Bonus Epilogue #2
His eyes fluttered closed as he tongued her, like he was thoroughly enjoying himself.
Losing himself in the moment. She loved seeing this gorgeous man on his knees for her, tasting her with eager strokes of his tongue.
His hands were firm and commanding, forcing her legs even wider.
All she could do was lie back and bite down on her knuckle so she wouldn’t cry out.
Then she felt the dildo sliding into her entrance, and she nearly lost it. Sylvie pushed her breath through her nose, pressing her lips together. Dominic fucked her with the toy as he flicked his tongue rapidly over her clit. Heat and need and pleasure were building inside her to a fevered pitch.
Just as she was about to reach the finish line, he withdrew the toy and sat back. Sylvie’s eyes bulged, trying to send the message—What the hell? But he clearly had other plans.
Dominic scooped up her petite frame and sat upright at the edge of the bed.
He positioned her over his lap. She sank down onto his cock and inhaled sharply as he filled her.
This angle was just what she needed. Dominic’s hips bucked upward, pumping his shaft into her, and then she was tipping her head back.
Panting. Overwhelmed by the waves of pleasure coursing through her.
She was moaning and the bed was creaking, but she really didn’t care anymore.
He made a breathy gasp. She knew that face. His eyelids were heavy, plush lips slightly open.
“Fuuuuck,” he said hoarsely as he came, his cock pulsing inside her.
She stared into his eyes, and Dominic touched his forehead to hers. This was one of her favorite parts of their love making. The tender sweetness in his gaze. That look that was only for her.
Then she heard Faith out in the living room. Giggling. “Um, sorry. I’m putting my headphones on. Just FYI.”
“We’re done anyway,” Sylvie called out. “I promise.”
“Until round two.” Dominic pulled her down onto the bed with him, cuddling her against him as they both tried and failed not to laugh.
“You know, Max told me a few months ago he was going to ask Lana to marry him.”
They were still naked and lazing in bed, though it was getting late, and they should probably go to sleep. But Sylvie usually tried to stay up with him as late as she could. He appreciated the gesture. He still wasn’t a great sleeper at night.
“Really?” she asked. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me.”
“I wanted to. But it seemed like he was trusting me with something.”
“That’s sweet that you and Max had a little secret.” She rested her cheek on his chest. “Lana’s been good for him. She softens his edges.”
“And you do the same for me. Something Max and I have in common.” He kissed her hairline. “Have you ever thought about getting married?”
Her head tilted to look at him. “To you? Or to some other guy?”
He shrugged, like this wasn’t remotely a serious topic. “To anyone.”
“I haven’t always been a fan of the institution. I’ve never really seen the need. But…” She snuggled against him. “I’m starting to understand the appeal. Vowing to love and cherish another person in front of everyone you know, so there’s no doubt whatsoever. What about you?”
“Same.” He hadn’t valued many institutions in general, and marriage hadn’t resulted in stability as far as the Crane family was concerned.
But standing up with Sylvie? It did sound nice.
“If it was you and me, the bride’s side would have all the people.
My side would be like a scene from an old Western.
Tumbleweeds rolling by.” He spun his fingers in a circle, snorting a laugh.
Dominic had made progress over the last months, but he knew he had a long way to go.
He needed to laugh at himself. Kept him from focusing on the negative, which he didn’t want to do.
He had so, so much good in his life. Starting with this woman in his arms. He never wanted to take that for granted.
“Maureen would have to be my best man. Best person?”
“I bet Maureen looks excellent in a tux,” Sylvie said.
He grinned at the image.
Actually, he hoped Raymond would play the role of best man.
If he and Sylvie got married someday. Hopefully, by then, it would be safe for Raymond to leave hiding.
The last Dominic had heard from his brother, he was happy.
New girlfriend, stellar grades at his new school.
The trial was still a long way off. That was just reality. But someday… Someday.
“But I don’t think you’re right,” Sylvie said. “At our wedding, there would be no my side, your side. That’s way too old-fashioned for us. And besides that, my people are your people now. Like it or not, you’re part of the Bennett Security family.”
He thought of what Tanner had said. You’re one of the good guys now, Nic.
“But you realize what that means, right?” she asked.
He lifted his eyebrows.
“Max will try to boss you around. So look out.”
“I can handle Max Bennett.”
“Oh, we all think so. But then…”
“Nope. The only person at Bennett Security who can boss me around is you.”
“Really? I’m liking the sounds of that.”
“Hope Faith has those headphones on.” He leaned over and kissed her, eager for round two.
