Chapter 16
Hudson
Clearly, the only explanation for what I was experiencing was that I had died in that werewolf attack.
Harrison had murdered me, eaten my heart, and sent me to heaven.
Gay heaven, where my every depraved need was satisfied by two adonic manifestations of carnal lust that just happened to resemble my best friends.
At first, I wasn't sure what either of them meant that night, going on about reverence toward me. I think it clicked somewhere in the middle of getting spit-roasted, though.
I could handle that kind of appreciation. Any time, any place.
Tyler’s baby boy. Emery’s prince. I’d never felt so treasured in all my life.
Or so properly railed.
Sure, they’d fucked me from both ends while I’d been down on all fours like I was nothing but a hole. Never once had I felt used by them, though. Never once did I have reason to think they weren’t there for me, constantly attending to my needs and whims.
I’d been with plenty of guys after leaving Felcove. I hadn’t been lying when I’d told Emery my methods of dealing were rather self-destructive, and I was dreading the day that the topic of body count came up.
But no one had ever made me so thoroughly enjoy the moments that came after coming. I’d thought being sandwiched between the two of them while our post-orgasm highs had descended was euphoric enough, but then we all went upstairs to the massive walk-in shower.
Emery wet my hair, running his giant fingers over my scalp and making my dick twitch again. Tyler noticed and got down on his knees, cleaning every inch of me with his tongue, practically worshiping my cock with his lips.
I sank back into Emery’s arms, letting him hold me upright as he lathered my skin and kissed my neck. When I tried to reach back for Emery’s cock, he rumbled in my ear, “Just let us take care of you.”
That notion alone—my two guys wholly focused on me—nearly had me coming all over again.
Right when I thought I was about to shoot down Tyler’s throat, they swapped places.
Ty held me in his arms from behind while Emery worked my dick, my gorgeous wolf growling and gulping down every last drop when I burst in his mouth.
We finished washing one another, Emery rolling his eyes as I ran my fingers through his chest hair while Tyler made jokes about dog grooming. As if back in high school, Em and Ty tried to whip each other with their towels while I just fought to escape their insanity.
I loved it. Every single second with them made me feel like something was healing. Something other than all the pain of the last four years. Something deep and unknown, reaching far beyond the old bones of that house and into the earth itself.
But maybe that was just me, trying and failing to pretend I wasn’t falling.
I’d always loved Tyler, I couldn’t deny that. And I had always known that if I hadn’t been so concerned about the place Emery’s love came from, I could’ve happily hidden away in the warm shelter he gave so willingly, easily returning his affections.
Both of them at once, though? Neither fighting to keep me all to themselves?
No wonder it had taken magic to show me it was possible.
I knew it wasn't fair of me, leaving them hanging on a maybe. Letting them have their way with me, strung along by a thread of hope that I might stay in Felcove.
Would anywhere in the world be less dangerous for me, though? And if such a place did exist, couldn't I just take them with me?
Couldn't I have this—them—and still feel safe?
Begging for a cozy night outdoors like we used to have together, Emery floated the idea of grilling out on the back porch.
Well, almost like we used to. I expected a lot more kissing and groping than our high school summer hangouts. Even when Tyler and I had been secretly together, he’d never dropped his guard around Grams.
Like he could slip anything past that woman.
After assuring us that he would keep an ear out for intruders, Emery started up the grill.
Tyler got put on firewood duty, because no night outdoors in Michigan was truly complete without a bonfire.
And despite my insistence that I could handle wood just fine—including some really bad puns about our earlier activities—my only job was to conjure up the flames.
While the grill heated, Emery lugged the outdoor sofa off the porch with ease, setting it beside the large stone fire pit near the beach.
Ty hauled a bunch of wood out of dry storage, stacking it in a neat log cabin layout.
I curled up on the sofa beneath a fleece blanket, just studying the delicious flex of his biceps and admiring the way cotton was so perfectly capable of showing off the curve of his ass while he worked.
“And… done,” he said proudly, stepping back to admire the four-log high stack. Shooting me a grin over his shoulder, he waved permissively. “My esteemed Lord of the Flame, if you would.”
“Did you call me a slur?” I deadpanned, getting a snort in reply as I set the logs ablaze with a snap of my fingers.
Ty sighed, trudging over to crawl under the blanket beside me and wrap me in his arms. “Never again.”
“Ty, I was only joking,” I said, kissing his cheek. “Put that melancholy away.”
“I know,” he muttered sadly, shaking his head. “I apologized for what I did, but not for the things I said to you. Can you for—”
“Yes,” I interrupted, laying my head on his shoulder. “It was kind of an all-in-one deal, babe.”
The endearment slipped out before I could stop it. In all the time we’d known one another, I don't think I’d ever called him anything other than his name. With the secrecy of our relationship before I’d left town, it was too risky a habit to fall into, so I’d avoided it entirely.
Even though he’d been whispering baby boy in my ear from the get-go.
He quirked his lips, leaning down and speaking softly. “Did you just call me babe?”
“The Lord of the Flame does as he pleases. Mind your tongue, peasant boy.”
Tyler shook the entire couch with the laugh that came out of him.
Emery braced himself on the railing behind us, grinning from ear to ear, having heard everything with those heightened senses of his.
Honestly, I preferred Em being a part of the healing between Tyler and me.
Our split had hurt him in his own ways, even beyond how I’d left him behind.
I wanted him to know our past wasn’t going to hold us back.
The night sky crept overhead, casting a chill. It was the way bonfires ought to be. A blaze on your face and a nip at your back. Snuggling closer to Tyler to steal his warmth, I whispered, knowing Emery could hear from the porch, “I missed you. Both of you. So much.”
Ty kissed the top of my head, rubbing my shoulder quickly to heat me up. “I know you’re still sorting things out, but… I want you to know I put in my notice at the office today.”
“What?”
“What?” Emery echoed as he trotted down the steps, carrying two plates stacked with hot dogs and burgers, condiment bottles under his arm. “Ty, are you serious?”
“Yep,” Tyler sighed, taking one of the plates and setting it in his lap. “And I don’t want that to make you feel pressured into staying, Hud, but… either way… I don’t want that life anymore.”
“Your dad must be pissed,” Emery said, taking a seat on my other side before chomping off half a hot dog with one bite.
“Oh, he is,” Ty said, staring into the fire. “He’s called about twenty times since I left the office. Not really interested in his take, though.”
“So, what’s next?” Emery asked, squeezing ketchup onto a burger and passing it to me.
“That’s the question, isn’t it?” Tyler shrugged, grabbing a hot dog and covering it with toppings. “Need any help at the garage? I know basic maintenance at least.”
“You’ll need your certs to be a legit employee,” Em said, draping an arm around my shoulders. “But I can help you brush up. And if you need to take off for a few days to howl at the moon or anything, it pays to be sleeping with the boss.” He shot Ty a wink.
“Mmm…” Swallowing my bite, I shifted onto my back, resting my head in Emery’s lap and draping my legs over Tyler’s. “Two beefy mechanics in my bed. What a life.”
“And apparently,” Emery snickered, running his fingers through my hair, “the position has sex appeal.”
“I’ll show you a position with sex appeal,” I said, licking my fingers.
“I will fuck you senseless right here on this couch, little prince,” Emery growled, leaning down over my face.
“I know you would, Fido,” I said, giggling.
“God dammit,” Tyler groaned, shifting his legs beneath mine. “Now I’m hard. You two have already turned me into a monster.”
“Wait till I bite you,” Em chuckled, reaching over to run his thumb along Tyler’s jaw. “You’ll be insatiable.”
Ty’s eyes narrowed as he lolled his head toward Emery. “How insatiable are we talking?”
“Honestly, I’ll probably have to keep you away from Hudson during the full moon for a little while,” Em said, giving him an apologetic purse of his lips.
“What?” I said, sitting upright. “No, Em. He won’t hurt me.”
“Hud,” Emery whispered, shaking his head as he cupped my cheek.
“Ty and I… we’re both already…” He took a pause, chewing his cheek.
“We’re drawn to you. Your scent is something that resonates with us, even if Tyler is still human.
Fully shifted, all of that gets heightened. Nothing but instinct and need.”
“So?” A pout crossed my lips. I’d never actually seen Emery fully transformed before. It was something I’d always wanted to witness, but it seemed so private to him. I thought now that we were something, he might share that with me.
“I think what Em’s saying is…” Tyler said, lacing his fingers into mine. “...that if we tried something like what we did in the parlor today during a full moon, while I still don’t have any control…”
My eyes blew wide, suddenly imagining getting fucked from both ends, not by the men at my sides—but by fully shifted, muscled wolf-men.
And I’d be lying if I said my dick didn’t jump at the thought.
Interesting.
“The lines become blurred in heated moments like sex, Hudson,” Emery said sharply, tugging at my chin so I’d look him in the eye. “It’s not a pretty thing when an aroused wolf comes across an unwary hunter in the woods.”
“That… happens?” I breathed, trying to push away the mental image.
“It has.” Em nodded slowly. “Not often and never to me. And it will never happen with Tyler, but around you…” Taking my face in both hands, he pulled me to his lips.
A kiss deeper than desire. Further than intimacy, radiating safety and promise.
“...you are always going to be the greatest temptation for us. I won’t risk it. ”
“Neither will I, baby boy,” Tyler said sadly, squeezing my thigh.
“No unhinged werewolf banging, got it.” With a pout, I dropped my head to Emery’s chest.
Tyler and Emery shared a wide-eyed look, then turned to me. “Is that…” Emery fumbled, swallowing hard, “...something you actually wanted?”
I shrugged, crossing my arms over my chest. “I didn’t, but now that I know it’s not an option, I do.”
“Brat,” Tyler scoffed.
“Such a brat,” Emery said with a laugh, wrapping his arms around me and Tyler.
We sat in silence for a good while, sharing our body heat, enjoying the crackle of the fire as we gazed up at the stars.
Tyler shifted to rest his head on my chest while I stroked his hair.
Emery held us both as I lay in his lap, occasionally reaching up to brush my fingers over the scruff of his beard. Two hands. Two boys.
I was made to love them both.
Suddenly, Emery’s entire body stiffened beneath me. My eyes snapped up to his, watching them dart around the space. His nose twitched.
He smelled something.
“Em?”
“Get inside,” he grunted, sliding out from under us.
“How many?” I jumped up, following his hurried steps down the shoreline with Tyler right behind me.
“Two,” he snapped over his shoulder. “Hudson, I need you—”
“I’m not leaving you to handle two wolves on your own, Emery.”
“Neither am I,” Tyler shouted.
“Ty, you’re not safe out here!” I called back to him.
“Neither of you are!” Emery bellowed, suddenly gripping my shoulders as he appeared in front of me at supernatural speed. “Hudson, please, just—”
“You’re my protector, I get it, Emery.” I set my jaw, glaring at him. “But I’ve been fighting off werewolves for the past three years. Just because one got the jump on me with fucking tear gas doesn’t mean I can’t watch your back.”
With a furrowed brow, he glanced over my shoulder to Tyler, then whipped back to scan the edge of the woods in the distance. “Keep your guard up,” he finally said, turning to me. “I’m going to scout, nothing more, I promise.” He crushed his lips against mine, then vanished.
