Sliding his hands around to her back and moving them toward her ass, he picked her up in his arms, and she circled her legs around his waist. Carrying her through to the bedroom, he eased her onto the bed and removed her jacket.
It was a fight between the two of them to get each other naked, and the moment they were, he couldn’t resist cupping her nice, large tits and pressing his face against them.
He took one nipple into his mouth, followed by the other, biting down, and she cried out, arching up against him.
He didn’t want to let her go. Roman moved to the other nipple, loving the sweet sounds she made, before he kissed down her body, going toward her pussy, and he spread her legs wide, taking her clit into his mouth.
Sinking his hands under her ass, he cupped the tender flesh and rubbed his face against her cunt. He slid his tongue back and forth across her clit, working her up into a fever, and then gliding down to penetrate her sweet pussy.
