Epilogue
DALLAS
Casey threads his fingers through my hair and scratches my scalp just the way I like. “You sure you want to do this? Once you torture someone, something changes in you.”
“I’m sure.” I swallow. Casey found the guys that raped my sister. Kendra hacked their release files and Casey kidnapped them just for me. He didn’t even say he was doing it, just did it and surprised me today.
He makes sure I’m covered from head to toe in black.
“The voice modulator is on the computer, so it’ll automatically change our voices. You memorized all our emergency codes and fake names, right?”
I tap the side of my head. “All in my brain.” I’ve been learning for the last six months and today is the day I get to torture someone on my own.
I can’t see Casey’s smile because of the balaclava, but I can read his body language.
He hands me an earpiece. “Ready?”
“As I’ll ever be.”
“Ready when you are,” Kendra says over the earpiece.
Hayden gives me a thumbs up from across the room. He’s here for moral support.
Casey switches the lights on, making the four men behind us groan. The three rapists and the dirty judge. Casey winks and flips open the laptop.
“Hello my lovely freaks. As you can see, I have someone very special with me today to help take care of the monsters behind me.” Casey goes through the rest of his spiel and turns to me.
I can’t help the grin and say his iconic question. “Now, what can we get started for you?”
