Rorax puked in the toilet. Barely making it to her room, she hurled everything that she’d eaten for dinner that night straight into the ceramic bowl. Ayres Sumavari’s blood was now linked to hers, controlling hers, and she was going to kill him for it. Slaughter him in cold blood.

She was sick and tired of other people’s blood controlling her.

Rorax would be tied to Ayres until he relented, pulled the magick back and severed the connection. She instinctively wanted to take a blade to her arm and shred the skin there until every drop of his was out of her system. But she knew it didn’t work like that, which was a damned shame.
