Between Good and Evil

A small group of family and friends were on hand to witness the marriage of Kenneth Douglas Russell to MacKayla Yvette Harrison, with Father Ramon as the officiant. MacKayla’s sister stood as her maid of honor, and Francis D’Allesandro was Kenneth’s best man.

The prosecutors representing the Southern District of New York were shocked when the jury found Frankie not guilty of all charges.

His lawyers had worked their magic when they were able to convince the jury that undercover DEA agent Sophia Toscano had used entrapment to bring charges against their client.

Frankie knew he’d been given a second chance, and now strictly followed the rules his godfather had established to run the family businesses.

What he hadn’t disclosed to anyone was that the cash hidden in the safe beneath the false floor had decreased appreciably by more than half, most of it going for legal fees.

He’d willingly given the barracudas what they asked for to get their client off.

After the reception that was held in the dining room of the manse concluded, Kenny and Frankie joined Ray in his study and hoisted flutes of champagne. They toasted one another, smiling because they were together again.

Brothers for life.
