Dear Diary,

Winnie took me to the petting zoo at the library today. The ducklings were so cute!

I asked the librarian if I could bring one home, and she said I’d have to talk to my mom about it.

See???

Even the librarian thinks Winnie should be my mom!

But Winnie said I could not bring a duckling home, because she’d get fired.

Since I don’t want her to get fired, I took the duckling out of my book bag and put it back.
