CHAPTER 30

E lisa was frozen in place. She couldn’t hear what Myra was saying, but she could tell that she was talking because she saw Myra’s lips move out of the corner of her eye.

Elisa herself was staring at the wall behind the bed over Myra’s head, though, because her son had just walked in on her having sex.

He’d seen her with Myra in bed. He’d seen them both naked and had probably heard them, too.

No, he hadn’t really seen anything. Elisa’s back was facing the door.

She was covering Myra. At most, he probably saw her ass.

He couldn’t see the dildo inside her, could he? God, she hoped not.

“Elisa?”

“Huh?” she said as Myra’s voice came back into focus.

“Babe, what do you want to do?”

Myra’s hands were running over her back, and she wondered how long Myra had been doing that because Elisa had only just realized that she was .

“I have to go,” she said. “I need to find him.”

“Of course. I’ll go home,” Myra replied.

“Um…”

Was that right? Should Myra leave? Should they talk to him together?

No, Elisa should talk to him alone, obviously.

But maybe Myra should stay and wait for her to be done so that they could talk to him together?

No, Elisa needed to be alone with her son right now.

He probably wouldn’t want to see the woman whom his mom was just having sex with anyway.

“Okay,” she said.

She looked down, seeing the dildo still inside her, and remembered the perfect orgasm they’d just shared and how unbelievably good it was; how it had been exactly what she had needed, and how the whole night before that had been exactly what she had needed.

Elisa wanted to try everything with Myra.

She hadn’t wanted to hold back or take her time to get to certain things.

If Myra was up for it, Elisa wanted them to do it together as soon as possible to find out what they both liked together.

Unfortunately, their morning, which had been perfect up until a minute ago, had to come to an end.

Elisa got up and felt the loss of Myra inside her immediately, hating that this had to stop because she’d woken up needing to come, and after the first one, she had hoped they would go for number two together.

That would have to wait now because as she dressed quickly, Myra removed the harness and went into the bathroom, where Elisa heard the water running.

She didn’t have time to kiss Myra goodbye because Archie was probably in his room, and they needed to talk and now.

“Babe, I’ll see you later,” she said.

“Okay,” Myra replied from the bathroom.

Elisa opened the bedroom door and found Buster sitting right outside it.

“Hi, little guy. I’ll be right with you, okay?”

Buster didn’t really seem to need anything at the moment, which was probably because she’d woken up an hour before Myra and had let him out to take care of his bladder.

She’d done that purposefully, knowing that she didn’t want any interruptions for them that morning.

Unfortunately, she hadn’t anticipated another one that was much worse than a dog needing to go to the bathroom.

“Honey?” she asked as she knocked on AJ’s closed door.

“Go away!” he yelled through it.

“No, I won’t go away. We need to talk.”

“Mom, just go. I’m going back to Dad’s.”

Elisa pushed open the door and walked inside, closing it behind her.

“Archie, we need to talk about this.”

“You were…” He pointed.

“Yes, I was,” she replied, trying not to be embarrassed by the fact that her son had seen her afterglow. “I’m an adult, Archie.”

“You’re my mom,” he said .

“Yes. And how do you think you got here?” she asked.

“Gross, Mom. I don’t want to think about you and Dad having sex,” he said as he shoved his unfolded clothes into his duffel bag.

“What are you doing here, Archie? I thought you were at your dad’s.”

“So, that’s what this is about? You’re mad at me ?”

“I’m not mad at you, honey,” she replied.

“I interrupted you. You were obviously pretty busy and probably enjoying the fact that Adele and I wanted to be at Dad’s until school starts so you can do more of… that with the neighbor.”

“Hey, I know you’re upset, but you are an adult now.

We are going to talk about this like two adults, and you’re not going to yell at me, AJ,” she stated.

“Now, Myra and I are a couple. She’s not just our neighbor; we’re together.

I should have told you about that, but with everything going on right now, I wanted to wait until it was official.

We’ve decided that we’re together now, not just dating, and I would’ve told you the next time I saw you and your sister.

As for you and your sister staying with your dad until school – no, I didn’t want that.

I want you both here with me. I want you here on your school breaks.

I’ve made that pretty clear, but I’ve also been pretty understanding of the fact that you and your sister want to spend time with your friends.

I’ve not had a problem with you coming and going as you please or that you’re here right now, Arch.

I just didn’t expect you to be back so soon.

And yes, you caught me in a moment there with Myra because I didn’t know you were coming home.

Had I known, I wouldn’t have had Myra stay over until you and I had a chance to talk. ”

“I heard you yelling,” he said as he continued to pack. “You screamed, and I thought someone was hurting you.”

“Oh, baby,” she said and took a step toward him, but he wasn’t ready for that, so he took a few quick steps back. “I’m so sorry you got scared.”

“You were here alone, I thought, so I thought someone got in and was… ”

Elisa swallowed hard and said, “I’m sorry you heard that.”

“Me too. Now, I know what I heard, but still.”

She didn’t want to laugh, so she bit her lower lip because her son was blushing. This whole conversation wasn’t something she could’ve ever practiced for, and she silently prayed that she was handling it well and not causing him any permanent damage.

“Archie, what you heard was an expression of love,” she said. “It’s not anything to be embarrassed about.”

“Love? You just met her.”

“I know,” she said, sitting on his bed. “I didn’t mean it like that. I just meant that you heard me and saw me with someone I really care about, someone who’s so good to me.”

“Mom!”

“I don’t mean like that,” she replied. “I mean in general. Myra is a good person, and I really care about her. I know we talked about me being gay when I left your father, but this is you seeing it. I know that that’s different.”

“And hearing it,” he added.

“Yes. I’m sorry that you saw and heard what you did, but I won’t apologize for being with Myra.”

“Mom, I don’t know. I don’t know if I can…”

“If you can, what?” she asked.

“Like see you with someone,” he replied.

“With someone or with a woman?”

“With anyone. You’re supposed to be with Dad. He still loves you.”

“Oh, honey,” she said, patting the bed beside her, but Archie didn’t sit. “Your father doesn’t love me how you think he does.”

“Yes, he does. Why do you think he wants you back at the guest house?”

“Because your father is upset.”

“Upset?”

She didn’t know what to say because she didn’t want to make Archie think anything bad about his father, but he was an adult now, and she had to at least start treating him like one.

“Honey, your dad wants me there because he’s upset that I left, but not because he loves me how a husband loves a wife.

He liked having me there to take care of the two of you and to cook and clean the house.

He liked that I was always at home even when he wasn’t.

He likes control. Your father loves you; I don’t want you to think otherwise.

But he doesn’t love me. Maybe he did in the beginning, but not for a very long time. ”

“Is this because of the women he brings home?”

“No, baby. He’s a single man. He’s allowed to date.” Elisa sighed. “And so am I.”

“But does it have to be a woman?” he asked, zipping his bag.

“Yes,” she said.

“So, you’re really just gay now? I thought you’d go back to Dad or that you’d just said that to make it final or something; that you just told him you couldn’t be with him because of that, but eventually, you’d find some other guy.”

“Archie, I’m gay, and I’ve always been gay. I didn’t have the courage to admit it to myself before you and your sister got here, and then I wanted what was best for you both, and I thought that meant staying with your father and giving you a family and a father.”

“This is why Adele is what she is, isn’t it?” he asked.

“What?”

“It’s why she’s suddenly gay, too, now. She really hurt Tucker.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Oh, just that your daughter, my sister , is dating the girl I like.”

“ That’s why you’re back,” she said, realizing it in that moment why he was more upset than usual.

“I came back to talk to you because Adele and Wendy went out, and I saw them kissing at the movies. They were just standing in the parking lot, making out like no one could see, but I was there with Tucker, and he was, like, really upset, Mom. I thought he might cry or something, and I took him home, but she was kissing Wendy.”

“Archie, your sister will talk to you about that.”

“She already did. She told me that she likes her and that they’re dating now.”

“Okay. Well, I’m glad she told you.”

“Of course, you knew,” he replied. “Fuck. I mean, of course.”
