Begrudgingly Yours (Fraternizing Omegas #2)
Prologue

There’s a moment in every alpha’s life when he has to start asking himself the serious questions.
How do I envision my future? How big of a pack do I want?
Do I shoot my shot with the pretty blue-haired omega or do I let my best friend have her?
This is what I’m currently debating. Neither of us have been able to keep our eyes off of her all night, and it feels inevitable that one of us will take her home.
And by home , I mean the bedroom that we share at Alpha Xi fraternity. I guess whoever she doesn’t pick will have to fuck off until the magical night is over but I’m not sure I’m capable of that kind of restraint.
“We’re being cowards,” Dax hisses, taking another sip of his god-awful cocktail. Seriously, there’s way too many dark liquors in that cup .
“Of course we are. I don’t want you to be chosen over me. Just look at what you’re drinking.”
His head whips towards me. “Excuse me? At least I’m not drinking a miller lite .”
I look at the can of beer in my hand and realize I am, in fact, drinking a miller lite. I thought it was something else, but then again, Rory was in my line of sight when I ventured off to the kitchen. I think that’s a valid reason for not paying close enough attention.
Rory . Her name short-circuits my brain in the most pleasing way.
I can’t believe I’ve never seen her before.
If I had ran into someone like her on campus, I would have definitely remembered.
Her hair is a stunning dark blue that I’ve been tracking like a beacon.
It’s tied up, with messy strands fanning her face, and it exposes all the different piercings she has lining her ears.
“That’s beside the point,” I lecture, even though I’m the one who started it. “The bottom line is… you’ve been flirting with her, I’ve been flirting with her, and neither one of us knows who she likes more.”
“Yes we do, you’re just in denial.”
I swallow the instinct to take another jab at him and instead turn to watch the woman in question across the room.
She’s talking to her best friend, who just happens to be the one responsible for tonight. Stacia wanted to do something special for her prime alpha, who also happens to be our captain.
The fact that this omega has existed this entire time right under my nose feels tragic. Like every moment not knowing her has been a waste.
It doesn’t take her long to spot us. She raises an eyebrow and tilts her head before flashing the most charismatic smile. Dax elbows me a little bit too hard.
“Did you see that? She smiled at me. ”
I rub the spot where he hit me and scoff. “At you ?”
“Didn’t you see? You were looking just as intently as I was.”
Yes, I was. That’s how I know she was smiling at me .
Dax may have more charm between the two of us, but my interactions with her tonight have been effortless.
Every glance, every flirty word in passing, has lit a fire inside me that I refuse to let go out.
She’s witty, gorgeous, sultry… everything I want in an omega.
Whether it’s exploring this chemistry between us or simply getting to know each other better, I want to spend as much time with her as she’ll allow.
Not to mention, her sweet scent does things to me that I didn’t know was possible.
When she leaned across me earlier to get her drink from the counter, deliberately teasing me, there was a rush of cranberry that hit me in the chest like a fucking puck.
I’ve never responded to someone that viscerally, never felt this electrically charged before.
I want to plug this feeling into a switch and use every bit of power it fuels within me.
Just as I think that, Rory makes her way toward us. Her eyes flick between us and suddenly, I’m nervous. Maybe I’m wrong and Dax is the one she’s been scoping out all night.
Before I can properly think through that scenario, she’s there in front of us, her face adorning the cutest and sassiest expression. I can’t be bothered to hide my amusement.
“Well,” she starts. “We’ve been dancing around this all night. I thought maybe you’d come ask me yourself, but it looks like I have to step up.”
We both hold our breaths. Is she looking at me? Oh god, I think she’s looking at him.
“Do you two want to get out of here?”
The second the words are said, there’s a mix of emotions that float through me. Excitement, confusion.. maybe a tiny bit of worry that I just hallucinated?
“Are you asking both of us?” Dax asks as he hesitantly points between us. It looks like he’s having the same hallucination.
She chuckles at us. “Yes, both of you. Is that a problem?”
Is it a problem? To be honest, it seems like the perfect solution to what we’ve been stressing over for the past couple hours. It never even occurred to me that she might want us both .
“No, not a problem.” I finally find my tongue, coughing slightly when my words come out husky. “Let’s get out of here.”
“Do you guys mind if—” She hesitates, biting her lip. “Can we go to Alpha Xi? No offense, but I don’t let anyone but my friends inside my room. Especially not alphas.”
We both grin. “We’re happy to oblige, Rory,” I say, which causes a glint of appreciation to shine in her eyes.
Something tells me her boundaries have been crossed one too many times, so her concern of it happening again is genuine. I make a note of that. I don’t want to do anything that would make her uncomfortable.
“We have condoms, too,” Dax says, and I wince. I know he’s trying to show that we’re accommodating, but I’m this close to kicking his ass.
Her body shakes with laughter. She pushes some of the fallen strands of her hair behind her ear and reaches into her purse before pulling out a little plastic square. “Don’t worry, so do I.”
Okay, cool. Dax didn’t just ruin this. I don’t have to kick his ass just yet.
“You guys ready, or what?” she asks, her brow raised.
I have a feeling that she’s about to turn our world upside down.

The cab ride over is laced with tension.
Dax is making small talk, flirting, whispering in her ear.
I’ve never been very sultry, but Dax is balancing out my quiet demeanor.
I can’t hear what he’s saying but her scent blooms with every hushed word.
My cock strains against my jeans, uncomfortable but very welcomed.
When we turn onto our street, Rory’s hand finds my knee.
It courses up my leg, leaving goosebumps in its wake.
I grit my teeth for any semblance of control, especially when I see her other hand doing the same thing to Dax.
She follows a path, determined, and cups us both.
I let out a groan from deep in my throat just as the cab pulls up to Alpha Xi and parks on the street to let us out.
Dax tips the man generously as we get out. Once Rory’s feet hit the pavement, I wrap my arm around her and swing her over my shoulder as she yelps with a laughing squeal.
“Shh, Omega,” I whisper to her and slap her ass. “You don’t want to wake up our brothers, do you?”
She slaps my own ass back in response and it causes a hearty chuckle to escape me. I carry her into the house while Dax follows behind us and laughs. “Is the neanderthal coming out, Weir?”
“What did you just call him?” Rory asks, both confusion and a startled fury buried in her words.
“It’s his last name, love,” Dax replies. I can feel his hands on her as we move up the stairs, pulling her head up to look him in the eyes. “But the only names you’ll be calling either of us tonight are Alpha or God.”
She lets out a moan that hits me right in the balls.
I turn into our room, and the second Dax closes the door, the energy snaps.
I toss Rory onto my bed, and her little wicked laugh pulls me right in.
When my lips finally meet hers, it’s a whirlpool of power exploding between us.
There’s no build-up; we’re already there, fully immersed in the pleasure our bodies have been waiting for.
Our tongues dance together, each fighting for dominance when a screeching sound breaks through and startles us.
We both look over and see Dax pushing his bed over the wooden floor to us, which causes us to burst into laughter.
He laughs too, and then moves my end table, knocking over shit that’s probably important but I’ll worry about it tomorrow.
When he finally gets them pushed together to create more space, he crawls onto the bed and joins us.
We all kick off our shoes to get more comfortable, and then I fall to one side of Rory while Dax takes the other. The energy slows down a little, but there’s still so much tension as he and I watch her nearly squirm with anticipation between us.
“Have you ever been with more than one person at a time?” Dax asks her in a sensual whisper. I gently caress my knuckle over her, starting at her neck and traveling down over her chest. Her breathing slows as she shakes her head.
We’ve never been with the same girl, and she’s never been with two men, so this experience feels like a first for all three of us. That thought causes me to caress my knuckle further down, her breath hitching when it hits the bare skin just escaping from beneath her shirt.
My finger finds the button of her jeans.
She stares at it, her lip barely visible from between her teeth.
“We can go slow… or fast. However you want. You can have anything you want,” I whisper as I pop the button open, continuing my slow movements as her hips lift ever so slightly, trying to get friction.
“Just… please. Touch me.”
Dax kisses her then, soft and gentle as I work her jeans all the way off.
She leans up as he removes her shirt, only breaking their kiss long enough to get it over her head.
She isn’t wearing a bra and that discovery causes me to bite my knuckle.
Dax and I are obviously trying to slowly ease all of us into this, but the puckered state of her nipples causes my alpha to growl in my chest.
