CHAPTER ELEVEN

AURYN

Fuck, yes. That was the good stuff.

I fell back against the couch, closing my eyes as I savored that first hit of blow. Part of my after school routine. Dom sat next to me rolling a joint. I was surprised to see him without Noah attached at the hip. Those two didn’t spend much time apart these days.

After my last class of the day, I’d waited outside Ripley’s classroom. Once she emerged, I walked her to her car in the parking lot. Somehow, I’d resisted the urge to follow her home. I’d put on a little show for Jamie, making sure he saw me blatantly claim her. Still, it didn’t feel like enough.

I wondered if she was working tonight. Should I swing by? Would she want me to?

Next to me Dominik lit up the joint, taking a large toke before passing it to me. He bumped me with a hand, making me open my eyes.

“Where’s Noah?” I tucked the joint between my lips. “I’m surprised the two of you aren’t hanging all over each other like usual.”

“He’s spending some time with Damon tonight. I think he’s finally starting to embrace this whole becoming one of us thing.” Dom scratched his lightly stubbled chin before raking a hand through his dark hair. He fell back against the couch on the opposite side, sprawling out.

Damon Price and his best friend Noah Cunningham had recently joined the Graveyard Kings.

A move that not all of us had been for, although circumstances had forced the issue.

I’d been surprised when Rebel wanted to bring them on board.

The two of them, along with their friends River and Colt, had been a constant pain in our asses for a long time. Of course River and Colt were dead now.

I suspected Rebel’s interest in recruiting Noah and Damon had been encouraged by Noah’s relationship with Dom. However, I knew my best friend well, and I knew that Rebel was most likely trying to keep them close and under his control.

“That’s good.” I filled my lungs with smoke before passing the joint back to Dom. “Better with us than against us.”

“What about you?” he smirked. “Why aren’t you with your girlfriend?”

“Very funny.” I leaned forward to snort another line of coke off the tray on the table. “You know she’s not really my girlfriend. Might want to use air quotes next time.”

“Yeah right. Since when have you ever worked this hard to keep another guy away from a girl? I’ve never known you to care before.” Dom puffed out a plume of smoke that drifted lazily above our heads. He eyed me with this knowing look. Like he knew something I didn’t.

I shot him a glare. “I do not appreciate that look you’re giving me, sir. Do advert your gaze.”

His laughter only antagonized me further. “What look? You mean the look of amusement at finally seeing you get yours? We’ve taken more than enough shit from you over the last year. It’s about time we get to dish it.”

“Joke’s on you,” I quipped. “There’s nothing to see here. Just helping out a potential fuck buddy. Doesn’t hurt to have a steady fling in the works. My dick talks, and I listen.”

Dom pulled out his phone, holding it up in front of me.

“Hold on. Let me start recording, then you can say that again. I want to get this on video so I can play it back endlessly when you have to eat your words. You’ve never had a fuck buddy or a steady fling, dude.

You’re a one and done kind of guy. Ripley must really be something if you want to go back for more. ”

I shoved his phone away, muttering obscenities beneath my breath. Right then my own phone went off with a text message. I snatched it up from where it sat on the coffee table. My brow furrowed at the name on the screen. Olivia. Did I know an Olivia?

I opened the text to find a photo of a naked brunette pushing her tits toward the camera. Oh right. Olivia. There was a message along with the photo.

I’m still thinking about our night together. My roommate will be out late. Why don’t you come by so I can suck your huge cock? Then you can have me any way you want me.

The photo didn’t really do much for me. Vaguely I remembered the drunken night I’d shared with her a month or so ago after a graveyard party. One glance at Dom’s smirking face was all I needed to reply.

Send me the address. I’m on my way.

Shoving my phone with the naked photo at Dom, I said, “What were you saying? If all I wanted was Ripley, would I be heading over to hit this right now?”

As I stood up, I shoved my phone into my jeans pocket. Snatching up my keys from the small table near the door, I was out of the house before he could hit me with a snarky reply.

During the drive over to Olivia’s apartment, I did my best to remember our night together.

The memory was hazy. She blurred together with several other women.

I figured we must have had a good time together if she was messaging me for more.

Funny how the night I’d spent with Ripley stood out in startling clarity in comparison.

Not that it meant anything. I guess I wasn’t as wasted that night. Again I wondered if she was working tonight. Would Jamie try showing up again? I hoped he’d learned his lesson. One could never be sure though.

I went through the motions as I pulled up in front of Olivia’s building. Entering the lobby, getting buzzed inside. Finding my way up to her apartment on the fourth floor. One foot in front of the other so I wouldn’t stop to ask myself what the hell I was doing.

She opened the door, wearing a sheer see-through robe and nothing else. Beckoning me into the apartment before closing the door behind me. Her dark hair was loose, her face heavily made up. I’d barely entered when she threw her arms around me, pulling me in for a kiss.

“I’ve been missing this,” she whispered against my lips before mashing hers against mine.

I froze for a moment, unable to bring myself to kiss her back. She didn’t seem to notice. Taking my hand, Olivia dragged me into the living room. She shoved me down onto the couch before climbing onto my lap.

Having an almost naked woman on my lap usually got my cock’s attention. For some reason, it didn’t give a shit. Refusing to react.

“I can’t wait to make you feel good, baby,” she said in a voice that was meant to be sultry but came out as irritating instead.

Olivia’s hands were all over me. Rubbing along my chest and abs. I thought about the scratches on my back from Ripley. Olivia’s touch didn’t even compare.

She went in for another kiss, and I turned my head to avoid contact. “Let’s not waste any time. Get on your knees and suck my cock.”

Her eyes lit up in delight at my command. “Anything you want, baby.”

Every time she called me that, I found myself gritting my teeth. Something about it set me off, making me recoil. I watched her slide off my lap and onto the floor in front of me. Once my cock got involved, I should be able to tune out everything else.

Olivia’s hands groped me through my jeans before undoing my belt. Still nothing. All right then. When she pulled out my limp cock, I glanced down in dismay. What the fuck was this all about?

Not willing to give up yet, she vigorously stroked me with a hand, doing her best to bring me back to life. I hated everything about it. Her sloppy technique. Her forced enthusiasm. What were we even doing here?

She was nothing like Ripley who’d been hungry for me in every way. Choking on my rock hard cock until tears sprang into her eyes. I remembered the way they rolled down the side of her face to the bed. Fuck that was hot.

At the thought of her, I began to grow hard. Olivia made a noise, like she was pleased with herself. This really had nothing to do with her at all. I couldn’t do this.

Gently pushing her away, I stood up, tucking my dick back into my pants. “I’m sorry. I can’t do this.”

“What are you talking about?” She gaped up at me from where she still knelt on the floor. “What do you mean?”

“I have something else going on. I really shouldn’t have come here. Sorry for the confusion.” Unable to answer any more questions, I bolted for the door, letting myself out without a glance back.

I didn’t know who I was right now. The me I knew would have happily enjoyed a blow job before bending Olivia over the couch. For some reason, the thought of doing that didn’t appeal to me. All I wanted was to get the hell out of there.

Back inside my car, I sat there for a minute. It didn’t mean anything, right? I simply wasn’t into Olivia. Just because we had a one-time hook up didn’t mean I was into her. Clearly I wasn’t. Not every female with a pulse got my attention. So I wasn’t interested. No big deal.

I started the car, firing up some loud aggressive music for the drive home. Something that matched my current mood. When I passed the turn off that would lead me to the restaurant where Ripley worked, I found myself justifying the need to swing by and check if her car was outside.

Fuck me.
