Epilogue

EPILOGUE

BEAST

It’s been just over 6 weeks since that night. The police put what happened to Bobby’s house as gang warfare, what with the doctor videoing shit and the sea of dead bodies in his house. The plus side was that the fire crew managed to put the house fire out, and we were able to cremate what was left of Bobby. It was a brutal thing to do, but necessary for Belle and the rest of the club to move on without suspicion. Scar was out of hospital within a week. I think he drove the staff insane, and they ended up kicking him out. Buzz took longer to recover, but he’s good and back fighting fit, all thanks to Dixie. They both would have died if it wasn’t for her.

“You sure you want to do this?” I ask Belle as we stand at the edge of the lake.

She nods as she holds out the jar, sprinkling Bobby’s ashes. “Say hi to Mom for me,” she says softly. I wrap my arm around her, holding her close. “He loved this place. He would bring us here for our family time. No work, just us,” she sighs.

I give her arm a little squeeze. “I’m sorry darlin’, but we need to go, or we will be late,” I state, looking at my watch. She nods.

“Can’t keep them all waiting.” She smiles as she wipes her face. I place a soft kiss on her lips. “Come on, or Star will lose her mind.”

I take her hand in mine and lead her back to my bike. “I don’t give a shit. It was important for you to do this today. She can kiss my ass,” I grumble.

“She’s put in a lot of effort, is all,” she defends. I hand her the helmet. “I told you I’m not wearing it. It will ruin my hair,” she argues.

“So will your brains splattered all over the fucking road. You wore it on the way here, you can wear it on the way back. Your hair looks fine,” I argue. She huffs and takes the helmet. I climb on my bike, and she hitches up her dress before swinging her leg over. “Careful how you’re swinging your leg over there, beautiful. I don’t want everyone seeing what’s mine,” I warn.

“Just ride,” she snaps.

I grin. “Yes, dear,” I tease. She wraps her hands around my waist, giving me a little slap.

We arrive at the club, and Star is stood there with her arms folded across her chest, tapping her toe impatiently. “Told you she would be upset,” Belle hisses behind me.

She climbs off the bike, removing her helmet. “Star, I’m sorry, but I had to scatter his ashes today,” Belle explains.

Star softens. “It’s fine, I get it. But really, you had to wear a helmet?” She sighs. Belle gives me a look and I hold my hands up in surrender. “I might have known it was the overprotective biker. Come on. Josie can quickly sort it,” Star says as she grabs Belle’s hand. She pauses and turns to me. “And you get in there. Everyone is waiting,” she snaps.

I sigh and walk around the side of the club where everyone is stood around chatting. All the brothers are wearing black jeans, with white T-shirts and their cuts. It’s the smartest you’ll ever fucking see a bunch of outlaws. Hawk looks in my direction, spotting me.

“Fucking here he is!” he yells. My brothers all turn around to look at me and cheer.

Ghost walks up to me, handing me a bottle of whiskey. I take it and down a large gulp. “Shit, that hits the spot.” I cough.

Ghost laughs and slaps my back. “Figured you may want something strong.”

“Come on! Sort yourselves out!” Queenie yells from behind us.

We all move, and a few brothers begin muttering and grumbling. “She okay?” Ghost asks.

“Yeah, she held it together pretty well considering,” I state.

“She’s a strong woman. She can handle a lot.” Ghost nods.

I raise my brow at him. “She ain’t a fucking thoroughbred horse.”

Ghost’s lips twitch, fighting a smile.

“Excuse me, but its time,” the guy in front says. I nod and he gives the signal. The notes of ‘Love You To Death’ by Type O Negative starts playing.

We turn to face everyone. “You choose this song, or did she?” Ghost asks.

I smile, just as the lyrics ‘the beast inside me is gonna get ya’ sing. “She did.”

We stop talking as Josie carries Maisy down the aisle, followed by Dixie and Maggie in their matching green dresses smiling, but I’m not paying them any attention. My eyes are on the woman behind, my woman that’s about to become my wife. She walks with her arm linked through Star’s, her sheer white dress clinging to her stunning curves. Her deep red hair is pinned to one side, her curls flowing freely down her shoulder. I’ve already seen her in her dress. We broke tradition so she could say goodbye to Bobby, but right now it’s like I’m seeing her for the first time all over again. She comes to a stop just in front of me, her smile lighting up my fucking soul. I lean in and wrap my hand around the back of her head and kiss her, my tongue invading her mouth, needing to taste her.

Ghost pats me on the shoulder. “Brother, wrong part. You’ve got to say I do first.” He laughs. I break the kiss and lean my head against hers.

“You look fucking stunning,” I tell her, ignoring everyone else.

She smiles. “You’ve already seen me.”

“Every time I see you feels like the first time,” I tell her.

She blinks the tears back, fighting her emotions.

“If we could just do the ceremony,” the guy interrupts. I give him a stern look. “Er, or we can wait,” he adds nervously.

Belle nudges me, telling me off. We turn and face the front and the ceremony begins. He rushes it, getting straight to the I do’s. I’m not complaining. The sooner she has the ring on her finger and my cut on her back, the sooner I can fuck her. My wife.

“Er, there is one thing I need to tell you, before we do this,” Belle says anxiously.

I frown, searching her face, trying to gage what’s wrong. “Belle?” I press.

“So, is the whole breeding thing just a kink, or were you actually trying to get me pregnant?” she asks, smiling.

My grin cannot get any fucking wider as I look down at her stomach. “You carrying my kid?” I ask her.

She nods. “You’re going to be a dad,” she beams, tears filling her eyes.

I lower myself down to my knees and kiss her stomach. “I fucking knocked her up!” I cheer. Everyone cheers and laughs.

“Yes, lovely. Congrats. Do you er, take each other as man and wife?” he asks. I’m pretty sure he’s just making the service up as he goes along, desperate to get out of here. I get up off my knees to continue the ceremony.

“Yes,” we both answer.

“Excellent. Rings?” he asks. We reach for our rings and place them on the other’s fingers. “Well done. Congratulations. I now declare you man and wife! You may kiss the bride,” he announces. Everyone cheers, and I thread my fingers through her hair and yank, tilting her head back.

“You’re mine now, wife,” I growl across her lips.

She smiles. “Always have been, and I always will be.”

I crash my mouth to hers, kissing her ruthlessly. As I break the kiss, her eyes are hooded, and her lips are slightly swollen. Star hands me Belle’s cut and I quickly grab it and drape it over her shoulders. Property of Beast is written on the patch.

Everyone is drinking, eating, or dancing. Belle is dancing with Enzo in her arms, smiling and laughing with him.

“Well, I never thought I’d see the day one of us fuckers would get married,” Spider says, sitting next to me. “And not just married, but knocking her up too! A double whammy.”

I look at him. “You wait. It will be you soon,” I point out.

Spider shakes his head. “No fucking way. I’m the lone ranger and that is the way I like it.”

Ghost snorts. “Yeah well, I thought that and now I all I want is her. No one else will ever be good enough.” He shrugs.

“Trust me, each and every one of you single fuckers will get caught. Some bitch will come along and that’s it, you are fucked. Literally.” Hawk laughs, and the rest of us join in.

Rage stands and looks towards the parking lot, seeing a woman with a suitcase walking towards us. “Thought we told the club bunnies to stay away today?” Spider asks. We all exchange a look.

“We did,” Ghost says.

We all stand, our hands on our guns as she approaches. We form a barricade so she can’t go any further. She stops, looking anxious. “Hi, sorry to interrupt. I’m looking for Nash?” she asks.

I look at Ghost, whose face remains expressionless. “Who are you?” Ghost asks, bypassing her question.

“Oh, um, I’m Nova. I’m Nash’s sister,” she states.

We all look to each other. We only ever call ourselves by our road names. I certainly don’t remember any of us being called Nash. “He doesn’t have a sister,” Spider states. I look at Spider who is glaring at her.

“Oh um, he does. I am her. Our mother, she was a bit of a hippy, free love and all that,” she rambles nervously. “Here, I have a photo,” she says, handing it over. Spider snatches it, his jaw ticking as he looks at it before he hands it to Ghost.

“Acid,” Ghost states, staring down at the picture. “And you’re the baby in the picture?” Ghost asks.

She nods. “Yeah, there is around 8 years between us.”

I look at the photo and there is no mistaking that it is a young Acid. Shit. “So, why have you come here?” Spider snaps.

She rubs her arm. “Er, um, I’ve been looking for him for a while since Mom died,” she answers.

“And you just expected to stay here, too?” Spider asks, pointing to her suitcase.

She looks down at her suitcase. “Oh no. Not at all. I am happy to check into a motel,” she answers.

Ghost sighs. “He ain’t here, darlin’. He’s gone nomad.”

She looks confused. “What’s nomad?” she asks.

Star comes running over. “What are you guys doing?” she asks. Her eyes land on Nova. “Oh hi. Who is this?” she asks.

“Apparently, it’s Acid’s sister,” Ghost states.

Star looks at her. “I can see the resemblance. But you are much prettier. You staying with us for a few days?” she asks.

“Oh, I don’t want to intrude. I will just stay at a motel,” Nova answers.

“Don’t be silly, there’s room in the club, and if Acid knows his sister is here, he may come back. Spider, why don’t you set her up in a room? Then come out, have some food, and you can meet everyone,” Star offers.

“Woman,” Ghost growls.

“What?” Star snaps at him. They have a stare off and eventually she rolls her eyes. “Nova, are you from a rival club, a gang, an axe murderer, a crazy person that is going to kill us all in our sleep, or worse, a Swiftie?” Star asks.

“Star,” Ghost growls, getting pissed off.

“I’m joking, I’m joking. I don’t mind a couple of her songs.” Star laughs, rolling her eyes. “Jeez, ignore him. He loves a bit of Taylor, don’t you, Casper?” Star teases.

Ghost turns and picks up Star, throwing her over his shoulder. She screams, laughing as he spanks her behind. The rest of the brothers all laugh and walk off back to the party, all apart from me and Spider. “You good to show her to a room?” I ask him.

His eyes are pinned on her. “Yeah, brother. It’s your wedding. Go,” he orders, his eyes still pinned on Nova. I give her a smile before returning back to the party.

Belle comes over to me and I wrap her in my arms, kissing her. “Who is that?” she asks, looking over at Spider and Nova.

I sigh. “That is trouble.”
