Epilogue
Back in Alaska, business was booming.
Tyne was opening another officeoffice, and the field manager was
Reid. He wasn’t sure why Tyne had picked him with so many good,
well trained personnel already available. Wilde just down the road
from the small community that was within throwing distance of
Anchorage. This would eventually be one of his main offices,
especially as far as Alaska was concerned.
He'd just met Duroc and Bindi when
he’d arrived and had wondered why they’d left but had heard they
were now the alpha pair in a large and now prosperous pack. Another
one of Tyne’s best guys discovered his long lost father was a pack
alpha in that same part of the country. Maybe it was something in
the water?
Reid looked at his partner as she
joined him atin the truck. Olivia was hot! The downside was she was
secretive and never wanted to give out any personal information.
There was a haunted look in her eyes that said she’d been through
hell and fought her way back. Even though he was drawn to her, he
wasn’t sure he could handle all her baggage.
But what would he do if she began to
date someone else and why didn’t he have any interest in the other
females around here? There were several beautiful ones. But none
were like Olivia. She was beautiful and smart.
Back in
Oregon….
The pack was doing well, and their
relationship was inon track. Damon had been excited last time he
spoke to him telling him the next challenge was in the
works.
“You’re quiet. Something Damon said?”
Bindi asked.
“That and someone forgot to tell me
they owned some land on the lake near Ariel.”
“What, do you think it’s a place to
escape you? I’ve been a bit busy you know.”
“You’re right. While we’re talking
about things we’ve not previously discussed, when I was fighting Al
and the other wolf jumped in, I felt a surge of power./ Know
anything about that?”
“Nothing I can be sure of. I wished I
could send power your way and then you seemed to have things taken
care of. Ariel told me that gold wolvesf’s were said to be able to
send energy to others. They also might have telling dreams and be
able to tell if someone is lying. There might be other things. She
thought those things might lead to the fact they are usually
successful at whatever they do.”
“You’re telling me you do have
powers?” Duroc asked.
“According to Aunt Daisy, white, red,
gold, and silver all have some kind of abilities. Black of course
is always alpha.”
“Do you think silver will turn up
eventually?”
“I suspect it may. No one noticed the
color so it may have been overlooked as gray especially if it’s in
a mix of other colors.” Bindi speculated. “There’s something I
wanted to ask you. Do you want to be a dad?”
“What? Of course, I want to be a
dad.”
“You can’t imagine how happy I am to
hear that.”
“Are you saying you are expecting?”
Duroc asked.
“I thought wolves had a better sense
of smell.”
He pulled her into his arms and
breathed deeply. The sweet scent of new life was there mixed in
with her own wonderful aroma.
“We’ll be so happy. I promise we’ll be
a perfect little family.”
All his dreams had been fulfilled and
all his her dreams had now been fulfilled.
