Chapter 13 #2
She pulled the same move, only this time, because of how strongly I held her to me, she struggled more than last time, but as she wiggled around, her ass hitting against my groin at some point and causing me to grunt, she broke free, shoving her hands into my chest as she pushed herself away.
“Very good.”
Her smile was back, in full force this time, lighting up her entire face.
“I like that look on you,” she said, pointing at me before adjusting her ponytail.
“What look?” I had no idea what she referred to.
“When you smile. You actually look like someone who doesn’t murder people for a living.”
“Wha… I don’t murder people.”
“I’m exaggerating, of course. But most of the time you do look like you want to hurt someone. It wouldn’t kill you to smile every once in a while. Like I said, it looks good on you.” She toyed with the hem of her shirt when I didn’t respond right away.
“Smiling is reserved for happy people,” I finally said, uncomfortable indulging in this type of banter.
“And you’re not happy?”
“Not generally, no.”
“Why? What’s so wrong with—”
“Stop.” I rubbed at the sudden ache that had formed in the center of my chest. “I agreed to show you some moves. Not discuss life.” My tone was curter than I intended, and the aversion of her eyes told me she understood not to push.
“Sorry.” The corner of her bottom lip disappeared between her teeth. “We can stop if you want.”
“I have a couple more to show you, and then we’ll stop.”
“Okay.”
Diving right back into the reason why we’d entered this back room, I moved toward her. Her eyes locked to mine before she dropped her eyeline. The movement was subtle, but I caught her staring at my mouth before she looked back up. I could’ve called her out on it, but I refrained.
“The next position is called the mount.”
Her lips parted, and if I wasn’t mistaken, she looked a bit frightened. Although there was a fair amount of intrigue laced behind her stare as well.
“Lie down on the floor.”
Hesitation weaved through her movements as she lowered herself to the ground, her breathing picking up when I straddled her waist.
“Are you all right?”
Sophie snapped her lips closed and inhaled deeply through her nose before releasing the air from her lungs.
“Are you all right?” I repeated, needing her answer before continuing.
“I know you’re not going to hurt me, but this position is scary.”
“This position would be scary for any woman. I get it. But it’s necessary in case you find yourself tangled up with someone you don’t want to be. You need to know how to escape.”
With her delicate form beneath me, I lost the battle to keep the torrid images at bay.
As one after another swirled through my mind, I wondered what it would be like to fuck her, to hear her moan.
Would the scrape of her nails down my back draw blood?
Would she be so lost in ecstasy, she’d bite me?
Would I sink my teeth into her tender flesh?
I imagined taking her in every position, filling every hole, pounding into her until she lost her voice from screaming. I wanted to fu—
“Jackson? Are you okay?” Her soft voice pulled me out of my head and back to reality. “You looked like you were somewhere else.”
I’d been looking down at her the entire time, but while I was lost to my imagination, I’d been staring right through her.
“I was just thinking of the best way to demonstrate this move,” I lied. “That’s all.”
“Let’s see what you’ve got,” she joked, but the stiffness in her posture betrayed her lingering apprehension.
“It’s pointless for you to try and strike your attacker in the face because your reach isn’t long enough, and all that will serve to do will be to infuriate him even more.
Harness your energy, and use it for when you need to buck me off you.
Try to do it now.” I sat upright, pinning her body to the floor with nothing more than my weight.
My hands rested on my thighs as she struggled beneath me, barely moving me at all. “Do you see how exerted you are?”
The expanse of her chest intensified; her frustration mixed with uncertainty laid claim to her entire body.
“Yes.”
“I know you’re probably thinking, ‘Why not just punch him in the nuts,’ right?”
“The thought did cross my mind.”
I held back a smirk. “If you do and manage to knock him off you, great. But if you don’t, he will unleash his anger by punching you, probably unconscious, leaving you vulnerable for whatever he wants to do to you. He has a much better advantage over you in this position.”
Sophie struggled to get me off her one more time but gave up quickly. “There’s no way I can get you off me.”
“You will.”
“How?” she asked, disbelief clipping her voice.
“Before I show you, I’m going to switch positions to demonstrate how.
” With only a few quick movements, Sophie took my position and straddled my waist. A flush painted her cheeks when I flashed her a brief grin.
I hadn’t meant to, but the muscles in my face reacted before my brain could shut them down.
“Of course you’d find this amusing.” She playfully smacked my chest, parting her lips to say something else, but I hooked my leg over hers, grabbed her wrist and her bicep and bucked her until we were back in our original placements with me pinning her down. “How did you do that?” she asked.
“Easy.”
“I’m sure it was. For you. There is no way I’m ever going to be able to flip you off me. You’re too big.”
“It doesn’t matter what my size is or the size of your attacker. If you set it up right, you’ll be able to get him off you.”
“Show me.”
Eagerness beamed behind her eyes, the slow lick of her lips tempting me to conjure more thoughts I shouldn’t, especially while sitting on top of her.
“Grab my wrist,” I instructed, tapping my right arm.
“No, don’t use your thumb. Just wrap your four fingers around me.
That’s called a monkey hold. But since I can still slip out of your grip by pulling my arm back toward me, you’ll need to also grab my tricep at the same time.
Good.” I tugged. “See how it’s harder for me to dislodge from your grip? ”
“Yeah.”
“Okay, raise your left leg and hook it over my leg. Keep your elbows close to your body. Don’t let my knees breach the space past your rib cage. Now bend your other leg and put it in the center of mine. Perfect. Now use your hips to propel yourself and flip me over.”
She froze and I wasn’t sure if it was because she feared she wouldn’t be able to accomplish the task or if she was afraid she would.
Sometimes being empowered scared people.
She raised her hips from the floor, securing her hold on my wrist and arm at the same time, and when she moved to the left, I moved with her. I was on my back seconds later.
“I did it!” Her wide eyes were no match for the biggest smile I’d ever seen. “I can’t believe I got you on your back.”
“You sure did. Good job, Sophie.” Going against my inner warning, I said, “Do you want to practice it again?”
“Yes.” Her excitement was palpable, contagious even.
She bucked me off her three more times, and each time her enthusiasm built. For as tiny as she was, her being able to dismount someone my size and strength surely gave her a sense of not only accomplishment but safety.
“I have one other move I want to show you, and then we’ll be done.” A shudder of what I could only describe as disappointment weaved its way behind her eyes. I wouldn’t admit it, but I was afflicted as well. “I need you on your back again, only this time I want you to spread your legs.”
Because what we were doing right now was purely for her safety, I hoped my body didn’t betray me. My dick twitched when I asked her to spread her legs. I just prayed he behaved himself for this next move.
