Chapter Six

CHAPTER SIX

JAGGER

I dropped Niki’s bag into my room and locked the door before going to find Skully. He was standing at the bar chatting with my girl when he saw me. I jerked my head towards the door. He followed me out.

“We have a fucking issue. Bolt and Cutter have that senator’s daughter who is missing. They brought her into the clubhouse in broad fucking daylight too. I’m almost positive Niki saw them. I felt her tense up on the bike when we arrived and I spotted Bolt carrying her over his shoulder, school uniform and all.” I was so pissed, and I needed to know who was in on it. Walking around the back towards their rooms we saw Joker yelling at them for being late. Both looked squirrely and nervous. Cutter kept glancing towards their room. Finally, Joker noticed this and said something.

“What the fuck do you have in your room that you’re so nervous about?” he accused. I decided it was time to speak up, if he was in on it, he would know who was in there. Skully and I walked around the back with our guns aimed at Bolt and Cutter.

“I was going to tell you that our job we have this weekend is not going to happen. Seems these two assholes are working both sides. I saw them with the gang leaders last night and I saw the Senator’s daughter with them. That’s who is in your clubhouse without you knowing.” I pulled Joker a few feet away where they couldn’t hear me. “I also have a feeling our new bartender is a cop. I believe she is trying to locate the Collins girl, and she saw these idiots drag her into their room.” I hated to throw Niki under the bus, but I was pretty sure I was right.

“What the fuck are you saying?” he looked like he was about to lay into my girl.

“I have a plan that will clear the rest of us, get the girl home safe and end Bolt and Cutter for good. First, we need to get them neutralized.” I suggested.

“Right, Skully go get Mace and Spyder.” Joker never took his eyes off of the two traitors. A few minutes later they walked around carrying some zip ties and duct tape. After Bolt and Cutter were locked in the warehouse, we went back inside. “I know for a fact that Cutter kept a souvenir from when he and Bolt killed the cop. It’s in his room. I say we make it known that they are traitors, and we are going to turn them in for the reward money. Let it be known they were bragging they had killed a cop. We get Niki to come clean and mention the girl then she can get credit for finding both the cop killers and rescuing the victim while we get a pass.”

“I like it, make it happen.” Joker and Mace walked away. As we went back inside two things happened. Niki had gone on a break and went to find the girl in their room. She came back out wearing gloves and holding Horses’ actual wallet and his badge. The girl was trembling beside her wearing a blanket.

“Baby, are you okay, what’s going on?” I had to pretend to be surprised. She looked at me and her eyes were cold just as she started to say something the Feds rolled in.

“Agent McCall, good job. I see you found Miss Collins. Her parents will be happy to see her. I also see you found Agent Millers’ killers. So, we have a lot of arrests to make.” He looked pleased with himself.

“No Sir, Just the two arrests. Bolt and Cutter were acting outside of the club. Nobody else knew what was going on. I just happened to see the two of them carry her to their room before I came in. I took a break and went to find her. She told me that she never saw or heard anything that would lead us to believe the rest of the Dragon Knights were in on their plan. She said they were double crossing the club that they were really affiliated with the Crips.” She had her arms crossed at this point.

“Spyder and I will go collect the two traitors for you. Be right back.” We headed out and snagged them from the warehouse. We didn’t want them anywhere near that. When we walked inside to hand them over to the Feds, I sliced their kuttes off of them. “We don’t do traitors around here.”

I looked up to see Niki or rather Agent McCall walking the scared girl to one of the vans. She looked back at me with sad eyes before climbing inside the vehicle and leaving. I watched her drive away and I didn’t even know her first name.

The next few weeks I kept trying her phone, but it was disconnected. It made sense it was a burner. I knew I was probably never going to see her again but damn it hurt more than I expected it to. I tried to sleep with a couple of the club whores, but I just couldn’t seem to follow through. Going through the motions I went on with my life.
